He says his vibrato is strongly influenced by Gwen Stefani... growing up, he wanted to sound just like her, and now he's stuck with it. I like it, though!
I feel like everyone that has covered this song either changes the song too much or they don't change it at all/add their own style. Brendon is the first time I've ever seen someone cover with SLIGHT alterations for their style and it worked beautifully.
exactly my thought. I'm not a Queen fan, far from it, but I can recognize a masterpiece when I hear one, and Bohemian Rhapsody is clearly a masterpiece, so I don't the point of re-doing something already perfect as it is. But I have to say that he managed to make the song it's own, and that was quite impressive and beautiful to hear.
I think one factor that not enough people take into account is Freddie's legendary showmanship. Even if you change the song a bit and make it your own, if you bring this level of showmanship, it's a success.
Tara is the only vocal coach that does these react videos that can actually vocally mimic the artists not matter what they do. So we can understand and appreciate the technique more. Fantastic 👏🏽
He’s said in an interview a little while ago there’s times where he mimics his mum cause she’s a soprano! He’s got such a unique voice and an amazing range. You should react to his live for casual affair 😍😍😍😍 I absolutely adore him such an incredible talented man
OMG !!! Brendon Urie is my favorite male singer and his cover of Bohemian Rhapsody is a truly masterpiece ❤❤😍😍 Great choice and great reaction Tara as usual ❤
YES!!!! I've been hoping for you to react to this for a long time! Brendow is such an amazing singer. Please also react to Brendon Urie’s best live vocals, you're gonna love it!!! Cheers from Brazil
I saw him perform in OKC during this tour. The energy was phenomenal, the music amazeballs topped in awesome sauce. At one point Brandon was playing and singing on a floating piano!
I watched him live it was one of the best things in my life. He makes the show seem so personal and special he is such a good singer and character ❤️❤️
Watching him perform that in person was one of the best things to ever happen to me. He really is one of the most talented people I have ever seen and such a sweetheart.
2:48 that specific moment is priceless, omg! I’ve heard this live version so many times and that must be the most beautiful thing I’ve heard! Lovely reaction btw 😻♥️
Dimash did “Queen Medley” recently with the “super vocal boys” in the “i’m a singer”. It was really really good! Worth to react! The song choices were love of my life, we will rock you, bohemian rhapsody and we are the champions.
Please react to the new Pentatonix videos, Waving Through a Window and Shallow as well as their old videos, Aha! and Ride. Superfruit’s Defying Gravity is amazing too! Great reaction, Tara! ❤️
I’m a HUGE Queen fan and I thought this cover was amazing! Super impressive. Brendon did a great job keeping with the style of the original but also making it his own. Freddie would have just been tickled pink if he heard this cover. Thanks for reacting to it. You should react to Queen- Dreamer’s Ball Live 3/1/79. It’s not a well known Queen song but it’s an acoustic version. It’s a blues inspired song Brian May wrote. I think you’d love it.
Can you react to Lea Michelle singing "My Man" live? I've always loved the performance, but I would love to hear insight on why it's so good! Great video as always! I love all your videos 💖
I love this rendition and I’m so happy you reacted to it! I clicked on the link to the 8 week course and it sounds like it’s exactly what I’m looking for, but unfortunately I can not afford it. I hope to be able to some day! Thanks again for another great video :)
I was able to see him perform this live (sadly from the nosebleed seats), and this man can pump up the entire place, no matter how far away he is! He was literally born for the soul purpose of sharing his gift with us all, and you can tell he enjoys every moment of it! (by the way, he streams on Twitch and quite frequently breaks out into song. It's amazing.)
Please react & analyze Diana Ankudinova - Wicked Game. Unique voice. Only one in World. Only 15 years old. She will clench your soul into a fist. The only thing you can say after this: I have never heard such a voice.
If you haven't already, you should check out the video on Brendon Urie's best live vocals! Always fun to watch reactions of that and you're the best vocal coach out there!
I reacted the same way you did on those parts where you’re surprised! Honestly, when first time heard songs by PATD I thought they’d be like average bands when performing live until my classmates told me they were amazed watching them live several months ago. Now I see them differently and this definitely makes me wanna go to their concert!!! Btw, your comments are always on point!!!
I love your reactions Tara, I'm so happy whenever I see you posted a new video! It would be so amazing if you could react to Shoshana Bean and Amber Riley "Never Loved A Man" - Live at the Ace tho
wow, in this song, he definitely is channeling a bit of a Jeff Buckley tone -- his airiness and falsetto are insane --- there are not even remnants of his punk staccato musical stylings -- not how I would have pictured him singing this incredibly difficult song -- his range is so much bigger than I thought -- thanks for sharing
