A really strong recall. I'm going to assume she is doing this on the ground and not the table. I would go as far as putting a check cord on her and throw her a bird, as soon as she gets her mouth on it pull on the check cord and give the here command. The key is to get her to return to you immediately i wouldn't worry about whether the bird came back with her or not. This is called indirect training fixing a problem by working on a different issue.
Perfect timing for me. My little Penny retrieves good but still drops birds at my feet. these drills should put it all in place.
