This is why Leo Fender never made solid body guitars with glued in necks. Cheaper to replace the neck than to have to repair the broken neck. Cost of replacement is much cheaper than the luthier's cost of repair - and probably better.
I assume this is one of the older Korean or Japanese made Epiphone guitars since it has the Gibson open book headstock and the correct Gibson style truss rod just like the Orville guitars also made in Japan probably around the same time.
@@jedjen7473 although possible it’s highly unlikely since it had the proper Gibson style truss rod and 2 screw truss rod cover. Which aren’t available from Epiphone having a regular allen key nut.
Gibson got a lot of manufacturing right, but they still persist with the old school ways, and it's maybe time for them to move into the current century.
I have a 1995 epiphone acoustic guitar, it has the gibson logo truss rod cover too. From what I read, all epiphone guitars (acoustic and electric) had them until 2003. It was a marketing move.
I have a '93 Korean-made Epiphone Les Paul standard with the same truss rod as all of my Gibsons...So I'm guessing this Custom is Korean too, especially with the "Gibson" truss rod cover...
The more I see videos like this, the happier I am with my Stratocaster.
Muito bom, nasceu de novo! 👍
技術精巧.工作认可、工作不断.恭喜恭喜😍😍😍
You made that look so easy to fix

Actually fender has a couple single piece designs.

The "inspired by Gibson" range have the open book as well, they've been around for a couple of years now.

Assuming you are using high glue ? Great tooling for routing, spining are the most secure option for any professional and responsible luthiers.
@@UCEg7z1wK yes I use high glue for this guitar
Hide glue.
- video Inspired by Gibson - Spend $4000 on a Gibson and then another $1000 to fix their broken necks. ROFLMAO
The Gibson-style headstock, one of the biggest design flaws still in production.
Buy some Big Boy clamps 😂
The little ones are more precise and distribute pressure more evenly than the big wide area clamps, & can fit in smaller spaces

Calls my attention an Epiphone with a Gibson style truss rod instead of a double action or hex key style.

Mine is the 3 screw cover though (acoustic, PR5-E). This one is the 2 screws one
This is clearly a Japanese made elite series. Fantastic build quality and a dream guitar for me
Yeah it´s a Gibson-Style trussrod but it's still quite different compared to what type of trussrods Gibson uses.. :D

For such a massive gluing surface why bother splining? You've just added more potential weaknesses!?
the headstock angle and the wood grain direction of that part. splining there will be nice
Go fetch me a scarf it’s cold out😅 looks like a solid repair though, looks Japanese as well so it’s probably better than a Gibson. Well done.🏴🇬🇧
I agree. Unnecessary reinforcements.
Inspired by Gibson 😂
Buy a new guitar
INSPIRED BY GIBSON MODEL.... OH YES IT IS LOL
