Attempting a DIY I've never done before w/ no instructions…

It wasn´t boring at all! I find it quite comforting and relaxing, a nice video to watch before going to sleep. I watch the UA-camrs Rachel and Jun for example, they do those kind of random DIY videos as well!

A tiny little hopefully helpful tip: for woven fabric (not stretchy/knit) you can make a little cut and then basically just rip that cut apart and you’ll get a perfectly straight cut along the grain of your fabric! It’s extra easy in lighter weight fabric like the one you used too
I love watching people make things! I watched the sound of music when I was a kid over and over because she makes them clothes from curtains! Also, I loved the part in Heidi where her grandpa made her a chair!
I could literally watch u do anything as long as you're speaking thru out it. Your calm voice, easy paced scenes and little quicky add ins are something that relaxes me the way ASMR does. But it also feels like finding an adorable little miniature in a store; nostalgic, happy, and safe. I know this was all a bit random. But all in all ur vids make my heart happy 😊
Actually I love this idea! A lot of the diy/craft videos I have watched are for much more elaborate/expensive/difficult projects (which are fun to watch, but sometimes a little intimidating). I think it’s pretty inspiring to see people’s more approachable, ACTUALLY diy projects!!

Ash, love you to see you back on the UA-cams. Would love to see more crafty stuff. If no one else has mentioned this, I use a rotary cutter and an acrylic ruler to cut fabric. It makes cutting a straight line so fast and it is great for small projects like this.

You need a rotary cutter and mat! It'll change your life when it comes to cutting fabric lol Also I'd be so down to hear more about DIY ideas because this is 100% my jam.

That was brilliant and I kinda want to try it. I also have a room where I want both light filtering and blackout, and this is an amazing solution.
I'll say a 10, I was trying to figure out a way to block some sun from my windows but still get light, and tried that sticky film stuff, and OMG DiSaStEr lol! This looks so much easier, removable and easy to do! Thank you so much for the idea! I'm going to get some sheers instead of bed sheets though, I tie-dyed all my solid colored sheets, and towels, and socks, and tee shirts..... 😁

A little tip for cutting fabric - it will be easier and faster and finer (is that a word??) If you'll cut the fabric on the floor or table instead of on the air like you did so gracefully 😊

My limit for DIY has been a couple of hats. I've learned my way around the neighborhood Michael's. I've even done some sewing of patches but I'm a lousy sewer. First hat looked like it was done by a rookie. That's cool though because it's my crude first attempt.

Very cool, I would love to see more! If you plan on doing more fabric-cutting projects I highly recommend getting a rotary cutter and cutting mat. Check out quilting videos if you want to learn more about it 😀

Oh my! I do enjoy getting ideas and watching others make cool things (or yes....even epically fail....which you did not!) But for sure! Get some sewing scissors and use them only for that. Only time in any of your videos I was totally cringe. Good job though! (and fun idea for people who like window variety! New look waiting for you whenever you want it!)

I think it was about a 4 if 1 is the most boring and 10 is the most interesting. Would have been a lot more boring if you’d stretched it out longer.

Always love seeing whatever you do! The DIY was super fun, I love seeing people do creative projects (it inspires me and shows me that it's actually doable!). But honestly I would watch whatever your beautiful brain would like to create.
