Caleb, i am extremely disappointed in you for missing the stunningly obvious pack 2 pick one of empty the warrens. I am unsubbing and revoking your hand privileges. like, your hands on your wrists. smh
To be honest, I think the best part of watching him draft vintage cube is hearing him laugh at Goldspan Dragon's chub. And that's saying something, because he makes great vintage cube videos.
Opponent acting like the Deranged Hermit dying is the end of the world is amazing. You had an overwhelming board state regardless of what they drew there.
Maybe this is an idiotic comment, but today a horrible thing happened to my family. I found myself browsing youtube mindlessly to distract me from the thoughts, stumbled across your video and found out your cheerful tone really helped me to cope with the dark. Keep up the good work, your content is very much appreciated - as always
I think this was just a time where another color besides white was open to be honest. I've had lots of decks with this many playables in red/white and blue/white that trophied just as easily.
Haha I'm not sure how much there would be to learn exactly, this deck pretty much drafted itself :) It would be a good example of what the benefits of being in the open lane would be, I suppose
@@CalebGannon well, one could learn to craft a deck when all your picks could be in your main deck. I'd probably be the dumb guy who runs yawgmoth and Goldspan in main...
Ragequitting opponents are a delight. Thanks for the upload Doc! I got my covid jab today and I just gotta relax around doing nothing. Watching this will help me kill time
I just downloaded the trilogy to my kindle :) Will update after I finish it (I'm reading it amongst 6 other books so it might take a bit. I like to mix up my fiction and nonfiction)
I gave this one a like before I even watched it, just based on the title. I was not disappointed. I lost my shit when you were contemplating brining in Avalanche Riders just to piss your opponent off. Love it. This is definitely one of my favorites of all your cube videos. 😂
The thing I love most about your videos is how positive and upbeat you are :D I know the title and thumbnail will get you clicks but they're the antithesis of why I love your channel. Also, hoping for more PD in the future. Your vids got me to sign up and get playing the PD leagues!
"like avalanche riders against their really shaky mana?its a good option? it would also make them the most mad, which is a good option too..." i love you caleb. XD
lol that guy drafted an abysmal pile of a deck with terrible mana, ended up in the finals you don't know how, and even shows salt after rightfully losing
other players when they see goldspan dragon: A nice flying beater, can really close out games. good in counterburn because upon casting you can still leave up mana. always gives good value even under removal- solid card, I'll take it. Caleb: Chonky!! I'll take it.
I've found it's sometimes harder to make a deck when you're so open that literally every card is in your colors than when you're scrounging for solutions. There's too many good options... but it's a nice problem to have lol You got everything except perfect fixing.
I know it is heresy and totally wrong, but if this were me, the sheer temptation to just throw basically every card in and make like a 60 card singleton deck of wall-to-wall awesome would be SO damn real! 😅😂
When I have tough cuts to make in draft, especially 5 or more, I take everything out then build the deck over from scratch. I find it is easier to not put something in than take it out.
Seems unfair that you get to construct your deck complete with sideboard while everyone else is working their butt off drafting the same three colors against each other . . .
I rarely comment on videos but this? ...this is so good, not only deck is kick ass but also the last player really deserved them Radkos beets ;) Kudos to you Caleb!
I’m pretty sure Caleb just said Eidolon of the Revel is card advantage because it kills your opponent, therefore giving them fewer cards to cast. These are the fresh takes I’m here for
Just watching the draft segment, this was insane! Every card was awesome for your deck and you definitely a more accomplished drafter because I would have likely made a 60 card monstrosity out of this.
It seems to me that salty opponents who complain about an opponent 'drawing too well' generally do not understand how to build a deck. Like, you are suprised a black/red deck has removal? How do you build your black/red decks?
in general, the salty players seem to be just not that good at the game and not self aware enough to realize their losses are their own doing. It's a pretty tough situation to break out of

I don't get the joke, empty isn't good or particularly funny there?
@@CalebGannon yes
Wanting to side in avalanche riders cause "it will make them the most mad" fucking killed me.
Great content dude. Proud of you.
I fucking laughed out loud at work when i heard that.
I'm a simple hominid. I see salt, I lick.
Clever
I just got hearted by CG pardon me while I die happy

Is that Caleb “my whole deck is gas” Gannon back at it again?
Me reading the title: "Yeah, sure, unbeatable..."
Me watching the picks: "Bloody hell this deck is unbeatable!"
Opponent acting like the Deranged Hermit dying is the end of the world is amazing. You had an overwhelming board state regardless of what they drew there.
That was my favorite part too. Like the abrade basically did nothing that I couldn't have handled another way
"I love smashing"

Sorry to hear that, Feel better. Dr. Ganons videos are great for coping.
Hope things improve for you, you've found a great place to chill out 😊
This might be one of the most synergistic and stacked drafts youve done in a while, we have come a long way from drafting white because its open
I think this was just a time where another color besides white was open to be honest. I've had lots of decks with this many playables in red/white and blue/white that trophied just as easily.
Classic strat of drafting Chunkyboi then not playing him so you can keep him safe
You have to keep safe the ones you love the most
I wanna hug the big ol’ fella.
"I love smashing but i've gotta cast my spells!"- Caleb 7:03
Words to live by
This guy probably plays a wizard in DnD
Glad you reported the last opponent, not everyone's going to have a positive attitude getting yelled at.
Got off early on a Friday, got me a philly cheese steak ... and the dr. Is in the office. LETS GET IT.
Would you consider adding the date of recording to your videos? I usually am curious lol
Yeah that's probably a good thing. This was from march 12th (you can see from the leaderboard at the end).
@@CalebGannon ty caleb, appreciate it :) I'll be sure to keep that in mind as well
This could be used as course material for drafting the open lane

Good on you for reporting them, language like that doesn't belong in any space.
"How could you have an out?!"
- Opponent who just topdecked their one out
man, i wish these salty opponents knew how wholesome your content is.
"What kind of pipsqueak drafts Dark Confidant into two 5 mana dragons?"
...The trophy-winning kind, it looks like.
Well done! And let the salt flow X)
I’d say 3 or so 5-mana cards works with Dark Confidant.
5:30 "Then Glorybringer comes from the deck dodedaloo" ... Quotes like that make this channel next level content.
Everything about this was beautiful... From "I love smashing" to "Avalanche Riders would make them the most salty"

I lost my shit when you were contemplating brining in Avalanche Riders just to piss your opponent off. Love it. This is definitely one of my favorites of all your cube videos. 😂
I know that it must be a MTGO hotkey for something, but I still grin whenever I see Caleb type qq to salty opponents.
q is how you zoom in on cards. I basically hold it the entire video

Not saying it would’ve been a GOOD idea, but I think you might’ve been able to game1 monored and game2 monoblack
I am glad that one of the things you thought about when sideboarding was if the card would make the opponent mad
How do you get salty when you draft 3 colours and try to splash double colour costing cards in a deck where you show no fixing???
"like avalanche riders against their really shaky mana?its a good option? it would also make them the most mad, which is a good option too..." i love you caleb. XD
So glad you beat the salty guy! There is justice
Pretty sure the only other people in your pod that were in your colors were drafting Storm.
Someone was indeed screaming "Caleb you have skullclamp!!" and it was me. I am that person. Thank you for not making my head explode! :)
lol that guy drafted an abysmal pile of a deck with terrible mana, ended up in the finals you don't know how, and even shows salt after rightfully losing
This draft was so great to watch probably the most perfect draft I’ve seen in a long time!!! Thank you for the content!
It's nice to see a RB deck really pop off! You don't get to see that very often. Nice of Caleb to see the possibility in the draft.
Salt - the white gold.
you know its gonna be good when the video is 42 mins with a mox as the thumbnail
Yesssss back to real MTGO. Arena is ok but this is the real thing, being able to read all the cards in play is so much better.
Seeing tubby dragon miss the main always makes me sad, but the moral victory is such sweet justice
Good lord. Great deck. Match 3 opponent was SO lucky, hilarious he complains about your luck.
All Hail Dr. G, King of Drafts
Hahaha your laugh of pure devilish glee as you send the wink face made my day haha
So satisfying to be brought back in good old childhood black and white while our hero Caleb gives the last opponent what he deserved :D
I don't think it was possible to do less then trophy with this deck
Some might describe that as "Unbeatable" :p
I dare to say this is the best one you drafted! Great video, great content! Big fan!

"Choke and die"
I did choke. But it was from laughing at their salt.
I am currently still alive though
Great Draft Caleb keep it up!

That tu-tutuuu sound a glorybringer makes when he comes from the deck using a forced two card combo in limited ❤️
>Sees double birthing pod
>"Opponent NOOOO I'm so sorry"
So glad you beat that last chump.
I balked at Dark Confidant into 5 drops, but it ended up being glorious. Great content
You had 17 fairly playable cards in your sideboard, so you literally drafted 2 decks.
I wish you could tell him "Maybe it was the shuffler :)"
Pleas tell me your reported this opt. Good job beating that toxic person and showing it on the internet
This seems like a great time to make a primary and a secondary deck. One aggro and one more midrange controlly?
the disrespect on swiftspear... insane drafting all colors though. I'd prefer dragon over dark dwellers as well.
Caleb: *Drafts Goldspan Dragon*
