I miss you so much Winter and PJ!!!! ❤️🐬😔 I got to feed Winter back in October 2015 and have an encounter with Hope! The dolphin encounter is my favorite thing to do, and I love standing at the top of the new dolphin complex and listening to them vocalize!
Thankyou for making this and telling more people about this amazing place!! Even though Winter passed away, CMA is still a really good and fun place. They take very good care of their animals. And if possible rescue, rehab, and release. It is a very good place to support and I recommend going. My favorite spot is also the underwater viewing. It’s really cool to watch them. I definitely recommend it!! It’s so fun!!
It is one of my favorite aquariums... mostly because they do so much good in the area by rescuing so many marine animals. Best thing to do is to watch the movie Dolphin Tale and then go and visit! :)
Watching this after Winter died hurts so much... This is amazing. Thank you for spreading the knowledge of CMA, and for those who are reading this comment after Winter died, it's still an amazing place where you can see the other dolphins. My favorites are Hope and Nicholas, I think it's still worth it to go there!
Hi Cider YT! Thank you so much for watching! :) I can't tell you how much I appreciate your kind words. I agree, it is still an amazing place to visit. I look forward going back to visit Hope and Nicholas! 💙
It is such a difference! The last time I went, it was back in 2013...and I didn't even recognize it. I was telling Noah.. there used to be a parking lot in the front you could park at... but now, they have this HUGE parking garage in the back. I'm happy for them. With all the wonderful work they do in the area with rescuing, I'm glad to see they are seeing so much success!
Winter actually lived longer then average life expectancy for a bottle nosed dolphin in captivity. So, in way she was a grandmother in dolphin terms, even though she never had a calf of her own.
❤️ I LOVED this place years ago. I'm glad to see they've been able to upgrade a bit. I would think the government of Florida and Clearwater specifically, would shell out money from their vast vault of tourist dollars and offer them whatever they need to continue their work to heal the injured and to educate the public on their kind and loving work to help ALL creatures continue to live their best life ❤️
I had a strange feeling about what was happening with with my favorite dolphin winter. I I hopped on the Clearwater marine aquarium to see if she was OK. But then when I did the Clearwater marine aquarium UA-cam there was some really sad news to listen to. They said she had passed away do to complications my heart felt like a heavy brick I was a complete mess. So that's when my brother surprised our mom and me with Clearwater marine aquarium. I was so overwhelmed with our trip in May of this year. It was 6 mo to late. But I had such a blast my family was so happy for me they still had fun as well
I was very heartbroken as well when I heard the news. Winter truly touched the lives of so many people, including myself. I'm glad that you were able to go regardless! It is such a great place!
Awww... I'm so glad that you got a chance to see her. I was really sad to hear about her passing as well. I'm glad I got a little pin of her for my travel bag while I was there.
Thank you Chrissa. Their was a review saying the CMA was underwhelming and their wasn’t a lot to do and the food was not too good. What is your take on this?
Hi Amy! I think it’s all about expectations. CMA is a non-profit aquarium that focuses on rescue rehab and release, and they are opened to the public to help fund that mission. The animals that live at CMA are animals that have been deemed not fit for release and would not survive on their own. So, they spend their lives at CMA. But a lot of the animals do get released back home. The experience at CMA is more educational versus entertainment, so it’s a completely different experience to going to a theme park. I can see how someone may be disappointed if they’re expecting something more entertaining - but that’s not the point of CMA. While you’re there you get to learn about the animals and hear their stories of how they got there…and their personality. Their “show” is more about the essential things they teach the animals in order to care for them. I definitely wouldn’t call it underwhelming….I would say it’s more inspiring. I think the cafe there is more essential than anything else and just meant for people to grab a bite while they’re there. It looked like a typical quick servie restaurant that you would find elsewhere. But I didn’t get a chance to try the food, so I can’t speak to the quality. I hope this helps! ☺️
@@ChrissaTravels I didn't get a meal when I went at the beginning of November 2022, but I did have little pretzel bites you dip in cheese and those were delicious! I wasn't super hungry but I ended up finishing them! I feel like nothing is over priced and $15 for a behind-the-scenes tour is definitely a steal!!!! even though Winter is sadly not with us anymore, CMA is still my home away from home and I love every minute of it! Their newest resident Izzy seems to be taking on the role of attention hog that Winter left behind! I actually went the day after she arrived and she was very vocal and active! I recently saw a video of her jumping and playing. I like the underwater viewing windows, but I am blind so someone has to tell me what's going on. Their youngest bottlenose dolphin Apollo came right up to me at the window and started doing somersaults!
Hi Jarett! I would say that it could take anywhere because 2-4 hours depending on how much time you take at each of the exhibits and if you do any of the addition add on experiences! ☺️
I am heartbroken to hear about Winter passing yesterday, November 11, 2021. She was truly an inspiration to so many, including myself.
Imtiyaaz wertytyuupasdfghkzcvbnm astrophysicist kfspadpaps and the park with a lot
she was my hero and now that she is gone life seems like I'm missing something, someone
we love you Winter may you rest in peace
She really was, but I believe she sent Apollo to make things better :)
RIP WINTER! But so glad I stumbled upon this video! Thank you!

update: now pj, hemingway, rex, and apollo are dead. but there are two new dolphins: rosie and izzy!
Looks much nicer than when we were there in 2019. They were doing a lot of updating back then.

Thank You For Sharing My Friends
Hi Firmando Pangandaran! Thank you so much for watching! :)
Youre Wellcome My Dear Friends
Just so upsetting, Winter was young. I wish I could have seen her, she helped so many.
I know, I was heartbroken to hear about her passing. She truly was an inspiration.

It’s so sad to see winter go I never went but I watched dolphin tale. R.I.P Winter
I agree. I was heartbroken when I heard of Winter's passing. She inspired so many with her story. 💙
Yeah I afree
Winter is a star. Would love to visit all of them.
Winter is such a super star! :) It is also such a wonderful aquarium, and they do so much great rescue work in the area.

Can I make a suggestion on somewhere you could go? Dolphin Research Center! It's in the Florida Keys, and it's like this but with more dolphins!
Of course! 💛 this sounds awesome! I will make sure to add it to my list! ☺️
