Fiddle leaf fig propagation - from rooting to planting to branching!
Here is a step by step tutorial on how to cut a ficus lyrata for new growth.

Fiddle leaf growth tips!✂️
1. You can cut year round but regrowth and rooting is slower in the cooler months.✂️
2. You MUST let the cutting dry overnight before putting into water to prevent rot. 🌬️
3. Change the water monthly and add a fertiliser. 💦
4. Keep the cutting and mother plant in a humid spot. 🌞
5. Be patient and don't fuss over the cutting, mine finely rooted when I went away and stopped checking it. 👀
6. Wait until you have first and secondary roots before planting the prop into WET well draining soil!
The most important things to remember are to use clean and sharp shears (the kitchen scissors wont cut it) and that you let the cutting callous before you put it in water, this will stop the stem rotting!
If you want your fiddle leaf fig to branch out I recommend cutting it at an angle.
