      It's kind of funny that the two guys with a combined IQ of 360 - i.e both of them beat Einstein by approx. 20 - could not solve a problem, but a random Russian physicist could.

      Also forget "politeness", in those instances Howard and Raj buzzed in first so they'd get to answer, just like Sheldon gets to answer if he buzzes in first. That's the point of each person having their own buzzer

    Yeah, I can relate. My teacher had a trick of doing snap quizzes, not for grades just to keep us on our feet.
    Went to go into class, and he pulled me aside
    "Don't answer every question."
    "OK, why not?"
    "Cause it makes you look like a know it all ahole"
    Best lesson he ever taught me. 😊

    No one would want Sheldon on their team. He’s just an obnoxious entitled brat who thinks that he’s better than everybody else. Howard, Raj and Leonard did the right thing

      While that may be true the physics bowl is literally about which team is better at being a "know it all". Intelligence isn't very dependent on the sheer number of things you can memorize and recollect.

      @@wuttut3276 One thing to be competitive and wanting to win, it's another not being a team player which Sheldon definitely wasn't. He was more concerned about proving he was smarter than everyone else including his teammates.

    Sheldon really misses his own point;
    “…if I know them, why shouldn’t I give them?”
    If someone on your team buzzes in, it’s because THAT PERSON has the correct answer.
    Hell, Penny herself calls the person who buzzed in by their name, so Sheldon, should understand, he’s not allowed to speak until HE buzzes in next time.
    Hell, the real question is, why doesn’t he buzz in first if he’s a KNOW IT ALL?

    Back when the show and characters actually held Sheldon accountable and didn’t let him get away with everything.
    This never would’ve happened in the later seasons

      Thank you! Like the time when he reacted to Amy's change disrespectfully, honestly, I hated that I don't even remember him apologising to her after he said that
      he became more and more like a Caillou later on omg there were times when I wanted to punch the TV screen because of him, especially during the final episode it was the worst I really hated how they brought his development there
      He had very little development when compared to the rest of the cast despite being the main character

    Sheldon's behaviour and conduct meant that at some point I could no longer watch several episodes in a row. The principle of the series requires an enormous amount of "suspension of disbelief": You had to believe that a group of adult friends would not only tolerate such a toxic person around them, but even accept him as part of their circle of friends permanently. I found it increasingly difficult to accept that as a premise as the series progressed. It's clear to me that the writers weren’t allowed to gradually "normalize" Sheldon for creative and monetary reasons. But especially in view of Howard's character development, at some point I found Sheldon's permanently antisocial behavior no longer funny, but just boring and annoying.

    You know, if I was in that situation and I knew the answers, I would tell everyone to let Sheldon hit the buzzer so that I or anyone else could answer the question for him like he was doing. He would likely throw a fit, but what else can he do, he can’t argue that it’s “teamwork” as he put it.

    Even I can let others answer questions that I know the answers to, and my personality is the most similar to Sheldon's to an extent of the main characters.

    Sheldon is complex in his person. In early seasons he would kill to get what he wanted and not bat an eye. He believed himself so superior to everyone that he saw them as nothing but tools for him to use to further his own goals. Yet in the later seasons he got milder in his insanity. (Yes i know his mother had him tested dont point that out)

      @@flaboosh55 OK, after some searches, it seems in 1923, some Chemist association in the US started using "Aluminum" and that it is technically correct with both spellings now. I'm in Canada, I'm almost 50 y.o., and I've always called it aluminium. It's actually a cool word when you're learning to speak, almost like a tongue twister.
      Also, Aluminum makes no sense in French, it is always aluminium. Must be one of those hard to pronouce word for English only speakers, like Wednesday or Colonel.

    It wasn’t just “my character grew up”, it was also, “they wanted to turn my character into a bitch later on, and so they did, and even gave her plain and Amy looking clothes”.

    The only thing I have a problem with is Sheldon should not be able to form his own team. In the beginning of his episode they learn that one of the teams for the physics bowl had dropped out so ONE spot had opened up. If Leonard, Howard, Raj and Sheldon filled that open spot when Sheldon got kicked off the team there would not be any spots open for him to form his own team.

    While Sheldon brought it on himself, what’s important to remember is that in the beginning of the episode, Sheldon didn’t want any part of being on the team and competing in the Physics Bowl so as much as Leonard, Howard and Raj blamed him, it was just as much their fault and more so for making him be on the team and compete instead of leaving him out of it like he wanted.
