Figuratively and literally, a different world to what I experience here, in New Zealand. Although I'm English, by birth, my parents left the UK when I was only about a year old, but I am glad they did, considering how things are over there now. I'd still like to return some day, to visit the home country I have no recollection of, but, as I'm in my 60's, it may not happen. By the way, what percentage of the housing in Barrow is occupied? Are there large numbers of vacant properties, due to people moving to more 'desirable' locations?
Not many vacant properties in Barrow. In fact house prices in Barrow have claimed considerably in recent months, so much that they are close to the same price as houses in Ulverston and Kendal.
