I feel like Chase has the most haters in our sport. It’s so odd. He has insane work ethic and drive. Gives it his all every race! What more can you ask for? Yeah he makes mistakes, because he’s not content unless he is winning. Chase if you read this, you may think you were an underdog growing up, but we knew you had “it”. You were always the youngest in the class waxing us with perfect technique! -TM122
You have to learn from your mistakes, and he has a habit of blowing off the criticism. For good or bad. Chase is a hell of a rider and I expect him to figure some of it out this year.
@@shtnrlse I was mad af when he wasn't winning. I can't even begin to fathom how it feels to a pro rider when my emotions are all over the place during racing season.
I want Chase to do well so bad. He's so talented, such a good, well-adjusted kid. So much more humble than those Lawrence boys. Nothing against them, but Chase is just different in such a special way. I'm rooting for you, man! Believe in yourself. YOU ARE the most talented rider out there. You deserve this!
@aus-rider typical response from an Aussie. "In general," like the English, y'all think you're better than us. Their dad talked about how Aussie's have so much pride, and we learn "x" from being aussie, and aussie animals can't walk backwards, so that's our mentality. But it's not just that stuff. Little things like the trash talk Jett did to Jordan Smith(i think) who cut off hunter mid air over the bridge jump, when hunter is just as dirty. Not a good example, and I apologize that I can't think of more right now, but they just really come across as fake and hypocritical. Maybe I'm just a jealous, stupid American, but they just don't come across as genuine. More genuine is Ken Roczen, and he's not American. Like that BS jett did and let Ken by. I had no problem with that as a former racer.....let him by try to learn, pass him back, play with his head....but don't get on the podium and act like you did it as a gift....that's fake! That's BS.
@aus-rider a humble Jett would have said he let Ken by because he knew Ken had his number and wanted to either play it safe or just try to learn from him or try to f**k with his head....whatever....but the "I'm better than everyone, but want to play like I don't act like it," Jett said it was a gift.....that's not humble. Chase wouldn't say BS like that.
Said it before and i'll say it agian..... This guy is Dungey 2.0 The Dunge was an incredible human being on and off the track and still is. Ryan Dungey is Chase Sextons spirit animal. They even ride extremely similar.
Chase doesn't get the credit he deserves for changing the way people think about riding a bike. He is a seriously bad dude, his humbleness is what held him back (imo). I'm so ready to see him smoke these guys this year.
@@aventuraspelocanada9172because he should’ve had the championship wrapped up before tomac and Webb went out. Chase threw away at least 4-5 wins last year, and now since he won because the competition was all lost to injury people think he got gifted the championship. Which is just ludicrous because he kept fighting. Imo it’s one of the most impressive championships ever
The reason I love sexton is because he is a hard worker and won’t cheat anyone for effort. Chase is nice and kind while a lot of other pros have huge egos.
What a great family. Mom and Dad raised an amazing son. Chase is not only a talented rider but a wonderful person. Stay grounded my friend. Good luck this season 🤟🏻
So glad when I 1st took the time to watch a Chase video he seems like a well deserving consistent type who younger people can aspire to. His Family and Lifestyle fit in with his successful career in Motocross which isn't the easiest to be successful at but I take in as much as possible from his way with things thanks for sharing and Thanks Chase 😊
I would argue that, aside from his family, I’m his biggest fan. I always tell people how obvious it is that Chase is a GOOD PERSON. You can see it in him so easily. He is a class act through and through. He’s humble, kind, incredibly talented and obviously such a hard worker. It’s mind blowing to me when people hate on him. He gave my 5 year old daughter his jersey at Redbud this past summer and it absolutely made her entire life. lol. She lights up anytime she gets to watch him race and cheers for him like crazy. Sadly this SX season she is with her dad every race we are close to, and she’s SUPER bummed, but she will be counting down the days until Redbud. I’ll always be a huge fan of Chase. I like plenty of riders, but none even remotely close to how much I like Chase. His parents obviously did a WONDERFUL job raising him.
What an awesome video! This is the guy we need in our sport as a role model ! I feel like he has the most to prove this year and will be keeping the #1 plate !
Best of luck in 2024! Keep up your head high. You keep trying your best and putting the work ethic/effort to win every time no matter what. That means more than the couch/keyboard haters comments. You are a great role model for upcoming riders and kids.
damn I was rooting against this guy last year (cuz of tomac) but now idk who I want to win more. Here's to both guys having a successful and healthy season! see ya'll at A1 🤘
Not gonna lie, everyone is counting out chase this SX season. I mean everyone except Steve matthes of all ppl lol. I didn't forget he was the fastest guy last year in SX. I bet he goes back to back watch for his bike skill to go next level cutting down in those turns late into the mains
Due to certain events in my life I've drawn more interest back into motocross and when I found out where he was from that made me fan by default however this video really gives me something to be a fan about. I never knew he grew up so close.
18:23 this. This is what makes motocross such a great sport and what drew me to it older in life. The culture seems so unpolluted by a lot of the modern BS we see elsewhere.
Until they can accomplish what you've done they haven't a leg to stand on trying to judge and tell you what your doing and doing wrong. Until they can go out and put'r in the almighty beasty boy mode you and Eli were capable of putting that dirt bike in like another gear and put'n her on cruise control maken'r look easy peasy. The more you enjoy going fast the faster you'll ride all the while knowing how good it looks going fast like that, kinda like poetry in fast ass motion. Hats off young man your coming into your own, let'r rip
Chase has had a golden opportunity in that Jett dropped out. Jett was the only guy capable of stealing points from him. The real question is “ can Chase dominate when is fiercest competitor is back? I think he can.
Iron man last uear couple brothers weren't very nice to my son ...but this guy right here got off his bike from setting sag n bars what not before free practice right after them eggs were cooked an came over to spread some moto love.... good guy for the sport for years to come.....but man I would love to see a mad as heck sexton unleashing
I always admire what a talented rider chase is and he has a bright future moving forward if he can nip whatever it is in the butt that keeps putting him on the ground wether it’s the “bike” or a mental thing. Either way, the way he won the championship last year just doesn’t sit right with me. People can justify it all they want on why it was legit and I’m sure a lot of it is probably true. But it still just doesn’t feel right if you know what I mean. I’m still happy for him though, he’s a good dude and a hell of a competitor. I’d be more than happy to take that back if he can cement himself another championship.
Chase reminds me so much of Dungey when it comes to his personality and if there is any other rider that could be on the cover of a Wheaties box besides Dungey is chase
@alpinestars, just a quick input on the edit. I like the edit and the cinematohraphy is okay but it might be worth to spend a little more effort on color correction & grading because several of the shots a way of regarding white balance especially in the locked of talking shots where the different angles are very different in white balance. Love the concept of the overall video, great to get som insight into the riders just as you did with Jet.
Mad respect and I love his family and the sport but I honestly feel like he’s a little slower on this bike. And I feel like it’s the bike not him. I guess we’ll see come, A1.
Chase comes from good people! And he is a perfect example of what good parenting can create! And he is very Tenacious and Humble!
You know, around here we call them Minnesota nice, eh.
