I love how happy and positive you are all the time. at 38:29 your inflection is as if you just found out you were going to win. "I think I'm actually gonna lose this game :D" - Caleb Gannon
Caleb- Thanks for posting these. I think the best part is your reactions to things. As long as you're still having fun, I'm happy to watch more of them
This format has really grown on me, I feel like you could make a great cube for this format if you made shops playable, added all the stuff like chalice, sphere of resistance, thorn of amythist, trinisphere. I don't know if there's actually a way to make white playable though, maybe the shops deck could also be white. White could be good if hullbreacher was a white card like it should be.
@@draftsatmatts1476 i meant it more as the rhetorical you, like someone at wizard's could make it, doing this format outside of mtgo sounds like a huge pain. The best way to do it would be to use one of the websites that allow custom cube drafts then rent the cards on mtgo to play the games (power is cheap on mtgo) or proxy uppaper decks, assuming they add the format to those sites at some point. I don't actually know the site names off the top of my head but i know they exist. Honestly though what I like is that I can be done a draft and 3 rounds in under an hour, since there's so many forced picks and no other places the draft portion is super quick when you're not trying to explain your picks.
Tremendously undervalued Repeal, Remand, Manamorphose, the signets, Mind Twist, and the free counters in this deck. I feel like Jace and Teferi have no business in a list like this. Other than that, fun matches
Couldnt your match 2 game 2 op have demonic tutored for snapcaster instead of whatever they did, then cast time walk? Then just kill you with 10 mentor tokens next turn?
Lotus, ancestral, twister, tinker, + 3 land is the best hand I've seen mulled. Just play lotus + ancestral and you have over 50% chance to tinker out citadel t1 before playing land. If you miss you can just twister and try again.
I don't think so. It just feels that way because it's such a sought after card, that you notice when it's not there. Also it's first picked by everyone so the only way to see it is to open it yourself, no one is going to pass it to you.
@@CalebGannon yeah but you did bolas at end of their turn, so why not wait until your turn, and instead of attacking with just the 1 goblin, attack with them all, then sac them
There is no 4-of rule in Limited. I have seen 5 Cloudskates in a Nemesis release tournament. There is also no rule against 2 of the same card in the same pack of Magic: The Gathering, and they can even be foil Mythic/non-foil Mythic in the same pack, with exceptions to certain sets. There is also no 15-card sideboard rule, meaning you can sideboard in 16 basic Lands between games 1&2 or 2&3, including basic Lands you do not have or own.
Hahaha this deck was zany and amazing. I feel like this format is a bit much, I miss the regular vintage cube videos, those are my favorite. But these are still hilarious and fun once in awhile. When else are you gonna have two Lotuses in your deck? 😂
Youst a regular aggro, tryed some mono red now but it lacks the dissruption that often wins me the game. T1 thalia can be so backbreaking that they cant compete with it. I usualy win T4-5 but if i get alot of power T3. Vortex is insane when they play time warp. Won 13games in a row before i lost the 1st game. Something i noted is that hate cards work even if you have like 2 power cards. One of the decks i went 3-0 with was realy bad but still won every game beckouse it was packed with hate. Everybody plays time warp and draw cards. The 2mana pirate that can steal instant and sorcerys from OP GY is sooo good.
Watching you spend all your Academy mana-leaving two rubies untapped-to cast Memory Jar in the last game was painful. Other than that, fun games to watch. :)
its more powerful but less balanced (missing 4xforce of will, red blasts, sphere of resistance etc for balance). 2 lotus in a 40 card deck is certainly more than 1 in a 60 card deck. Also double tinker. I wouldn't be surprised if the overall percentage of power in this deck is actually higher than in a vintage constructed list.
@@CalebGannon It seems like we have different definitions of powerful. I agree with your conclusions on concentration of power in the deck and 2 black lotuses being absurd in 40 card decks. But I think the checks and balances you mentioned would overwhelm these cube decks. This cube definitely makes me appreciate the restricted list or vintage matches would just be who drew their combo with force backup first (which it still sort of is, but with nuance)
More powerful than vintage constructed with next to none of the counterplay, lol. I gave up on counting the decks with blue, but I'm going to assume it's 20 for 20, because obviously. It feels like it would be fun to play, and maybe play against, but I just keep it in the background now. The games aren't as 100% identical and predictable as I expected at first, but it still just feels bleh. It's still just blue plus another color for a wincon like you almost ended up having with the Garruk. 15 first and second picks, and you still almost didn't have a consistent wincon until the very last pack because of all the auto-picks that you mentioned.
yeah, the format was fun for exactly one week and I am very glad it is over :P I wish this had raised some issues towards wizards about how unbalanced the vintage cube is, but probably not.
@@CalebGannon Well, the normal cube is a bit better IMO, because you are MUCH less guaranteed to hit certain cards, especially in certain colors, especially on the wheel. As far as this type of format though, I do genuinely wonder if 30 first picks would be more balanced, since it would force you to choose on those packs that had double power +/- card like Tolarian Academy.
"sorry I lied about mana drain"
The absolute madlad can't BM if he tried. We love you Caleb
Every time I see these drafts I imagine the players opening a brand new pack with vintage cards, taking two cards and then throwing the rest away lol
It's called "rich-man's-draft" for a reason :P
(That's the origin. Everyone gets a display and picks 1 card per pack)
“I don’t need a third Tinker.”
(Five games later) “my only out is tinker off the top”
I love how happy and positive you are all the time. at 38:29 your inflection is as if you just found out you were going to win.
"I think I'm actually gonna lose this game :D"

Caleb: "I could also go Emry + Memory Jar"
Everyone: ".....................EMRY JAR :D"
Why did you read my mind?
2nd lotus ...
Citadel: SITTIN UP IN MAH CHAIR NOW
Your enthusiasm is always appreciated.
This is a format where I've really enjoyed watching the ridiculousness of your drafts, but have no interest in drafting it myself.
yeah haha that seems to be how most people feel about it
Haha yup! This is why its good to subscribe to your favorite Creators:)
"I'm sitting up in my chair now"
O.O lets go
Castles
There are 2 girl that look like that
I've watched this video probably 6 times. The absurdity of this deck never gets old.
“It’s like eating at the Cheesecake Factory”
lmao
I think it's more like eating the Cheesecake Factory.
In the wise words of Nute Gunray, "This is getting out of hand, now there are 2 of them."
Caleb- Thanks for posting these. I think the best part is your reactions to things. As long as you're still having fun, I'm happy to watch more of them
hands down the most absurd draft i have ever seen
And lo the opponent was unmade, as though they had never been, and the battle was done before it began, as Richard Garfield intended, amen.
this format seems to be created for the sole purpose of making insane youtube videos
26:08 lol at cracking Memory Jar when tapped out and already having made a land drop.
And being down 3 moxen and a crypt as potential draws. It was about as greed as you can get, and the opponent had zero pressure.
I'm only two minutes in and I too am sitting up in my chair now.
IT HAS ARRIVED.
Finally!!!
I would have went full greed on the jar, too...
*thinking* "i can lotus, lotus ancestral, yawgwill... yeah ill take yawg will" about as far as i got thinking about that line too. snap pick
"They probably demonic tutored for toxic deluge" made me chuckle a little bit. I'd be very surprised if someone drafted a deluge in this format
Seriously this was one of the most amazing if not the most amazing 40 card pile ever made
you're my hero, Caleb
I'm used to a Caleb vid running double this length... Such a sick deck, short work on those opponents. Love the content :) keep it chill, man.
That’s it Caleb, no more blue for you mister!
This format has really grown on me, I feel like you could make a great cube for this format if you made shops playable, added all the stuff like chalice, sphere of resistance, thorn of amythist, trinisphere. How would you replicate this as a paper cube exactly? I also want to try it.

Wow. When limited vintage is straight up more powerful than constructed vintage. This deck is so dumb, hilarious to watch, thanks for the video
That was brutal, love it
37:18 is just Jace surrounded with his Preciouses!
Tremendously undervalued Repeal, Remand, Manamorphose, the signets, Mind Twist, and the free counters in this deck. I feel like Jace and Teferi have no business in a list like this. Other than that, fun matches
The best part of this video is hearing Caleb giggle like a schoolgirl everytime he draws 7 cards.
Love storm
Trying to make storm work in timtless
Couldnt your match 2 game 2 op have demonic tutored for snapcaster instead of whatever they did, then cast time walk? Then just kill you with 10 mentor tokens next turn?
fantastic
That was beautiful
Love the content. Question would you play Arena Cube? It would be interesting to see your take on it.
Can we all just take a moment to consider that he mulled a 7-card hand with blue mana and Ancestral Recall in it... more than once.
Lotus, ancestral, twister, tinker, + 3 land is the best hand I've seen mulled. Just play lotus + ancestral and you have over 50% chance to tinker out citadel t1 before playing land. If you miss you can just twister and try again.
Oh man. Imagine running all power - no lands in limited. This was pretty close :D
Does Black Lotus have a lower frequency in vintage cube packs compared to other cards?
I don't think so. It just feels that way because it's such a sought after card, that you notice when it's not there. Also it's first picked by everyone so the only way to see it is to open it yourself, no one is going to pass it to you.
There is no way I pass up the 3rd Tinker for the Jace.
The shot at playing a playset of a vintage-restricted card is reason enough to pick the tinker =D
Two lotus?!
Sweet deck!
Prowess only triggers off of non-creature spells. It was really funny when you finally realized it. Could hear the releaf in your voice.
I'm gonnna miss this format. Hope they bring it back. I was enjoying being a filthy degenerate XD when my packs were being good to me that I opened.
What a fucking incredible deck! Way too op.
At 32:00, op should have just DT'd for snapcaster to flashback time walk.
I was getting really bored of these, but this was a fantastic video! What a beater of a deck lol magic as Garfield intended
That was a glorious deck. A good send-off to supreme draft, too, if you choose to end the series here
42:00 single image says a lot about the format
With that many moxen and lotus' you should value mind twist higher. T1 on the play being able to land mox, crypt lotus twist is really backbreaking.
When being as "stupid" as possible is genius... fun format! 4:58
Vintage supreme draft, the only format where it’s reasonable to just casually have 2 black lotuses.
very first turn, why didnt you just attack with the goblins first and then sac them?
they don't have haste
@@CalebGannon yeah but you did bolas at end of their turn, so why not wait until your turn, and instead of attacking with just the 1 goblin, attack with them all, then sac them
they stole my citadel with dack fayden
@@CalebGannon ah I missed that somehow, thanks, sorry I wasted your time, enjoying these draft videos very much
hey no problem, this is a super complicated format! I miss stuff all the time too :)
9 pieces of power by pack 12 already holy hell
Edit: 24:25 not casting Chrome Mox for the BM Tendrils ayy
YES!
good sequencing and mulliganing, even with the OP deck
wait can you have more than 4 of a card in your deck?

I really enjoyed this content. Do you ever miss vintage cube?
When vintage cube seemed too fair
Tinker, timetwister, lotus, ancestral
Hand not good enough I'm gonna mulligan
What a format
I have only drafted aggro, often boros with a blue splash sometimes im on 3 trophys so far. 9-0 feels like almost every deck cant handle aggro haha.
Wow I'm actually surprised! Do you draft a lot of disruption? How many turns to get the kill?
Youst a regular aggro, tryed some mono red now but it lacks the dissruption that often wins me the game. T1 thalia can be so backbreaking that they cant compete with it. I usualy win T4-5 but if i get alot of power T3. Vortex is insane when they play time warp.

Cracking that jar was so effing bad..omg
in my opinion you really should have taken all of the repeals with all your fast artifact mana
Mox Diamond is probably one of the biggest trolls draws in legacy 🤣
Watching you spend all your Academy mana-leaving two rubies untapped-to cast Memory Jar in the last game was painful. Other than that, fun games to watch. :)
Wait, Vintage Cube isn't singleton?
It sure isn’t. At least not when it’s supreme draft.
Not sure it's more powerful than constructed vintage. You'd be running into a lot of FoW, FoN, etc.
yeah but you have multiple copies of power which has like, never been legal in a an actual sanctioned format until now
its more powerful but less balanced (missing 4xforce of will, red blasts, sphere of resistance etc for balance). 2 lotus in a 40 card deck is certainly more than 1 in a 60 card deck. "part of me wants us to let this resolve, but remanding it seems like a pretty good value"
...yeah winning seems like a good value to me lol
20:16 way too cocky. That hand was great
That was disgusting!
I like it!
This is so incredibly disgusting.
I love it
Because there are so many auto picks it might be cool to do a draft by only picking the 3rd and 4th picks? also could just be a bad deck :,)

what is this cube? the hell?

thye need add pyroblast or mental misstep maybe in the format bruh xd
Gas
Wouldn't have lost a game if you had 2 Mana Tithes
For me it seems like this format is always everyone trying to draft the best version of the same deck
Glad you're enjoying it, but it isnt for me
This cube will make all future videos worse. It will be difficult to go back. Normal draft will feel less interesting.
I don't think so. Power is novel but you don't see everyone playing vintage constructed for example, even though online its often cheaper than modern
I think you play worse when you've got all that power. I think you get excited, and try to do play for turn 1 kills when patience would pay off
Relatable experience of having a PhD, but not being able to spell
.... like. .... like ..... like
you said "Like" about 30 times in first 15 seconds of the video
I think most of these decks are fine playing 2 mox diamonds, 3 is when it gets sus
busted. =P this deck is very busted. much fun watching it
Oh look... it's the same deck... that everyone in this format always drafts...
I support you in your mem jar activation. You don't play that format for mediocrity.
what the fuck
What the fuck is this draft?
