I’ve been searching through so many videos on how to use my 8.5 in X 11 in cardstock to make cards, so I don’t have to pay for cricuts ready to use folded card.
Your video made it so easy.
I’m having a hard time trying to figure out how to use design space ready to make cards.
Glad I could help!

Thnx
Thank you so much for the video. Iam going to try this. I'm still a little confused about what flatten does. I have never used this feature before.
Flatten keeps the photo/picture you are bringing in from becoming a cut file. I use it when I want to print in the card versus cutting what I want on the card.
@@fishstickstatertot981 Thank you. Have a blessed weekend.
I am interested in your book , conquer your Cricut. How much is it?
Hi! Could I use this for placecards??
loved the video. could not figure out how/where to get the template to download. very confusing.
Glad it was helpful! Sorry for the confusion. It's in the free SVG library here dailydoseofdiy.com/free-plans-printables/ The password is in every email I send. Hope that helps!
Chris - What great content! Thank you! I am a newbie, so I must confess, I am not sure I understand why Cut then Print leaves one image printed on the outside of the card while, on another mat, Cut then Print precisely cuts out the ice cream cone. What instruction tells Cricut not to cut out the image on the front of the card? I hope that makes sense. I will watch the video again - but I would love your input.
When we select the images and the outside of the card template and then flatten, that's what tells cricut to cut the card and not the images. If you placed a circle or a square behind the icecream cone and selected both of them and flatten the same thing would happen, it cuts the outter lines only. By not having a shape behind an image then it cuts the outter lines of the image. Hope that makes sense!

Mine cuts out the images/ words too. How do I get it so that it only prints those details and then cuts out the card?
If you have the card in design space you place the words over the card and then select the words and the card together and flatten or change to print the cut. Words and elements need to be flattened to a background or they'll cut individually. Hope that helps!
Chris…thx so much for the video…question, if my printer is not connected to my Cricut can I still make the card like you did by printing it separately? TIA
As long as your computer is attached or Bluetoothed to your printer and the computer is connected to your Cricut, it will work. From Cricut design space, when you are ready to print from the make it menu, you can select your printer then.

Interesting. I always do it in the order Cricut does it. I print, attach to mat, then do the rest of the steps. Repeat for each mat. I don’t really see an advantage in doing it the way you did; i.e. print each one and then do the other steps.
It depends on your set up. If your printer is right there with you that makes sense. I have to walk back and forth so I just do all the printing at once.
