I like Le Labo ‘ s parfumés very much. Santal 33 is one of my favourites. Le Labo is thinking at their customers health too and their parfums are parabens/phthalates free, vegan, against animals cruelty, they use a lot of raw and natural ingredients to the point their parfumés expire in one year , that’s why they print the date of purchase. I have only good words for le labo and I with more parfum houses to think out of box before creating a parfum. Le labo is quality
I did a blind buy of Dunhill Century for an insanely low price after watching this video and absolutely LOVE it. I think I will need a bigger bottle for summer. It lasts 8 hours plus on me (it's been 12 hours and I can still detect it) and it's just one of those fragrances that I enjoy smelling all day. Thanks, Sebastian.
I have been addicted to santal 33 since I first tried it. But now, I mostly wear another 13. I’ve just never found anything else like it, it’s such a tantalizing smell and unforgettable. I get a ton of compliments. Sometimes I wear Another 13 in my hair and Santal 33 on my wrists and clothing. Probably sounds strange but it works for me!
I heard that Another 13 doesnt last as long or is not as strong as Santal 33... is that true? I do wanna try Another 13 as well but i'm just scared that it's not going to last as long as Santal 33
My obsession with fragrance started with Le Labo Santal 33. Now I've grown my collection to include some of the most amazing niche brands offered. I am so glad you did this review. I just got my bottle of Dunhill Century in the mail yesterday thanks to one of your earlier videos. I love sandalwood and love these two scents. I am going to have to try Au Hasard now! Keep them coming. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Initio.
I love it !!! My best friend wore it every time we went out and wouldn’t tell me what it was for the longest so I thought it was Commodity book . So those two hold a special nostalgic memory of the days I was single and going out in my early 20s
I fell in love with Santal 33 when Nordstrom sent me a sample & started my fragrance journey and obsession. I now also have the perfume oil which is nice and a bit dirty smelling to me. For the most part I usually go for citrus and citrus coconut scents like one by Tom Ford.
Santal 33 has layers of excitement. I smell sandalwood from the top note and then it becomes something totally different: I can smell almost like some kind of floral sweetness in the front and the paper/leather/sandalwood in the back. It gives me goose bumps. I am now used to it and I cannot live without it. I think that is where the genius comes from: it does not have to hit the masterpiece technical sense; it just needs to have a soul. They did that perfectly.
Dunhill Century is good for a hot days, summer hi heat, citrus neroli incense, It's a bit herbal, medicinal It doesn't project loud, It sits on skin, but it'll leave a scent trail, I like it
I own Santal 33. I do not typically like this type of fragrance but, man, do I love it on me and others. My skin amps up the soft leather and dill (not at all listed as a note but my nose disagrees) and it’s just so wonderful. I want Tam Dao to last longer on me but I love that sandalwood too!
I didn’t like it when I first smelled it either. Smelled like Mens perfume. But after a while it grew on me and now it’s my signature! I love the smell and it’s beast mode. Lasts all day and on clothes n hair for days. My man loves it. It’s just so different and cozy and amazing. Total fan now
thank you for the advice. i have in this moment an LV AU Hasard tester and a Century bottle. I sprayed LV Au Hasard on right wrist AND Dunhill on the left. the difference in price is huuuuge the difference in odor is minimal. it's the same smell. I Enjoy. Happy New year from Croatia.
I have recently bought a sample of this fragrance and I love it. It reminds me of new leather that I used in craft class at school. The only issue is that I find it only lasts a short time on my skin. I would like to find something that smells the same but also goes the distance.
You’ve reviewed two of my favorites Le Labo another 13 and Au Hasard. I layer them together and it becomes beastly due to the another 13. Try it out Sebastian.
Sebastian your the only UA-camr who's fragrance (if youre gonna release one in future ) I'm gonna buy..You're an encyclopedia for a novice like me.. Thanks a lot for all the info. I own dunhill century and i smelled the dunhill icon ( silver) and for me century resembles it and is an amped up version..is that so?
I like Santal 33 but have only bought decants..i guess i dont LOVE it full price...lol...but...I did just go to Amazon and picked up Century after checking other sites and got it for 24.99 plus tax...Prime wont take away the tax in this case..in any case i took your thoughts and did pick up Century...Ill let ya know how it turns out.....Bob
Great review Sebastian. I always thought that le labo is way too screechy, until it settles, au hazard its nice but pricey, i must try the Dunhill now. Lol
Awesome vid. Will you get the chance to review LV Les Sables Roses and Gucci Eyes of the Tiger? In terms of high end designer I have really been enjoying those lately
I really love your comparison video's I bought Century blindly and it wasn't until like my 5th wearing when I was like wait a minute this smells like Santal33
I was actually underwhelmed with most of Louis Vuittons offerings for fragrance. The only ones I enjoyed were Ombré Nomad, Les Sables Roses, and Sun Song. Sun Song being my top pic of the litter.
I 1st smelt Sandal 33 on my Cousin in London. I so loved it. We went to Liberty London and I got 50ml - I can get it now in Toronto but keep it special and only get it in London. Bought it last week at Harrods. I also bought Century and it is very similar - I also get compliments (such good value)
Of the 3, I’ve only experienced Au Hasard. A friend of mine wore this on a night we went to the movies. I was nearly choked out by the SANDALWOOD. My nose is sensitive to sandalwood but it doesn’t bother me in fragrances like DHP or Byredo Oliver Peoples, which I love.
I love Santal 33. Many people don't like it and I get that but there's just something about it that I love. I generally love odd fragrances, so maybe that's that. Some people get pickle juice in this, I don't get that at all. But yes, I do get a very strong papyrus note. And also it seems very balsamic and soft to me, yet it's super strong, long lasting and easily overpowering. It's a mixture of those, which I find very exciting. Oh, and at first it really reminded me of hairspray.
I got a sample of Le Labo Santal 33 (per your and Dalya's recommendations) and I really like it! Not sure if I'll do the full bottle. I may give the Dunhill a try...but off topic - I am in LOVE with Sunny Side up byKilian - from a prior video. It's my current fav - although sometimes I smell it on me and sometimes I ldon't - but love it enough to try to 'train my nose' as you recommended with other Iso E Super fragrances!
I’ve had several decants of Santal 33 over the years. I love it most on one of my female friends. On me, meh. You smell it a lot in Reykjavik and Copenhagen on men, and it was great, but it got a little played out. By the way, I do live in Oakland. Here I notice smelling Tam Dao more often as Santal 33 became more popular. It’s similar, and more affordable.
I get a pretty different experience. A buttery texture, which definitely comes from sandalwood, although I don’t get the actual sandalwood smell. It smells fresh in an unusual way... kind of a transparent scent with green veins and spicy-woody nuances. Very modern and abstract. Very pleasant and refined. And projecting. And long-lasting. Worth the hype, I must surrender to this truth
Hi Sebastian awesome comparison as usual, just to let you know that Dunhill recently released Century Blue, It is already in popular discounted sites and whenever you get chance I would like to know what you think about that one. Looking forward to see that review thank you.
I blind bought Dunhill Century as soon as it came out and i love it. Like you, i dont understand the lack of interest in it. You're the expert.. tell me.. What is that spree or sweettart note I get out of it? i love it..
i have the travel tube of this, and my skin eats the woody notes up! I cant detect it at all, and to me it just smells so sweet and powdery and creamy. i dont know how to feel about that lol
I don’t hate and don’t love Santal 33. I love Another 13 from Le Labo. Santal 33 is like a clunky version (much like Burberry Her)- something about it just not smooth
Hi sbestian. Just search dunhill century and ended up at you channel as always 😊. Since you reviewed these fragrances that i love, can you please give your opinion about autoportrait by olfactive studio please? Thank you so much
I grew up smelling sandalwood figurines and ittars I was really excited for le labo Santal 33 but was very sad when I didn’t love it Really sad because I really miss the smell of sandalwood from India
Thank you for this awesome video! After watching hours of your videos, I must ask, if you had to choose one perfume for life, which one would you choose? 😜
I don't have a Le Labo shop near me even while living in the second biggest city of Germany. But I am really interested in trying Santal 33. I did my research and someone told me Clean Reserved in Sel Santal is a dupe. Is this true?
You’ve sold me on the Dunhill. When I was a kid, I used to burn those incense cones in a sandalwood scent. I don’t know if you can think of anything off hand that smells like that, but I’d love a suggestion. I miss those days - I used to buy solid perfume in these smoky, musky, woody fragrances, and I wish I could find those fragrances again. Definitely picking up the Dunhill though, and re-watching the Sandalwood video you linked.

Love Santal 33 too. It's very popular for a reason. The new Chanel Les Exclusifs 1957 reminded me of Santal 33. Not exactly the same, but just made me think of it.
Tell me about it. I still remember the first time I smelled Samsara in 1990. I LOVED IT! Then all the ladies I was chatting with were wearing Samsara! Go figure! :)
Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews I heard that Guerlain has secured a source of Santalum album and that Samsara will be reformulated back to its original form. Lets hope that rumor is true!

Mandy Richardson Santal 33 was the trigger for my perfume obsession too!

It is funny how u can get tired of some fragrances u once liked & u can start to enjoy others u weren't into
Exactly what I was thinking haha…. Like chasing a rabbit
It's not funny at all
Love the comparison. Love dunhill century. Unique bottle design, magnetic cap and 135ml of variant is an unique factor though.
Love Century, blind buy it and at first it smells weird but as it developed I start to like it more and more, now I love it for summer.
Dunhill Century is good for a hot days, summer hi heat, citrus neroli incense,
It's a bit herbal, medicinal
It doesn't project loud,
It sits on skin, but it'll leave a scent trail,
I like it
I own Santal 33. I do not typically like this type of fragrance but, man, do I love it on me and others. My skin amps up the soft leather and dill (not at all listed as a note but my nose disagrees) and it’s just so wonderful. I want Tam Dao to last longer on me but I love that sandalwood too!
I was testing santal 33 a few hours ago at my local shop and I had exactly the same reaction as you did! totally agree with your description.

Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews thanks for the reply sebastian

Great video and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try these fragrances and have a blessed day
I love santal 33 but want something even fresher for summer so thanks for this video!
Have the santal 33 for a while and very happy with it.
Great compliment getter and lasts very long imo
But bought the Dunhill for 27€ just curious
Thanks for this! Your description of Dunhill century just made me blind bought it haha
Lol i did too. Love it! Such a good balance between fresh and creamy
The LV collection is love..I love all 6 of them♥️..santal I am definitely going to buy...my eye was already over it..
Santal 33 is one of the best sandalwood Sir. Thanks for the review. Another wonderful fragrance is Ralph Lauren Safari.

What about Santal Insolent by Molinard, is it close to Santal 33?
I love the sandal wood note present in Bois du Portugal.
I got a sample of Le Labo Santal 33 (per your and Dalya's recommendations) and I really like it! Not sure if I'll do the full bottle. Love dunhill century edp
Like century more than the icon series
Its now a constant in my spring/summer/ early autumn line up

Me too. Picked this up in Heathrow last month. I don't think it will work until the spring or summer though.
I feel like every cool art girl I know wears santal 33! I was introduced to it by a friend & art school
Yeah I hate it too. Smells like pickle juice.
I'll get a sample again at some point, give it another shot (haven't smelled it in a few years).
Ha! Pickle juice, I like that. Cucumbers, pickles yes I get it makes sense! :)
Its dunhill suitable for women?
If you had a choice between dunhill century or sjp stash? Which will you choose?
I ordered Century before the video could finish. Thanks for the review.
These are reviews for men’s fragrances, Santal 33 is worn by women too. I’d love to hear a review for a similar women’s fragrance
I blind bought Dunhill Century as soon as it came out and i love it. Like you, i dont understand the lack of interest in it. You're the expert.. tell me.. What is that spree or sweettart note I get out of it? i love it..
That might be the neroli. Guessing but that's what it sounds like! As neroli seems to be sweet and tart floral note to me! :)
i have the travel tube of this, and my skin eats the woody notes up! I cant detect it at all, and to me it just smells so sweet and powdery and creamy. i dont know how to feel about that lol
What’s the best Santal 33 dupe?
I have a difficult time with Santal 33.
I am a big fan of Alfred Dunhill's products .. real English style l 😎
I liked the opening of Santal 33, but the drydown is awful on me. Test test test.
I don’t hate and don’t love Santal 33. I love Another 13 from Le Labo. Santal 33 is like a clunky version (much like Burberry Her)- something about it just not smooth
Most of le labo scents weren't for me , I should revisit them just as you did and see if anythings changed.
Oud 27 however. That's all me 😈
Robert Quinlan oud 27 rocks

Really sad because I really miss the smell of sandalwood from India
LOVE Santal 33 and, as many have noted, really sparked my interest in fragrances. I will have to check out the LV and Dunhill.
Good review boss.
Thank you for this awesome video!
After watching hours of your videos, I must ask, if you had to choose one perfume for life, which one would you choose? 😜
The Dunhill fragrance costs $80 in 75 ml. Still cheaper than Le Labo though.
I don't have a Le Labo shop near me even while living in the second biggest city of Germany. But I am really interested in trying Santal 33. I did my research and someone told me Clean Reserved in Sel Santal is a dupe. Is this true?
Never tried the other unfortunately! :(
You’ve sold me on the Dunhill. Diptyque’s TAM DAO
diptyque has several solid perfumes
Santal 33 I smelt it years ago and suddenly reminded of it by smelling it on someone just recently then got my self a bottle after having tried it on my skin for about 45min. I have to say its really intoxicating and I love it but its does gives me a a little nausea lol even with just one spray to front of the neck.

I bought Laurel from Comme des Garcons and I love the fragrance. You should sample it.
I just bought it as well LOL.
A cheaper alternative that i use in place pf Santal 33 is Maison Louis Marie.

Holy Hell, Sebastien! How did you wear that much of Dunhill Century!? You must be decanting your bottles or using them as air fresheners.
As a person raised by hippies, intellectuals, and yogis, Le Labo’s take on sandalwood appeared tone deaf and I’m still not on board.
