in case anyone was wondering of the music in the background, the music is the Shiki-Shima's official soundtrack, it is played in the Lounge car, it was recorded by a full orchestra. thats how beautiful the music is aboard this beautiful train.
@@kateym2198 Well, the US is a third-world country. If I could choose to live in Switzerland or Japan, I'll choose Switzerland because all this you see in Japan is built on the back of humans being pushed to their very limit every single day...it's exhausting.
@@sanjoyroy2313 How come? Radhabinod Pal was a jurist and was one of three Asian judges appointed to the International Military Tribunal for the Far East, the "Tokyo Trials" of Japanese war crimes committed during the Second World War. Among all the judges of the tribunal, he was the only one who submitted a judgment which insisted all defendants were not guilty. The Yasukuni Shrine and the Kyoto Ryozen Gokoku Shrine have monuments specially dedicated to Pal. That's all, nothing to do with development of Japan.
@Amen! Such magnificent accomplishments on an island nation with a stable government. P. S. I eat Japanese food as often as my budget, SS, will allow. Sashimi, Yummy!
Japan's advantages: cleanliness, safety, courtesy, honesty, high quality products & services, etc. are all cultural. I've lived in four countries including Australia, Singapore, Japan, and Germany. No other country can duplicate it.
Such opulence in a train is really hard to believe, extremely high level of aesthetics.... Simply awesome. Beautiful scenic views along the journey, stunning at places. Very well made and edited video, the selection of music is so appropriate. A magnificent experience to simplicity watch the video, would covet to experience the train. Thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽
A marvelous experiencing - e-viewing this luxury train, which we couldn't afford in our lifetime. But we enjoy seeing the artistic & luxurious touches everywhere on the train and the beautiful landscape that this train travels through. Thank you for sharing.
Very Art Deco! Was standing on the platform of a small station in northern Saitama on my way home from work last year and this went through the station. At the time all I could think was: what the ...was that?!! The two things which hit me were - one: it was gold, and two: the windows were sort of cut-out vaulted shapes. Nobody I asked had any idea what it was and I was forced to ask the old guy in the ticket office eventually. Just wish I'd had time to take a photo, but I was too busy picking my jaw up off the floor.
The current most expensive private room for one person for four days and three nights costs 1.5 million yen (about $13,000). If two person use that, the total cost is 2 million yen (about $18,000).
With the train's music suite and it elegantly gliding on the tracks you can hardly compare in railroad luxury. It's only rivals being the Seven Stars and the Twilight Express. Of course the Shikishima, Twilight Express, and the Seven Stars are my top three favorite trains of all time.
Fantastic train. The Japanese are people that respect society. They don’t have the morons that we have here. Congratulations to Japan and its train system. The best in the world! What a train!!!!!
Clearly you’ve never visited Japan. They have vandalism and violent crime, prostitution and police corruption, drug abuse and driving offences just the same as every other developed nation.
Got a spare 10-15K? This train is an experience that travels across the country to various places and includes all sorts of dining experiences, sightseeing and more. Most of the trips of 2-4 days worth.
@@nikerailfanningttm9046 When are you taking the trip? Japanese people, unusually, haven’t been very welcoming to tourists because of the CoViD spike after the Tokyo2020 Olympics held in 2021.
@American Nobody Sorry I did not know that you are the spokesperson for the 9 people who disliked the video. Also, I think you are conflating homelessness in the US with homelessness in Japan which has been steadily declining while it has been rising in the US.
In the UK we use CWR, Continuously Welded Rail. We simply weld the rail sections together, tension the rails then grind the railhead smooth. This prevents the traditional ‘clickety clack’ sound we used to hear and makes the ride extremely smooth. Hope that helps.
Trains are far superior to highways when is about land traveling, but under the illusion of 'personal freedom' we are stuck, here in US, with those death/pollution traps call 'cars'.
I am blessed to view Japan ! The Music ,so soothing ! Beautiful , Awesome , Marvellous, Wonderful ! Cleanliness is next to Godliness ! The Night ride ,and the Snow Flakes amazing ! Thanks and God Bless Luxurious Train ! Tempting Food was skipped ! 🙏❤️🙂♥️🇮🇳
Wow, what a train. Incredible. What does a ticket cost....? As Japan doesn't house a lot of oil barons it must be people owning car factories, semiconductor companies, that buy the tickets... Joking!

It is beautiful, the Japanese are so good at every thing they do, I have a lot of respect for this country.
Same here😊
It seems beauty cleanliness symmetry organic purity are such a high priority. Their discipline is remarkable so lacking in US
Respect from the core of my heart too.

No words...Just WOW. Masterpiece of a train.
Hats off to People of Japan 🇯🇵 ! From a devastated country during World War Two, they have built such a developed country !
Japanese is a very hardworking race. A bengali named Radhabinod Paul was behind their development. Japanese accept this.

A 2 day trip in the cheapest room in this train costs more than $3000. So yeah, you can expect something for that.
