As a Corporate Consultant, John Deere , Europe and Best Foods, Manager this is one of the BEST VIDEOS to repair a Corvette EVER. Thank you sir
Thank you, and thanks for watching
OK guys this was a great pre-game video -- I'll be replacing the seals in my 1972 Stingray, tomorrow AM. This was very helpful ! Appreciate you, Problem Solver Garage.
No problem thanks for watching
Thank you! Just finished up and lights are working smooth as butter now. Not so pro tip: To get the actuators out, push the hood up past the prop point and use something to hold it. I taped a piece of thin cardboard to the hood and was able to sneak them out that way.
I watched your vid on vacuum hoses and now this one so I could help a friend with his C3 and the vids were extremely helpful. Thanks so much for taking the time to shoot them.👍
Thanks for the awesome feedback
Thank you for the video! Replacing mine. W-D 40 is a lubricant, not a penetrant. PB Blaster is much more effective for breaking bolts loose.
Well done, thanks for posting! I have the same sleepy HL on my ‘79- time to fix it.
Great video! I had exactly the same problem on my renovated vette. It turned out the rubber seal was just badly installed. Thanks to your very detailed description it was a piece of cake for me to reinstall the seal and the light goes up and down again. One note, it is very tricky to get the actuator out if the hood is in place. One can pull it through the holes below the lights but it takes a bit of effort. It is like a 3D game of Tetris :-)
Another great how to video…. Thanks
Thank you my friend again
Good information my man. Thanks for making these videos.
No problem, thanks for watching

Thanks and yes
Another great video, I have been restoring vintage cars and Harley Davidsons a long time. Like you, I never take to the open road until I go through all the systems checking everything front to back! Keep the vids coming.
Hello again from Germany, today i fixed my left Headlamp actuator with your great Video. thank you for your helping Video. tom
You're welcome, thanks for watching
very informative great video,
Thanks and thanks for watching
I enjoy your videos
Thx
I need to get on board with you. This is why my projects are always over budget. All I needed was a bushing, instead of just getting the bushing, I ordered the entire rebuild kit. Thank you for sharing, brother.
No problem good luck with your project
very helpful video.
Thx 👍
Nice job
Thx
Good video. But had to take hood off
That's bad ass awesome
Thanks and thanks for watching
I just bought a 1978 corvette, it has a tear on the actuator seal. Do you think it’ll be okay if I drive it from Oregon to California?
Bro, your 69 Corvette repair videos are awesome. I removed the front grills on my 69 and there seems to be some brackets missing when the right and left grills screw into. Do you have any info on this? Thanks,
Hey thanks for watching, I’m not too sure I can’t remember how the grill goes on the car, it is at my father-in-law’s right now in his garage so I can’t go look
What does that plug with the black and white/green wire that you touch at 4:00 go to? I have the same ones and they are also unplugged. is it necessary?
That is for a light on the dash that tells you that your lights are opened, if you leave it disconnected that latest doesn’t turn on so you don’t need it
I'm guessing that if you use a vacuum tester at the vacuum hose nipple on the main body of the actuator and apply vacuum and it doesn't hold vacuum then you'll have to replace the whole actuator. Is that correct
If it can't be fixed then yes
It's vacuum line connect fron that to pipe. .. What's that .. And what's for
how can I get in touch with you
Problem Solver Garage on Facebook
where are the links?
In the description of the video
Again. I have a 72 and the right headlamp stays up all the time. I use my hand to push it down when after parking the vette. I'm trying WD40 . Possibly replace springs. Yes this is a 40 year problem I've never fixed.
Lol Good luck.
Try switching the hose going into the light from one side to the other
Is this a 69? Beautiful car
Yes it’s a 69, check out the whole series every episode in a row. There’s a playlist on my channel.
@@ProblemSolverGarage awesome I've always wanted one of those. I've got an 82 with the headlight issue gonna try your fix this weekend
Love your videos! Thank you! Can you come to OK and help me do this on my 68 Vette? 🫣😂😂😂
Sure I’m on my way, jk
Thanks for the feedback ;)
