What do you guys things about the threaded inserts and the exposed bolts? By the way, you can get the free plans to this bookshelf here diycreators.com/diy-rustic-bookshelf-and-storage/ and get the SketchUp model here www.patreon.com/diycreators
DIY Creators I dig threaded inserts. Use them on my projects too. I think the exposed hardware adds a good look if you do it right. Looks great on a rustic piece like this.
I actually like the threaded inserts and exposed bolts. I like that you try new things all the time and have so much knowledge and cool tricks. Blows my mind how you do things and make it look so easy. Thanks for keeping things simple and clear for all of us. You are very inspirational for us creative and like minds!!
Truly one of the best woodworking channels and making channels out there. Simple builds, with quality audio and camera work and one cool dude named Glen! Keep up the hard work brother! You are an inspiration p!
I would call myself an advanced hobby woodworker and I really love the simplicity of this look. I would give this 2 thumbs up if I could. Very well done.
GREAT limited tool build. Thanks. You've helped SO much. i have a degenerative illness. & haven't actually built since my health caused me 2 leave a completed but unpainted project when a sudden storm hit. Fall became winter& it didn't get cleaned up until the snow melted(VERY embarrassing) Because i know i now would need help setting up & putting away tools i've found your site with 1person builds, technique hacks, & less tools a God Send. I'm not back in the shop yet; but the hope & distraction- thinking of ways to simplify your builds even more... have been a therapy better than any other. I've watched & commented on DIY channels for years now, never sharing my situation. But i woke my computer to ask Alexa to order me a Furrino shelf- it has a style like this & tool free assembly. instead i got alerted to this build, watched, printed plans from website & think this may be the one; the build that i ask for help &(mabe with pocket holes instead of dowels) i try. Thanks Again/ Lisa
Nice and I plan on making this one or something like it. My wife came to me and asked for me to make a book case today so I started looking for ideas and different designs. Thanks man.
Отличная работа. Хороший дизайн. Очень понравилось использование фурнитуры в этой конструкции. Выглядит аккуратно и надёжно. Хороший пример для меня. Желаю успехов и ещё хороших идей. Спасибо за видео!

Good looking shelf unit Glen. As an option for the shells, you could also use screws and threaded inserts . Polished brass or stainless steel so the also work as accent pieces
I like that this video/ project use tools most diy hobbyist have. A video series of projects with tools that are more accessible for diy would be interesting to watch. Just a suggestion as someone with limited tools to use for projects, love the videos and inspiration to start my own projects. 3:53
Another DIY video by the greatest DIY Creators amazing craftsmanship strikes again Glen!!!! You're a good man and you're very good at what you do keep up the good work as always man and can't wait for your next video!!!💪💪💪
I have looked at several different methods of floating shelf installation here on UA-cam. I have to say I like your method the best so far. Good job! 2:21
I actually thought this looks very modern with the square frames and contrasting wood stain colours - the cappuccino stain is a good cost effective alternative for the walnut wood look!
Really nice contrast with the frame vs with shelves. I like the choice of the espresso vs paint a ton since you still get that contrast, but you keep the wood grain throughout. Something like this would be really nice to mount some lights in for a nice indoor plant shelf.
NIce, I actually was thinking about small book shelf similar to this, I wanted to use some bridle joints on the side supports and mortise and tenon for the cross brace. I want some practice on hand cut joinery. But this nearly exactly mimics what I have in my head!
Great. I would cover my Rubber Maids etc. with colorful cloths., number boxes and location, and put like with like, and use ziplock bags inside to separate things. Index card box to record box # and inventory. It gets very dusty. Great job.❤️💕💯😊🇺🇸 3:29
Do you think you could make a video explaining how you choose which lumber you use for which product and build and why? Would hello me greatly and i would appreciate it.
Great project but I’m interested in what miter saw stand you are using. What is it? How do you like it? I have a small shop and think this type of stand would work for me. 4:32
Can the cross part be left out? are the side frame structures enough to support the weight? Maybe if everything is also screwed together it would work better without the back cross? What do you think?

DIY Creators, another great vid-thank you!
I’ve never worked with threaded inserts-can you countersing the screw if you don’t want it exposed?
DIY Creators I dig threaded inserts. Use them on my projects too. I think the exposed hardware adds a good look if you do it right. Looks great on a rustic piece like this.
That is a very nice look. It's not something I'd do myself but once I put something somewhere, I'm unlikely to move it.

Я посмотрел на купленную в магазине полку в этом Хорошем дизайне. Но мне очень нравится эта сборка намного лучше

Beautiful work as usual. I think it is fine as is, the stain booboo gives it character. Love the insert knockdown idea.
Thank you, yep you make a point.
