This plot was likely rustled from the 1943 Bugs Bunny cartoon Super Rabbit where Bugs, having acquired superpowers from supercharged carrots heads to Texas to stop Cottontail Smith from ridding Texas of rabbits. Of course Crusader seems to prefer cream puffs to carrots.
Still trying to find the Crusader Rabbit hour-long cartoons from the early 1960s. Some of the episode names were: If Anyone Can Yukon Sahara You Nothing Atoll Gone With the Wind-up Schmerwood Forest Gullibles Travels And there were a few others that I can't remember.
