    Dynamic Corvettes - C1, C2, C3 Corvette Restoration/Repair/Restomod shop in Saginaw. Since 1982 we've been crazy about Corvettes. It's all we work on! We also have a large catalog of custom fiberglass / carbon fiber parts that are DESIGNED, MOLDED, BUILT, and SOLD by only us! We take great pride in our parts, using only top of the line materials from start to finish. Unlike some competitors, we use woven fiberglass strand mats which are laid on the mold and infused with resin by hand. Instead of cheap all-purpose resin, we ONLY use vinyl ester resin which is much stronger.
    You don't cut corners, and neither do we. If you're looking for the highest quality custom parts for your Corvette, you'll find them at Dynamic Corvettes.

      I have a question? Great job btw! You guys used chisels & wedges to break the bonding strips loose. How come? Was it ONLY to save & reuse the old front end? Why not simply use an air chisel? I would assume less work & more efficient. If you weren't trying to save the old F.E., Then would you use an air chisel? Thank you gents!

      Thanks Mike. We like to it by hand because it is less aggressive. We want to maintain as must of the bonding strips as possible.

      That’s pretty amazing and I am amazed how strong that epoxy adhesive really is. You guys did an excellent job removing the entire clip. Do you know why the owner wants the older 1969 look? I was just curious is all. I have no idea what this would cost, but would it have been cheaper for him to sell the 1980 car and purchase an original 1969? Thanks for the video.

    Would using a heat gun help breaking the bonding strip and cause less damage removing outer panels?

    Thanks for posting this. I have been looking at a 1970 windshield back shell online and wanted to save it from just sitting on the ground. I wanted to turn it into a open wheel buggy. Everyone I know is building VW buggys and I wanted something different, so this is the reason i started looking for a wrecked corvette. This one has been stripped, so everything will have to be fabricated up. It will be cool to drive a V8 front wheel drive buggy and still have that old school corvette style body to it. My build will not be cheap though because I will still have to look for a few corvette parts to replace. Its missing the t-tops and a few other parts. I wanted the interior to look like a corvette so that's where most of my money will be spent.

  • @ssdtrain1
    @ssdtrain1 3 роки тому

    so I'm going to replace my 1968 front clip with an original 1968-69 front clip that has the original inner fenders
    still mounted to it. can't I just remove the old clip with the inner fenders still attached? and install the other with
    the inner fenders without any problems?

    Nice start; however, your name for the video indicates that you’d be installing your 69 front clip, which isn’t in the video and you’ve got this video in your video “playlists”, one video does not make a playlist. Overall disappointing.
