I kind of feel bad for gunn and i understood why grace randolph's scoop said nobody in the industry wanted to run DC studios if i remember correclty, they're just comic book movies but people treat them as some sort of religion even zack snyder said that his family received "dark threats" because of the direction he took for DC.
People have been like that even when Christopher Reeve was first cast as Superman. Donner recalled a death threat from memory: _"They threatened my life. One woman wrote a letter saying how dare I compare Brando to God and Christopher Reeve to Jesus. She said my blood would run in the streets. I guess you make a good movie, somebody takes it as a reality."_
Grace Randolf is not a reliable source. I remember her saying WB will be sold on 2023. Then moved to 2024. Then moved to April 2024. Then what now?? Still nothing

If you’re not a fan of a specific someone simply don’t waste your time and energy on that specific person like why you digging up on dirt I strongly agree with you our movie news yes it was Disrespectful and Distasteful what Gunn had said but yeah it was 12 years ago and who knows maybe they talk about it personally and forgave each other but let’s say even if they haven’t forgave each other who cares because they don’t have to be best friends outside of business as long they know how to work with each other business wise that what really matters.

You do realize that Gunn was a MIDDLE-AGED man when he made those tweets years ago. It's not like he was some 18-20 year old kid who didn't know better. He was in his 40s, a grown adult, which makes the situation even weirder and disturbing.

12 years ago, I was in MIDDLE SCHOOL, sixth grade at that. And I said a lot of wild things that wouldn't fly today. It drives me up a wall anytime people make a big deal about social media posts from AGES AGO.

I'll echo what you said towards the end: haven't seen My Adventures with Superman yet- just haven't found the time- but heard many good things about it. Glad to know that, in addition to Tyler Hoechlin on Superman and Lois, there's another well-received TV take on Superman.
Maybe they became friends in the last 12 years and unlike some with other franchises. Gunn has moved on from the botched ending of Lost.

Well, to be fair, Damon Lindelof did write _Prometheus_ and went on record to say he wanted to intentionally subvert people's expectations about it. Hence, why we didn't see much related to the Xenomorphs in that film.
I think Gunn is a narcissistic loser as a person. But I want him to do a good job at the studio.

The Superman cartoon for me is a bit of a mix bag. I want to see some action and fights like in the 90s animated series but this Superman isn’t that. This version is far closer to the Superman from Lois and Clark where in he’s always holding back and goes to defuse a situation rather than escalate it. The characters are overall fun though and it’s fun to see a show give us the Clark, Lois, and jimmy trio again.
Not a Lindelof fan, so his involvement scares me for the show. And Tom King is hit or miss. But hopefully the show is really good.
Gunn was always a controversial figure and will always carry some of his past comments and ways of “who he is” with him. He isn’t Kevin Feige and because of that he may end up with doing a really amazing job and he always at end up with a couple flops. The hope is that with Safron along side of him his past ways of being controversial will become less and less as the years go by. This is who we have now at DC, deal with it and get on board or just step aside and watch from the sidelines. People succeeding in bringing him down and have him replaced would only set the DC cinematic universe back another 5 years in development
While Gunn’s comments there definitely shouldn’t have been said, at least like that, people going through 12 years of tweets just to find something on Gunn to hate him just tells me some of these haters really don’t have a life at all

How do we know it was fans that dug up the past? Even if it's true, folks would do the same thing if it was Snyder that hired a writer. This is the internet. No matter if it was a fan or not, folks like to dig stuff up on just anyone for clickbait or whatever else the reason. Unfortunately, this is the online status quo nowadays.

That’s not entirely true past recent movies like Black Widow, Shang Chi, Dr Strange 2, No way Home, Gotg vol 3, Jurrasic World Dominion, Scream 5&6, John wick 4, Evil dead Rise, Insidious : The Red door, Saw X, Godzilla Minus one, The Batman, Thor : Love and thunder, Halloween (Blumhouse) & Avatar 2 - Are all movie that apart of a franchise that did all successfully also recent movies are Godzilla X Kong, Kung fu panda 4 & Kingdom of the planet of the apes also soon to be Deadpool & Wolverine.
Everyone is very excited for Gunn's DCU and Superman is one of the most anticipated superhero movies of 2025. Real DC fans are winning.

I don't know, this is very similar in context to James Gunn's comments on Burton's Batman films. His opinion is fine, but there is merit to DC fans being concerned over his opinions and him now being in charge of DC Studios. At the end of the day, Gunn at the youngest, would have been 42 when he made those comments. Even at 42 his argument was pretty juvenile. The chances of him, or anyone, at his age, growing to like a film (that has been out for decades) they disdain is highly unlikely. It doesn't hold the same weight as, "I didn't like it when I was younger, but I love it now as I am older and understand more about themes and/or life." People's opinions aside, what did Gunn do to the Burtonverse in the Flash? He killed off Keaton's Batman and killed off everyone on that Earth. He could have left the original ending in, or even just cut the mid/end credits and it wouldn't have changed a thing. The DCEU films post Snyderverse DCEU films are also riddled with teases, open ended endings and unanswered questions. It wouldn't have changed a thing in regards to his DCU. But no, he called for reshoots and killed off a lot fan's Earth, which he hated. Sure, the situation could be different with Lindelof, but those are some strong comments about someone else in his industry.
