- Artificial intelligence continues to become more and more integrated into our daily life, most recently with the new AI chat-bot that was rolled out on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp. Over the weekend, you may have noticed the blue circle icon pop up on the search bar of your Facebook and Instagram. Whether you like it or not, the new AI chat bot is seemingly here to stay on social media.
Don't like it and we should be able to turn it off. 🤷♀️

Hate it. Guess I am going to have to close my social media accounts because this stupid thing thinks it knows what I want.. and it doesn't have a clue! Constant interruption for what I am doing. I trying helping people look for their lost pets on Facebook sites, and Meta AI tells me to search the web. If I wanted the web, wouldn't I have gone to web browser first?!? Or it is assuming people are too stupid to use search engines? I have muted and turned off everything I could find on Meta AI, and it still interrupts me! Facebook is about to really tick off a lot of their users.
It is ridiculous. I was very frustrated when this just showed up and realizing it could NOT be removed. Great if that's what you want, but things like this should not be forced on EVERYONE. It's almost enough to boycott FB but it's the one social media I use and it's where I have links to old friends from school.
It THINKS it knows what users want, but it really just gets in the way and slows things down. Suggestions? Not necessary. I know what I want to search and find out more about. I am intuitively good at researching if I need to. I don't need summaries of comment sections. It's utterly absurd, the ubiquity of AI and how they are shoving it down people's throats.
The most upsetting thing is that they are now using all your info to train ai, and only warned anyone just recently :/

@@isis3319 I don’t think anything too personal is on mine. My name is not even the one I am on UA-cam. I change my name and birthdate intentionally. If I get too know someone there and become close I reveal my name only then.

I'm having the same issue . This has been going on for a couple of days , and I can't turn it off . I'm glad it's not just me .

This AI is causing all people who do art to be upset. The amount I saw leaving Instagram... Ai art should not really even exist. Just imagine all the hard work and hours you put into a piece for it to be used as information for the ai to make art from.

This is why i never download social media apps, but log in on a browser tab, then close it. Giving them access to your contacts and photos is not smart.
I don't use the apps either. But they'd probably make it mandatory at some point in the future

The AI also uses all of people’s posts to train its AI without consent. Many, many artists are upset and are planning to leave if this isn’t fixed!
I hate it because I can't actually do a fricken search for content!!!!!! 😡 It keeps taking me into a messaging window with the AI instead of searching for content
I'm having this problem and it's aggravating . I've been trying to follow certain instructions to have it removed , but to no avail . If I want to search for something , I can't do it .
@@michellee2990 I feel your frustration and pain. Recently, instead of giving me no option to search for the content, if it takes me to the AI messaging, I click the back button on my phone, then right under the search bar, you should beable to click your search data and it will search correctly instead of going to the AI messaging. Hope this helps!

I want to be able to Delete the Facebook app from my phone altogether. I have it disabled but it is still there
The issue I have with all of this and cookies is that when I search for a product I end up being shown much of the same and not what I’m actually looking for. So if I’m looking for something unique, the unique options are filtered out and the algorithm assumes to show me more of what I initially searched for. For example, if I am looking for a specific style of shoe but one that is unique to that generic style the algorithm doesn’t quite know what I mean and assumes what I’m look for, persisting on showing me the same thing, not realising, I’m trying to search outside of that. This can make seeking products incredibly time consuming and frustrating. Also, I don’t like the idea that now what I see is being limited to what an algorithm assumes I’ll like. How will I discover new things if I’m just being shown the same as what I’ve searched for before. I feel this limits the potential to discover alternatives that I may love, subject only to an assumption of what I may like. What if what I searched for before was for someone else? So many flaws with this. I don’t want for what I see to be controlled I want and am open to discovering a wider world of things, not just what an algorithm assumes I’m going to like. Makes your world view very narrow and stifling.

I was using an older version of FB. But they made it so messages wouldn't work. So I deleted my Facebook profile and uninstalled. Couldn't take the ai.
It isn't on my facebook or Instagram.
Although not yet in Europe and UK, I noticed this circle on a friend's WhatsApp while travelling. Outrageous! Not because it's may or may not be useful mutually (to user and Meta) but because I don't get to have to a choice I want it disabled. It's literally forced down my throat. I have already left Facebook and hardly use Instagram. Looks like WhatsApp is next.
If it's going to stay I'm going to delete Facebook and someone will create a new platform.

I tried to search for something on Instagram and instead got an AI conversation. Best way to ruin a relationship is to fail to meet expectations. I expected a search result not advice on how to make the image I was searching for.

I cannot stand AI and I absolutely HATE META! It's all over my WhatsApp, it used to be a bare bones mesaaging app,.now it's forcing social means AI without our permission and you can't turn it off. I'm so sick of this I'm so close to downgrading tons dum phone

I use this meta ai and it provided some good answers to some questions i had,some questions ppl might not even answer for u,ppl need to learn how to use this tool to ir advantage and stop thinking weird shit that it can listen to u,this ppl in this video said it provides false information,ppl do that all the time
