Very nice rendition of this piece, when the trumpets started playing it sent shivers down my spine, but the organ also has very docile wood tones.

Beautiful. A favorite Verdi chorus. I was lucky enough to see the opera here and later this chorus conducted by Riccardo Muti with the Chicago Symphony during a concert of Italian opera masterpieces. (Years earlier my father cried when we listened to a radio broadcast of this piece. That was the first time I heard it). From Chicago, U.S.A.

Really great. I conduct this with my choir and it’s always a challenge to sync the complex score for the pianist to the group so doing this as a single performer must require tremendous concentration.
Oh just about my MOST favorite piece of music in all the literature...such pathos & lyrics & sound... It breathes the feelings...

Beautiful and melancholy! This is one of my favorite songs! I close my eyes and imagine the sad Hebrew slaves, suffering and yearning for their land, singing under the moonlit and starry sky of the Egyptian desert.

Love the trumpets! Also at 3.36 I love the way his left hand spans two manuals all at once with thumb on the Great playing the main tune. Interesting new style stop board with no draw knobs to pull out.
