I am a Parkrun Volunteer but I start feeling guilty just watching the runners. So I do a bit of both when I can. Thank You for doing a fantastic job! 👍
Always enjoy watching these videos. One constructive suggestion is to perhaps suspend them until the virus situation has improved, and people can attend parkruns again without the fear of infection. The official advice is to avoid social situations, and parkrun is the biggest and best social situation I know ;-) Hope you accept these comments in the true spirit of parkrun in which they have been made
Hi Alan - thanks for the feedback. In the event that parkruns are suspended, what videos would you like us to produce to help during the difficult times ahead?
parkrun appreciate it’ll be difficult to produce upto date content quickly, but coronavirus updates from the parkrun head office would be useful. Just 60-90 seconds of someone like Paul or the comms chief reiterating to look after ourselves and our close ones to prevent the spread of the virus. Even recording short videos “on the fly”can be a powerful way of engaging with the parkrun audience during these difficult times
@@alanalan1406 Suspect you'll already be aware, but just in case... Although not videos, these are available in text form on the parkrun website: www.parkrun.com/news/2020/03/12/covid-19/ parkrun was suspended in the vast majority of countries last weekend, and are following government advice in the few countries where they did still run. There should be news about this weekend's events by the end of tomorrow.
I absolutely love timekeeping at my local Parkrun. As said in the video working with the other timekeeper and the finish tokens person as a team.

I have asthma. I also stair climb. I keep my own pace. I regularly walk 3.5 miles.
I volunteer for one event in four, I run the other three.
