RIP Suzanne Somers. You were such a day brightener for millions and you will be truly missed. Prayers for your family and thank you all for sharing this wonderful woman with us for decades.
Amen I thought the same thing regardless of her flaws like we all have btw people can be cruel and critical for no reason at all! Suzanne is a brilliant light that will shine forever ❤ thank you for your comment!
That was truly beautifully put! She was such a happy, positive person, it was inspiring to see, especially for folks who were afflicted with incurable ailments and who sought alternative healing techniques. Her approach was holistic in both body and soul. At any rate, it's usually the people who are truly committed to helping to heal their fellow humans' physical and emotional burdens who end up leaving us much sooner than those who spread nothing but misery to everyone they know. 😞😞
You're so right! I remember as a young kid that I really didn't like her because of the character she played. Looking back now, that was just sheer talent, to make everyone believe she was an airhead, dumb blonde. But she was so beautiful inside and out, always smiling and that's contagious, also another gift!
For everyone trashing Suzanne Somers, in this clip she acknowledges her own past wrongdoings and praises Joyce for her acting skills. And Joyce DeWitt acknowledges that Ms. Somers went on to do a lot more with her life professionally than Joyce did. They both seem like honest, forthright women, and I enjoyed listening to both of them.
Joe Bob you have no clue what went wrong completely. So therefore stop putting your opinion where it was not supposed to be until you know every detail
I really thought this was a nice interview, and they both had a chance to share their take on things openly. Joyce was clearly willing to let Suzanne speak uninterrupted without judgement. Which is why it's all the more strange to me that since then, Suzanne Somers talks as if Joyce DeWitt was there to support the star hijinks of her and John Ritter and not speak of her as the equal third of the ensemble. Her dismissive attitude toward a colleague who willingly stepped up to embrace her is more than a little insincere.
Life's too short to carry animosity for 30 years. Suzanne was the one treated poorly in all this. It shows how wonderful a person she has become to invite Joyce to come and bury the hatchet. Suzanne was the only reason I tuned into Three's Company, because I was a young man and hornier than a two peckered Billy goat. Lol
This is so beautiful. I'm watching it in the wake of Suzanne's passing. RIP. These two wonderful women show such kind and vulnerable heart in this moment!
I grew up watching the sitcom 'Three's Company' faithfully every week. Suzanne Somers is one of my favorite comedians and even her off camera personality is great. Gosh, I'm so saddened by the news of her death as I began following her about two years ago on Facebook and felt her marvelous sweet spirit once again. I've a couple of her health/exercise books and her health advice is significantly helpful. Somers will surely be missed. My condolences to her family. RIP.
See I came along a little bit later. I grew up watching her in Step by Step. Step by Step and Family Matters, Hanging with Mr. Cooper. Man that was a good Friday night. She was so awesome in everything she touched, like it just turned to pure gold. She will be missed.
Joyce DeWitt: a very classy lady, authentic, sensitive towards others, intelligent, forgives easily, an amazing woman. Thank you for all the years of 3's Company.
Well, Joyce hated Suzanne and trashed her in interviews for years afterwards. And you can sense Suzanne is fully aware of everything Joyce has said over the years. This was very emotional and delicate. Clearly they stayed away from alot of stuff. But I think Suzanne's attempts to pass everything off as a women's equal pay issue is not accurate. The producers were willing to negotiate but her position that she was the JR ewing of the show and she should get the same deal as Larry Hagman or she will fake injuries to gold the show hostage was ridiculous and wrong. Suzanne should have owned up to her underhanded tactics and unreasonableness when she apologized
@@fleurmartin It seems to me in other interviews she's done, she just wanted to stay out of the spotlight and not play the Hollywood game anymore. The money she earned from the reruns gave her freedom, and she used that money to find herself.
And I'm tired of some of these comments calling this reunion fake. There was a time where Joyce wouldnt be in the same room with Ms. Sommers. But time heals. You can tell that this was genuine. I wish John Ritter was alive to be with them. RIP John
Joyce is the example of a person who truly was passionate about their craft. She genuinely didn't seek fame or fortune. She didn't join Suzanne in asking for more money (even if women certainly deserved more than they got paid), and she admits to hiding from cameras. She loved to act. She found joy in it. Being famous was not part of the equation to pursue her dream. How rare is that in Hollywood, I wonder.
you got that right donna!!!! is it just me or does Suzanne sound like she's a bs artist. she says she was just a single mom and only wished the show would of lasted 12 episodes and she said she so broke but it was a tremendous hit and the money was just fine for serious actors like Ritter and DeWitt but "Crissy" needed more money...hmmm??I thought you were just hoping to make a little money and hoping it lasted 12 episodes!!!! YOU WERE A GREEDY BITCH SUZY...WHAT A SLAP IN THE FACE OF JOHN AND JOYCE ALSO. WITHOUT JOHN....NO 3'S COMPANY...W/OUT JOYCE..NO 3'S COMPANY AND UNFORTUANATELY WITHOUT "CRISSY" NO 3'S COMPANY. I just thought she came off disingenuous saying "ooh a single mother just wanting to make some money and hope the show would last12 episodes but then after 5 years well you know what I'M THE STAR AND SHOULD GET MORE THAN JOHN AND JOYCE. SCREW YOU SUZANNE. JOYCE IS A CLASS ACT AND A REAL BEAUTIFUL LADY...SINCERE. GOD I WAS SOOO LUCKY TO GROW UP AS A KID WATCHING THAT SHOW AT 7PM EVERY NIGHT AND THEN I HAD A BLONDE GIRL/ FRIEND WHO ALSO LOVED THE SHOW TOO AND I CALLED HER CRISSY AND SHE CALLED ME JACK HA HA!!!! UNFORTUANATELY FOR ME I HAD A CRUSH ON HER BUT SHE WANTED TO BE JUST FRIENDS..OHHH WELL I WOULDN'T HAVE TRADED THOSE MEMORIES FOR ANYTHING. DO YOU AGREE WITH ME ON MY OP ON SUZANNE????
Donna Steele yeah I mean "ooohh I was a single mom just wanting to make some money and just hoping the show would last 13 episodes" ohh please. GREEDY.JOYCE STAYED!!!!!! to me they were all equal...another words if you don't have all 3 you don't really have 3's company...period even though I kept watching. I thought jenilee harrisson was awful!!!!! the next one was pretty good...Priscilla barnes I believe???
I came back to rewatch this after hearing the news of Suzanne's death. So glad that she and Joyce made peace before she passed. Three's Company was a hilarious show built around the theme of friendship, and here we see two of its stars teaching an important lesson about friendship, which is that it's never too late to make up with friends that we've quarreled with.
They were all SOOOOOO funny ! Also the actress who played the horny upstairs neighbor Lana, who wanted bed Jack Tripper. All these actors were brilliant
I read a lot how Suzanne Somers asked for too much money, that she wasn't the head of the show. But what amazes me is that she had the tenacity to know her worth. Regardless if anybody else could see it or not. Even after being let go, she went on and create an empire. To me that's amazing.
thats nonsense about knowing your worth. I know my worth but no one will pay me for it. its soooo subjective its meaningless. attaching monetary value to self worth is the wrong way to look at things.
Thats foolish. She didnt "know her worth" She was greedy, selfish and just nasty person that cared about no one but herself. She put the jobs of everyone on the entire show in jeopardy just for her own selfish aims. Even she has admitted this herself in recent years in several interview. She regrets her actions on threes company
I'm watching There's Company right now. I can still hear my mother laughing when we watched this when I was a kid. So sad when John Ritter passed. He definitely made the show!
@Bold_One: you are so right about how there just doesn’t seem to be the wonderful TV comedies like there used to be. The reality TV shows are in no way a decent substitute, for the quality TV shows of the past. Luckily for me at least, ‘Fraser’ is a great example of a high quality TV series and it’s come back - - in a new format that seems likely to be a success too.
Paul Ever wonder what Janet is up to these days. Three’s Company 2 picks up on Janet’s life in modern day NYC. www.broadwayworld.com/off-broadway/article/THREES-COMPANY-TWO-Comes-to-Hudson-Guild-Theater-20190904
I was just a kid in the 70's, as a matter of fact my mother is Joyce, John and Susanne's age. I'm a 44 year old black man this year 2013 and I'm telling you that show was everything to me. I thought for the longest television was real so John really was Jack Tripper and I loved and gravitated toward goofy people..... I'm so sad to hear of his passing and equally sad to know that there was a feud that lasted for 30 years. I'm so happy they have lived long enough to reconcile. God bless them and long live Three's Company re-runs!
Lordcron. From 1 brother to another. Im 40 and 3s company was tops of all shows. Love it. John ritters character could NOT be played by any 1 else. Chrissy was too dippy for my taste but Janet was "wifelike!. I mean her demeanor and body was perfect. She was serious, mature and funny..... My all time favorite show. Btw, I loved terry as well.
Lordcron Many (most) Blks wondered by there were nvr any Blk guest stars (main guest stars) on the show. That ran 7 yrs. I mean SOAP, SOAP even spent-off BENSON which outlasted it for at least 3yrs. And still replaced Gillium w/ Brown, another Blk. WKRP, APT. 222. Even WONDER WOMAN for God's sake!
+Lordron Wow I feel the same way I loved the show it was the best growing up and your right i gravitate towards funny people that were easy to get along with as well:)
It touched me when Susan said "come and knock on my door again"...I paused my tv to see this.. and what I was watching on tv is Threes Company...still in love with the show.. so many childhood memories...
That’s really pushing it. Asking them to work together again? I’m sure some of the hard feelings are still there. Not to mention Suzanne is loaded and doesn’t need to spend her time devoted to a sitcom anymore. She’s more of a business woman than an actress.
I think Joyce should have her own sitcom. Janet was really funny. Joyce’s chemistry with John AND Janet’s chemistry with Jack was fantastic! I thought Joyce had her share of great physical comedy moments on the show, which were probably inspired by John. I say Joyce’s show should be a spin-off of Three’s Company where Janet owns her own flower shop and she’s still married to Phillip.
WOW... Janet (Joyce DeWitt) STILL has that delectable, sweet smile that I have ALWAYS found enticing in episodes of 'Three's Company'. She is always a cutie.
She wanted and meditated for this reunion for so many years. They grew into it and they both allowed their raw feelings to be shown. They didn't avoid the true weight of the moment. They embraced the moment and I was so glad they lifted that distance obstacle and sat down for a great reunion.
I still watch "Three's Company" all the time. I continue to laugh and to admire the comic brilliance of each cast member!! Through the difficult period of Suzanne leaving the show then adding the characters of Cindy, Terri and Mr. Furley, it continued to be one of the funniest sitcoms ever created. Timeless slapstick and physical comedy at it 's best!
well said! indeed Janet was a fixture in the show. but regardless of who came and gone, John always made it funny and enjoyable to watch every episode!
This interview alone is a prime example of why Joyce was always my choice. Then and now. A natural beauty who always seemed to have a genuine kindness. Nothing fake or forced. And someone who seemed to care more about the work than than the fame that came with it. What Dawn Wells was to Gilligan’s Island is what Joyce was to Three’s Company.
I agree with Ms. DeWitt of TC = Ms. Wells of GI . I guess Ms. Somers will always be the "villain" of TC similar to Ms. Louise will always be the "villa[n" of GI . But these two ladies like Wells / Louise will always be connected in history .
Joyce was grateful for the $$$. Suzann's flailing show got a bump in return. Joyce had to dress down here so S could have more camera. I watched tis originally. That, is what happened.
As amazing as it was to see them together there's still so much tension between them. Felt like what was unspoken was louder than the very careful and safe conversation they had. Susanne looks amazing but have to say Joyce, at her age, is a true stunner. Time was very kind to her! 😍
I remember reading that the three had made a pact that none of them would upset the applecart they were riding on, and Joyce and John had felt betrayed by Susanne's actions. Not that I think Susanne's demands were unjustified.
@@phillyflash43not unjustified? She wasn’t even the star of the show lol 😂 she literally demanded more money and creative control cause she hated not being the star.
@@taylorpack7705 Um she WAS the star of the show even if they didnt intend her to be. The moment Three's Company cross my mind, the moment I think of Somer's flowy blonde hair placing me into the 70s so yes her presence was much bigger than you think. Also she passed today so RIP so her.
I loved Threes Company and all the cast mebers sure miss them together. Was my favorite show and i will remember them all until my dying day So happy to see this reunion, I realy miss John Ritter. Thanks for the laughter John..
Some people blame Suzanne but Suzanne is simply a go getter! The rest of her life proves it even without 3's Company, with the big wig producers black listing her from Hollywood, she STILL had her own show, she still performed for the troops, played at Las Vegas, created the thigh master, later had her own series, has her own skin line, she does not stop, it's her personality and I applaud her for it! She's been more active and successful than any of the 3's company cast! She was right in asking the same money as the male stars.
I don't blame her for asking for more money but I think she miscalculated by thinking she could demand the same as Larry Hagman, Carroll O'Connor or Alan Alda. Those stars were indispensable to their shows. Suzanne Somers obviously wasn't indispensable, since Three's company continued to run for essentially another four years after she was fired by the producers. She was welcome to negotiate an increase but I think she overestimated her bargaining position. But her career still flourished in the end, so all turned out well.
The problem is she didn’t just asked for more money, which they did try to give her by the way, she was asking for too much money. They gave her more money and then she demanded a piece of the ownership of the show. It’s not completely her fault, she just was young and got played by her boyfriend who became her manager. Keep in mind, John Ritter was the star of that show, and was already an established actor. That show would’ve tanked if he was the one they fired. It went on for years without Suzanne. The saddest part about it is, Suzanne probably would’ve eventually got the money she was asking for had she been patient. She was a brand new actor demanding Farrah Fawsett money. In the process she burned every bridge in the industry.
John Ritter made 150K, and Suzanne made 30K. I read she asked for a 20K raise, which would have brought her pay up to 50K. Ritter still made 100K more. Suzanne did just fine without that dumb show. Joyce even calls out the show premise as a farce. It seems Joyce wasn't proud of the farce but liked the paycheck. Suzanne stood alone for equalish pay. Where's Gloria Steinem's comment on the SS passing?
I have to say, I always loved Joyce. She was my favorite on the show. And it does my heart so good to see her reconnect with Suzanne. I totally understand that they are very different people with very different backgrounds, but they shared an amazing experience, and I'm so glad to see them reconnect.
b Talalay Hey, forgiving for what Susanne left the show and when Jack moved on to his spin off he didn't tell the cast they weren't shooting Three's company anymore nor invite any of them to come with him. I love John Ritter and Suzanne Summers and Joyce but you have to be fair about this. John was not the show and when he tried the spin off he found out and when Suzanne got two new shows one long running she showed them. Now I can understand Janet being mad if Suzanne asked her to pick sides but if it wasn't that then I don't understand.
I have always loved Janet. She was so kind and sensible. Blonds come and go but Janet was always the Rock. In the episode where Jack finally realized that Janet would be moving out after her marriage, I cried too.
Do you remember the episode when Janet was going to be a dancer? A star, and something happened and @ the end Jack asked Janet to for a dance?? SO Good
I always thought they turned Janet into a b****y spinster. I like DeWitt, but Janet not so much. Too bad they stuck with the blondes have more fun thing
@@fleurmartin Good point, Janet was like the spinster older sister or something. Smarter and more grounded than ditzy Chrissy. And yes! it was the peak of the Blondes Have More Fun era, wasn’t it? I just checked and the Rod Stewart album “Blondes Have More Fun” came out in 1978. 🤔
I will say this about Suzanne Somers. She is a strong woman and very resilient. At the time of her falling out with Three's Company she went up against (for lack of a better word) the boys club and stood up to them for what she believed at the time was her right. They fired her for it and she lost, and maybe she was wrong, but she stood her ground at a time when most women wouldn't have dared. She went on and came up against other major struggles in her life but she kept coming around and marched on. I respect that.
i love this. i was born in the late eighties but grew up watching three's company thanks to my dad being a huge fan. i can't wait to show this to him. joyce is very gracious and suzanne is genuine (it is telling in how nervous she appeared so, haters, stop it). this is a lovely video and a wonderful resolution
I recently started watching three's Company re-runs again and it brings me right back. It is really the only show that makes me laugh out loud. I cant help the feeling of sadness though. It's weird how i feel like they are all part of my family.
If you want to exude the ultimate level of class of Ms. Joyce Dewitt, don't call women who take great care of themselves and have a desire to stay young for as long as possible, "bimbos".
I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Joyce a few years back when I volunteered at WizardWorld. She's such a great person to talk to; very straight forward. She gave me a hug and a kiss (my dad was jealous). Priscilla Barnes was really fun, too!
So happy to see Joyce and Suzanne together, again!! Grew up watching Three's Company and didnt miss an episode!! Was so sad when Chrissy left. But I'll never stop watching it and Im sure new fans are popping up, too. My 20 year old, is totally hooked! Like a classic song, when something is good..its going to last!
All of the trash talk going on in the comments section. Ummm... hello? Do you not realize that the important thing here isn't who was wrong, but that they managed to finally put it to bed while they were still alive to do so? This nearly brought a tear to my eye. Immense respect to both of them for this. To be this emotionally naked publicly with something so difficult had to have taken so much courage. Reconciling opens you up to such vulnerability, and they didn't shy away from it. Somers said "I'm sorry" publicly. When's the last time you said that to anyone, public or private? World: learn from this. Life's too short to take hate to our graves. Apologize. Forgive. Whatever you were fighting about, trust me, compared to what there is to experience with each other, it's just not that important.
Your comments ring true with me. I'm glad they were able to reconcile. Reconciliation is an art. It takes 2 people. So often in life, 1 person might be willing to reconcile, but the other person still does not. Thank goodness, these 2 women finally were able to reunite and bury the hatchet. Saying "I'm sorry" must come from the heart. Otherwise, they're just words. The hand holding was a significant gesture. Still, they're not really close with each other, nor were they ever, nor will they ever will be. I think they realized with John Ritter's sudden passing, that when you get in your 60's, your days are measured.
FractalGypsy Well said, FGypsy! Wise words w/your comment & mind-set. So many people sweat the small stuff, refusing to recognize that past mistakes have been made (by all involved). These two women made an attempt to find peace. Positivity is always GOOD! "I was wrong" or "I am sorry" are three little words (for whatever reason) some can't embrace.....but when genuinely said, is life altering and so worth it!
Mats Yever Maybe you're not familiar with the back story here? Somers when 3's Company was big after a few seasons demanded an exorbitant amount of money and was kicked off. For many years there was no reconciliation: she thought her request was fair, others didn't agree. Even at Ritter's funeral they couldn't bridge the gap. Apparently Suzanne finally came to the conclusion that she went overboard. I'm not going to specifically judge that she was or wasn't myself, I'm just glad that they managed to put it in the past. I think that's easily the most important aspect of this.
its sad to think that Suzanne and John are both gone. The Ropers and Mr. Furley as well. Such a fun TV show with hilarious characters. This video is uplifting......loved that they had THIS moment.
Joyce was grateful for the $$$. Suzann's flailing show got a bump in return. Joyce had to dress down here so S could have more camera. I watched tis originally. That, is what happened.
Suzanne’s first women’s health book told us women to have a group of labs taken. I brought the book to my doc with pages earmarked to read and said I want these blood tests. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos, an autoimmune disease of the thyroid. A major amount of damage to your organs can manifest from not getting this disease diagnosed. I am so grateful for her pioneering for women’s health and then writing her journey then bringing her journey to the population through television appearances. If this ever gets to Suzanne, thank you from my heart. I was dealing with fatigue in my 50’s and the doc said I was fine go exercise. I was too tired to exercise and five years earlier I was a rollerblading fanatic. Skating an hour to 2 hours a day. A joyous stress reducer. Then I hit a wall. Heard Suzanne on a talk show showcasing the women’s health and being your own advocate theme and I immediately bought her book. She is truly a remarkable person.
I think for someone who hasn't seen eachother in 30 years, the hugs looked a little distant. I mean really look at them. I So super loved this show as a kid in the 70's and 80''s and I hate the political side of this show. They actually hated on John Ritter during the time of taping the show. They were extremely jeqlous of the amount of money he made in comparison to them. They even offered Susan more money because she was a blond. And considered more attractive. . REST IN PEACE JACK TRIPPER 😥
@@pauljenkins278 - I don’t think that’s entirely true. She got right up when Joyce entered the room. She was nervous and waited for Joyce to extend her arms first. There’s probably a small bit of guilt for making it difficult for Joyce during the salary dispute.
Despite the past, these two were brave enough to let bygones be bygones and meet! It is not easy and to this day, they are cordial, warm and very friendly to each other! Folks, you are watching a historic moment!
Joyce was grateful for the $$$. Suzann's flailing show got a bump in return. Joyce had to dress down here so S could have more camera. I watched tis originally. That, is what happened.
For the people slamming Suzanne Somers here. She was not only real and genuine in this interview, she was explaining how she was standing up for what she thought was right. As great as John Ritter, Don Knotts and all the cast and writers were, the 'Chrissy' character was legendary in TV history. Suzanne deserved to be paid the exact same amount as anyone else on the show did for her amazing contributions and ability. Suzanne Somers was a trailblazer not only in the business of show but also in equal rights. -Kevin Kukk, President OVX.
The problem is that many of the judgmental people here weren't around when Three's Company was originally on the air. Suzanne Somers was a household name and many watched the show because of her. As the seasons went on Suzanne really made Chrissy even better. Her comedic timing was just great. Suzanne was brave to stand up to the powers that be, but unfortunately it just wasn't the time to bring up equal pay and all that.
OVX Live. That may be. But the way she went about trying to get more money made her look like a greedy bitch. And I think she was at the time. But after watching this video I'm glad to see that she realized she was wrong about what she did and apologized to Joyce for it.
This show literally got me off a bout with depression and anxiety. Was going through a tough time, and decided to binge watch season 3. Was a different person when it concluded.
Joyce allowed her racist mom to break up her relationship with The Reading Rainbow host (a black man). Joyce is also not very polite when fans meet her in public unfortunately.
Their maturity is just lovely to watch. They gave credit to each other's experience without discrediting and attacking each other. May Suzanne rest in peace, all the best to Joyce.
Jeff Beck looked younger than his years for a long time and people would ask him what his anti-aging secret was and his answer was, "I guess just never change your haircut. I never did." Joyce is still rocking the 80s Pat Benatar hair.
Am I the only one feeling uncomfortable at how much Suzanne Somers seems to want to control Joyce's comments by talking over her & not giving her a chance to talk at length about her own feelings? And no one raised the ridiculous terms Somers demanded which led to her being fired from the show after just one season.
These ladies are very very different...but it was nice how they handled this respectfully. They will never be friends...but they understand each other❤

I wish John Ritter could just pop out and hug them too😭😭😭 it’s not the same without him and Don Knotts..and Audrey Lindley, and Norman Fell 😭😭😭😭😊 RIP
True. I'm thankful Joyce is still here. She was a real backbone for the show
Im right there with ya..They were my safe zone as a kid.id get lost in every episode. Each show always ended too quickly.
I still watch a couple episodes every single day..
I miss John Ritter!
How rare is that in Hollywood, I wonder.
right and John made 50K not 150k like Suzanne tends to say in recent years lol - she definitely asked for way too much
Joyce is a very warm and elegant lady.
That does not make her better or worse than Suzanne. It is ok that she sis want game and fortune.
And she had a dud career.
@@saraschneider6781 dud career? It's not all about that for your life to be rewarding.
glad Joyce didn't get plastic surgery, she looks good still. wish john could've been there.

Joyce has had multiple nose jobs.
She didn't go overboard like Priscilla Barnes.
mudd man Dude peace, no need to be rude, increase the peace, stop the hate! ✌
DeWitt is a real lady.
absolutely
you got that right donna!!!! is it just me or does Suzanne sound like she's a bs artist. she says she was just a single mom and only wished the show would of lasted 12 episodes and she said she so broke but it was a tremendous hit and the money was just fine for serious actors like Ritter and DeWitt but "Crissy" needed more money...hmmm??I thought you were just hoping to make a little money and hoping it lasted 12 episodes!!!! DO YOU AGREE WITH ME ON MY OP ON SUZANNE????
yes... she is full of crap
I thought jenilee harrisson was awful!!!!! the next one was pretty good...Priscilla barnes I believe???
yes...
Joyce is deceased too right?
There's a three's company reunion in heaven.

They were all SOOOOOO funny ! Also the actress who played the horny upstairs neighbor Lana, who wanted bed Jack Tripper. All these actors were brilliant
Came back here to watch this after Suzanne's passing. I'm happy this reunion happened. RIP Suzanne.
It sounds like you'll believe whatever a man would tell you in your 👂 lol
Thats foolish. She didnt "know her worth" She was greedy, selfish and just nasty person that cared about no one but herself. She put the jobs of everyone on the entire show in jeopardy just for her own selfish aims. Even she has admitted this herself in recent years in several interview. She regrets her actions on threes company
She asked for 5xs the amount they were paying her… which is a what the male lead was making
You cant blame her.
We are all human.
May she rest in peace
JOHN RITTER WOULD BE SO PROUD OF THESE TWO RIGHT NOW!

Together they made the show. Like pieces to a puzzle, together they fit.
nothing makes me laugh harder than 3s company reruns. best comedy sitcom ever!

Absolutely. Hands down! Love, love, love Three's Company.
It's a very good sitcom I really enjoy it! You made it great!
You can tell that Joyce is such a professional. If I were an actor, I'd want to work with her.
Rest In Peace, Suzanne. I'm so happy that Joyce and Suzanne reconciled. "Three's Company", for good or bad, was part of my childhood.
You sure can tell Joyce is spiritual, professional and actualized. Bravo for leaving Hollywood.

She still works on occasion....?
Yes. joyce is a humble person
Lordron, what a wonderful comment, thank you.

Agreed as well.
They should do something together. Love to see them in a sitcom. Joyce is gifted. I would love to see her act again.
This was and still is one of my favourite comedies ever!! Love both of these women!!
My fav comedy as well! 😊
WOW...
Janet (Joyce DeWitt) STILL has that delectable, sweet smile that I have ALWAYS found enticing in episodes of 'Three's Company'.
She is always a cutie.
I just love Joyce. Such a genuine soul. Man I had such a crush on her when I was 13 in 1977. I guess I still do.
She wanted and meditated for this reunion for so many years. They grew into it and they both allowed their raw feelings to be shown. They didn't avoid the true weight of the moment. They embraced the moment and I was so glad they lifted that distance obstacle and sat down for a great reunion.
Joyce was grateful for the $$$. Suzann's flailing show got a bump in return. I watched tis originally. That, is what happened.

As amazing as it was to see them together there's still so much tension between them. Felt like what was unspoken was louder than the very careful and safe conversation they had. Susanne looks amazing but have to say Joyce, at her age, is a true stunner. Time was very kind to her! 😍
I remember reading that the three had made a pact that none of them would upset the applecart they were riding on, and Joyce and John had felt betrayed by
Susanne's actions.

I don't think there was tension between them at all here. It was just the nervousness of not seeing or speaking to one another for over 30 years.

@@jayboyee452 Suzanne
John Ritter made 150K, and Suzanne made 30K. I read she asked for a 20K raise, which would have brought her pay up to 50K. Ritter still made 100K more.
Suzanne did just fine without that dumb show.
Joyce even calls out the show premise as a farce. It seems Joyce wasn't proud of the farce but liked the paycheck.
Suzanne stood alone for equalish pay.
Where's Gloria Steinem's comment on the SS passing?
It depends what your definition is of success.
I have to say, I always loved Joyce. She was my favorite on the show. And it does my heart so good to see her reconnect with Suzanne. I totally understand that they are very different people with very different backgrounds, but they shared an amazing experience, and I'm so glad to see them reconnect.
Janet is such a sweet, forgiving person!
b Talalay smart too
b Talalay Hey, forgiving for what Susanne left the show and when Jack moved on to his spin off he didn't tell the cast they weren't shooting Three's company anymore nor invite any of them to come with him.
SO Good
Blondes came and went, yes… after they dumped Suzanne. But the show was never the same, proving she was much more than “a blonde”.
Into the late-80’s I remember “dumb blonde” jokes.
Yes, she was treated badly for asking for more money.....a man wouldn't have been so maligned.

Three's Company is one of my favorite shows.
Beautifully said
FractalGypsy But... what happened? Why did S Sommers feel the urge to apologize?

Joyce is just a class act.
Unless you're a big star, no. You don't deserve equal pay as other big stars. That's not how it works.
She was very good but was she contributing as much as John, nah.

I think Suzanne looks better now. In the 70’s, she had that perfect body. But her face was too long and skinny.
@@RicciBilotta Suzanne looked her best when she was on Step by step when she was well into her 40s
There's nothing quite like reconciliation.. .

Forgiveness is so powerful. RIP Chrissy Snow.
Joyce is still so pretty! I grew up watching that show...glad to see these two beautiful ladies reconcile.
John was smiling down from Heaven that day...
John Ritter was a sexist asshole. May he rot in HELL

@@lvnnurse1844 - Ok Karen.
These ladies are very very different...but it was nice how they handled this respectfully. They will never be friends...but they understand each other❤
I am so glad they made amends before Suzanne's passing.
RIP Suzanne you deserve peace and no pain...
RIP SUZANNE SOMERS. Threes Company is one of my favorite sitcoms of all time.

Joyce looks healthy and sounds intelligent. 😊
Still watch 3S Company all the time! 30 years later!
The whole cast of Three's Company will live forever in reruns.
I love the cast from Three’s Company and so glad to see Joyce and Suzanne finally get reunited after many many years. I missed Suzanne after she left the cast and always hoped they would someday speak again. It is so sad to see people go separate ways and never reunite. Threes company is one of my favorite shows and I have seen every single episode many times.
