Having a look inside a Synrad J48-2S RF excited CO2 laser. Needed a bit of cleaning but otherwise in perfect condition. Power supply and RF boards look in perfect condition.
Love to see the synrad lasers. I built the exact tubes for the sister company called Luxar in 1997-98-99. dont mess with the RF coils on the ends of the tubes they are precisely tuned and set. also dont adjust,fiddle or think about manipulating the three hex screws on the ends as they are the Hr and OC adjusters. they also are what holds the gas mix inside and that tube is sealed with only a rubber gasket underneath the mirror cells. =) Good luck & be safe. =)
Hello, I know this was a very long time ago, but I just got my hands on a 25W synrad laser (for free!!!) And as well as the control and power connectors on the end of the module away from the end where the light comes out, there is a pair of black and grey wires entering the module near the output end. Do you happen to know what these wires are? Thanks.
