He brought forth some priceless gems of Vedantic texts like Drk Drisya Viveka, Aparokshanubhuti and Mandukya karika which were so far quite unknown to ordinary people like us. What is more interesting is his talks don't merely revolve around these texts but other interesting books like Why Buddhism is true, Tao of physics etc which agnostic and atheist communities may find quite interesting. If you really want to know who you really are, don't miss his talks.
I love how he recognizes the changes that have happened in our society, and then teaches us how to lead an ethical life. Rational and unbiased explanation!
Great teachings... Humans are forget ful ....so we need to listen such teachings everyday in the morning ....if possible ... government / school s should teach those ..in every schools....offices..and publicly in India.
What is my SvaDharma has long been by own question and it is solved here. Wonderful ! Thank you Swami ! So it’s about perfroming all the various roles sincerely that are genuine to me. It’s not about if I have to be an actor or an office clerk. And especially the Dharma that relates you with God. Awesome !
sharauro yes I did and I was lacking suitable words for comment. Hence it goes like this - beyond words , if you can meet him then only you can feel that your life is successful.
Kamal Gajera I don't think so. If you were on the path of bramhacharya and spirituality then you would have understood what he means. By watching one or two video only comment like you did is very much like an ignorant person.
Kamal Gajera See if you say islam is only imandar and other religion and culture beiman then you are just trying to change the subject and you barely want a quarrel between islam and other religion. I think it is better to retain the diversity of india having difference in people , caste and crade. Don't you?
Kamal Gajera He is not enjoying fame and all the nonsense of the world. He is a monk. He has left all the attachments. If you are a devotee of lord krishna then be it. If you are a devotee of lord shiva be it. But if you talk like my god is better than yours then it is just foolishness. Every religion is different but the fact is all lead to the supreme, the god. Whether he is krishna or shiva or jesus or anyone it doesn't matter. You should choose whom should you follow. That's it.
Simply excellent and Fantastic. Swamiji is simply fantastic in explaining various concepts very clearly. Many many pranams to Swamiji. Many many thanks for uploading this video.
Most applicable answer swami ji .You are a true guide and most appealing, i think this interpretation works universally if understood in the same spirit as explained. My salutations!!!!
When people of the world able to know this formula for peaceful it is then and there peace will prevail And will have to change consciousness in to Lords consciousness both individually and collectively
7:01 😂👌👌👌... Amazing! But by duties, the individual development of people has not been considered because the society was different in those days. We must not stop by just following rules blindly. We must always look at what actually develops us, spend time to reflect upon that instead of blaming the "fast paced life of today". It is not too fast for the mind which is peaceful and willing to work towards development❤❤🔥... Whether or not it takes us towards God is Key to this assessment.💯💯💯
Lord Krishna says inthe Bhagawad gita that He is the factual enjoyer of all activities of the living entities that He is the Supreme of all this Universe and well wishing friend of all beings
I just lost my job due to my company losing a contract that I was working on, and previous to that losing another contract that I previously worked on. I'm thinking about svadharma. I am not interested in the type of work I've been doing mostly over the years. I've understood the concept of svadharma for a long time. I get that we must follow our own dharma instead of others'. Other than being a vedantin for the past decade plus and returning to the country I live in, I don't have an idea about what my dharma is. I just can't seem to figure it out. I wish I could. So, I've gone Godward to spiritual realization, but as a Jiva I still need to have an occupation. I just don't know what that would be.
I think upholding the dharma is the highest duty of any human being. The way our spiritual masters have disassociated themselves from the general public discourse and shunned their responsibility of upholding the moral order is discreditable and unworthy of masters. It is disconcerting that more and more gurus are engaged in raising the consciousness of the west when our own country is reeling under the weight of superstition, ignorance, religious fanaticism, violence and hate-mongering. While the gurus have limited themselves to their monasteries and the socially and economically privileged, it has given the political class to occupy the vacuum and spread all kind of lies about religion. So many injustices are carried out every day in the name of Hinduism and yet the all the swamis in all their ashrams choose to adopt a convenient silence. They never speak up against all the heinous acts done by or sponsored by the people holding powerful positions. Is this upholding dharma? Does spiritualism sanctions nonchalance?
But our constitution has re-defined the word Dharma as something that has to be shunned....and we proudly proclaim ourselves to be dharam- nirapeksh, so actually the monks have not dissociated themselves willingly....but the makers of the constitution of India have dissociated themselves from the true knowers of Dharma
@@Reach2Sanno the goal is the problem because you always trying to reach it while you don't even know what is it. During the time you are searching, you are living like me a charvaka eating and procreating.
Incorrect assumptions- many of us are very clear what the goal is though we may not have yet achieved it . There are great gurus to illuminate a seeker what the goal should be ! And no, many of us don’t feel compelled to procreate at all nor to eat indiscriminately. So yes, to be charvaka is just a choice some subscribe to while others don’t .
@@mohanlalrampersad490 succinctly put it is to be broad, expansive and free . To work towards realizing our purpose of a human birth is different from mere animals that eat, sleep procreate - we undertake self-realization as a goal to free ourselves ultimately from this illusion that we begin and end with the body . What survives the death of the body is the question to investigate. Namaste
One way to look at the different deities of the Hindu system is to understand their symbolic meaning with respect to our spiritual journey through life. Vishnu, of whom Krishna is an avatar, represents the supreme goal of life; realizing the supreme divinity of the self. Shiva represents the process of sadhana or the inner technology. This includes meditations, yoga, worship, nishkama karma (unattached service), truthfulness, etc. Shiva is referred to as the adiyogi. The first and eternal yogi. He is the giver of yoga, which simply means union. That is, union with God. The human body and the mind are the magnificent tools that are used to go through this process. Then again a process or technology itself is inert if it is not powered by the necessary fuel or energy. Durga or the divine Mother represents this divine energy.
That's the initial level. Normally many people do not have the maturity to accept truth "Tatvam Asi" - "I am that" in the beginning! It needs good amount of knowledge and life experience to understand and live like that. The role of Krishna, Sashashiva and other Gods is to take you to that realisation, slowly and steadily. Why not a single God then? Well, people are different. They born with different qualities and different mindsets. In order to make the process easy, interesting and sustainable, different Gods are created and standardized. It is like one child is close to his/her Mother and another close to Father. If you look at closely, how many ever Gods/ related paths available in Hindu way of life, the fundamentals like Karma, Pava, Punniya, cycle of birth & death, liberation from it are common among them - and that is more important than the God! The concept of multiple Gods in Hinduism is like a ladder. It is not the Goal. You cannot live in the ladder. You've to use it and reach the top. Hope this clarifies.
Great teachings... Humans are forget ful ....so we need to listen such teachings everyday in the morning ....if possible ... government / school s should teach those ..in every schools....offices..and publicly in India.
