The Coldplunge phenomenon has taken the internet by storm with many celebrities endorsing it. The claims associated with cold plunging include reducing inflammation, boosting the immune system, weight loss, and even stimulating hair growth.
To understand the appeal and unravel the claims, Adam Carolla, a comedian, actor, and host of the popular podcast, The Adam Carolla Show, was invited to discuss the topic. The discussion covered various topics, including the National Center for Cold Water Safety's opinion on the cold plunge, extreme therapeutics like dosing turpentine, dopamine fasting, and organized intimacy, the origins of the term "Snake Oil," and the cold plunge replacing deodorant and showers. Adam also shared his theories on intermittent fasting, the miraculous genesis of kale and tilapia, his thoughts on the current state of podcasting, and the secret that freed Jason from his Broadway panic attacks. Additionally, the discussion covered the two most amazing podcasting moments in Adam's career, turkey vs. egg salad sandwiches & formulating buffet strategies, and Seinfeld's outrageous craft services table.

I read Adam Corolla’s autobiography and it inspired me so much. I was shot out of a canon from a broken home, poor, and not able to finish college. I went from working dead end jobs and at 28, I decide I was going to start going after what I really wanted. I eventually ended up in TV. Obviously, I haven’t “made” it, because the economy and inflation has made my salary shit, but for awhile, I felt like I made it.

I think if I understand what Adam is saying, he does the hard things because it's almost small exercises for doing the hard meaningful things. It prepares you to face the necessary difficult things that you need to do to be successful in various areas of life.

So glad that another podcast asked Ace to re-tell the story of his journey from construction site, to comedy. Haven't heard that story in a while, Ace. Thanks.🙃

I was trying to figure out who Peter Tilden reminded me of as he was sitting there next to Jason, and it struck me that he looks a bit like Tom Pepper; the guy who played the weirdo picked to play Kramer on "The Pilot" episode of Seinfeld.
I keep waiting for him to pull out a box of raisins, or threaten to kill Jason.

I never saw any anxiety in Jason on Seinfeld, especially when he told the Whale story and pulled out that golf ball at the end.

Adam knew shit about podcasting when he started. He wasn’t even considering going into it. “I want to thank my buddy Donny for setting this experiment up,” he says in the first podcast. Later, he is quoted as saying, “I’d never really heard of podcasting. Donny forced it upon me.” Adam Carolla
