The John Bull Trail off 3N10 behind Lake Arrowhead up at Big Bear.
At what point do they become a Land Cruiser in name only, or a Jeep in name only?
When they leave the factory.
This FJ40 has the best Landcruiser DNA. FJ55 Leaf springs, FJ62 front axle, FJ80 rear axle. It is not a mall queen, its made to roll on the trails amd it does. It goes over obstacles with ease, where most jeeps struggle. Locking hubs and rear FJ locking diff, no aftermarket ARB here. V8? Yes needs the power to roll the 40s. Its built right. I have another FJ with the F155 engine and it struggles. If it was OEM with pizza cutter tires, then it would be fine, but not the the tough trails. You'd have to drive both to fully understand.
