Revisiting this video in June 2021 - when I first tried the entire Le Labo line back in 2019, the only scent I could tolerate was fleur d’ orangeur and maybe bergamot. Everything else felt off putting , medicinal and unpleasant to me. However after an entire year of crazy perfume sampling during quarantine my taste of smell evolved and I now appreciate most of the line and find them quite pleasant , complex and sophisticated in an understated manner ( the $400 Tshirt analogy is great ) . Really love The Noir, Lys, Bergamot and Neroli.
The Queen Of Fragrance!!!!! Love The Passion You Have For This. I Have Spent More Money On Samples Watching You Than Anyone.. Thank You 🙏🏾 Also Best Dressed.
OMG you are the best reviewer! Rose 31 smells like armpit on me and I didn’t understand the hype so Thank you for explaining why 😭😭😭 Another 13 smells like baby powder ☹️ I love the noir 29 it’s really my favorite of the line 😘
They house is one that I really don't get along with , oud 27 however is one I really enjoy from them although I think like the house as a whole it's overpriced. 🍀 Great to hear your thoughts on so many
Hi Robert, I understand what you're saying. Personally I really like Oud 27 - it's just not for everyone, so I left it out. Maybe I'll do an overlooked Le Labo's video lol.🌹Xo Sam
Is funny that the main reason I never felt interested in making that investment is because w was working in a high end hair salon 9 out of 10 customers were wearing Santal 33 and the other one BR540 so I said thank you next 😂
I still wear Santal. I can’t help it. It’s so good. It’s gotten better after I’ve had it for 5 years. I also like Bergamot - that’s my next one. Good reviews! Thank you!!
I remember accumulating lots of hotel Rose 31 shampoos, body wash and lotions because I loved them, but strangely have never gotten around to smelling the actual perfume! Great video thanks Sam!
That’s a perfect summary of their image 😂🤣. I’ve had 4-5 samples and Santal 33 for awhile and just can’t get into even trying them. Eventually I will. I have tried Santal 33 and find it just barely leans masculine. Can’t put my finger on which note says that to me. But vetiver tends to lean my scale masculine.
Interestingly enough, Santal 31 was one of my last Le Labo purchases BUT Le Labo was my first Niche Houses. Their Vetiver offering was my first purchase, followed by their Patchouli , Bergamote and Tabac 23 then Santal. In early 2021, I purchased Benjoin 19 BUT I just began wearing it as a nighttime scent this week. OMG! This was one truly evolves on my skin: beginning with a sweet amber accord and ending with a smoky/incense vibe!😍 Yup, as my first Niche House, Le Labo will always have a special spot in my heart!
I love the quality of le labo. Another 13 is an interesting one. When I spray it does not seem powerful on my skin but to my surprise hours and days later the performance is very strong on my skin. I do understand it works with chemistry but for me I was very surprised. The scent is even nicer on my clothes days later. I do like sandal 33 opening note ( smell) but Another 13:stay on my clothes for long time. The magazine freshness Smell my closet smell brand new lol. Thank you for your review
That voice girl!!! I love another 13 it has such a beautiful scent trial I need to dig the house more I’ve tried Bergamot 22 and was not impressed by it
I work with a surgeon that wears Santal 33 in the OR and it is so offensive to everyone. Now I know why it is amplified : ambroxan (just like his super loud Drake on his Bose lol) That scent turns me right off lol.
I was not so interested in Le Labo before I discovered ‘Another 13’! I has become one of my signature scents! Since then I have tried more of Le Labo and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Surprisingly enough, Santal 33 is not my cup of tea even if it is so popular. So I do not understand what this hype is all about 😜 however, I might need to experiment with Santal 33 more, especially in summer. ☀️ Sam, I would be definitely interested in more reviews about this house. What are your top 3 from Le Labo and why?
Cool! Another 13 would be a great signature. I don't get the full hype with Santal to be honest either.. but I do really like Maison Louis Marie's No.04 - I find it to be very similar, but somehow classier, less rough around the edges. I didn't even mention all of my favorites, so maybe I'll do that in the future. I'm usually drawn to the opposite of crowd-pleasing. Thanks for watching! 🌹Xo Sam
@@MyWorldofFragrance When I have a chance, I will check Marie’s no. 4. Thanks for sharing! Another 13 is nice, bc after a while you do not smell it yourself but others do and very well! 😉 It would be interesting to find out your other favorites from the house! Hopefully in the future! ❤️
Great overview mate, I know they get a lot of love but non have really appealed to me, but I don't think I'm really the target audience. Fab video as ever
Cumin always smells like an armpit on me - an armpit, synthetic shirt after HITT! For some reason, I am not intrigued yet to try this house, maybe because of exactly how you described it. I would love to see a review on the famous Patchouli 24 though (;
I tried Santal 33, Another 13, Labdanum 18 and Ylang 39. Ylang 49 was my favorite out of those. I haven't had good experiences in their shops, the sales associates were unnecessarily pretentious esp given the products. As a marketing professional, how do you feel about their branding? The whole schtick of "making the perfume" in front of you seems misleading given they are simply diluting the concentrates. Undoubtedly, the simplicity of the brands is influential and groundbreaking. I know a few houses cite their marketing strategy as an influence like Parle Moi Parfum.
Ah, that's a shame about their sales assistants. I actually have had a similar experience myself at their counter - not overly friendly staff. I think their branding is pretty on-point, as much of their success can be attributed to them sticking to the theme from packaging to product. I think people have been eating it all up, but they will most likely have to rebrand at some point as it will get old. 🌹Xo Sam
I used to go to one of their stores all the time to buy samples. The main sales associate was attentive but neutral with me, until one time she gave me two on the house. I know in some stores the samples are always free, but it still made my day 😬
I think my favorite is Labdanum 18, which I will get one day. For me sntal 33 smells too much like cucumber, but maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance..
It smelled like that to me first too. Then after a few months of exploring many scents it became my fav and now le lavo is probably my fav house . Haven’t come across a scent that I don’t dig yet from their 5 scent discovery collection except for The Noir is a bit too weird but I love that too and know it’ll grow on me
Lys 41 is my favorite. I love it even though I don't particularly love tuberose heavy fragrances. Santal 33 smells like pickles. I do not like it and I do not like leather in my fragrances.
I am wondering if you have ever tired or own any of the city collections. I know they are only available in September but I'd be curious to know your thoughts on those as well.
Yes, I have tried a few, but I didn't want to get into them as they're exclusive. Maybe I'll pick one for a future review. Thanks so much for watching. 🌹Xo Sam
I really like Bergamote 22 and Rose 31. I'd love to dig out my Rose 31 sample and try it again but I have Corona and can't smell anything. I even put on some vintage Kouros and can barely smell it. I've been watching perfume videos on UA-cam all day to pass the time.
My favourite from the line is Rose 31, so so beautiful. Santal was a total miss for me, the smell of this perfume actually makes me a bit sick. But both Oud and Patchouli are great fragrances, better suited for a mote outdoorsy lifestyle, they smell a bit like campfire and wood, but really nice.
Another 13 is totally overhyped. Top notes are difficult, dusty and dull. Dry down is great though, iso e super and Ambroxan. Not a Parfums Overdose is a lot crispier, fun and obviously more linear, not to mention a lot cheaper.
Only one I own is poivre 23. Need to try gaiac 10 as sounds like it could also be up my alley. I think le labo and byredo have a very similar aesthetic.
Ordered a sample of this. I'm afraid it might still be a bit to spicy for me despite the vanilla and the sweet notes it has. I usually like more sweet scents. My fav ever is still la vie e belle by lancome which should tell you I like sweet haha. Hope I like this sample though as it does seem to have a very interesting mix of notes.
Hello friend, @ 0.23 - 0:39 💀 I’ve tried nothing from this house, but curious to know your thoughts on labdanum 18. You didn’t include your ranking system for this video, so I shall infer you’re not keen on them.
Thank you for your suggestion, I will try to do that. I don't have a ranking system for the video actually, I'm just providing different popular options. My personal ranking would look different, but my taste isn't for everyone.🌹Xo Sam
As a Rose fragrances lover, I loathe Rose31 because of that awful cumin note - definitely sweaty armpit on me... if only that cumin note worked. Otherwise - not a fan of this “hipster” brand
Santal 33 grew on me. When I first sampled it I was thinking this smells like a strong cucumber juice and I hated it. But then I kept sampling it and grew to love it. It’s easily in my top 5 now and I love wearing it on job interviews or presentation days at work. Adds to confidence. Another 13 is also very nice. Very work appropriate Rose 31 not a fan.
Haha, I think that's what happened to me too with Santal 33. The first time trying it was a no. Another 13 would make a lovely signature scent. 🌹Xo Sam
You are amazing, Sam!!! Thank you for granting my request to have a review for this house. Much love ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!! I hope you enjoyed it 🌹Xo Sam
OMG I’m not even a minute in and I’m cracking up at your synopsis of Le Labo.
Haha! 🌹Xo Sam

Le Labo is my favorite house and Ylang 49 is my signature scent! Thank you for the review!
Thanks for sharing! That's a great choice. 🌹Xo Sam
Hi beautiful Sam🥰. The only I have tried form this house is Santal 33. I did like it but never thought to purchase it. Great video as always❤🙏🏽
Thank you Rosie, I don't see you as a Santal gal either. Perhaps Jasmin or Lys, maybe even Another 13 would be up your alley. 🌹Xo Sam
Interesting review because of the brief history at the beginning
Excellent review/overview of Le Labo, Sam. Please keep up the work, 🙏🏾. Thank you for sharing as always 😘
Thank you! I shall try my best 🌹Xo Sam
I love how you describe the crowd who's into Santal 33. Hysterical!! And so incredibly spot on.
Hi Sam.. You’ve chosen my SOTD - the Noir.. a masterpiece in my opinion.
Great to hear that, Timothy. And it only gets better with time. 🌹Xo Sam

Ah I can see how that would be offensive. It really is a fragrance I wish people would spray less of lol. 🌹Xo Sam
Great video, Sam! Another 13 is my favorite.
Thank you! Nice! 🌹Xo Sam
Thé Noir sounds really nice; I do love a good tea perfume. 🍵 💋
Ah yes, and this is a sexy tea in my humble opinion. 🌹Xo Sam
Great overview, Sam! I have their discovery set but still haven't gone through it. Need to try these out soon.
Thanks Tara, they need downtime to appreciate I found :) 🌹Xo Sam
I'm yet to gel with this house. Thank you for sharing this, looking fabulous as always ♥️
Thanks so much, Miya. I'm not quite sure you would like them, but worth a try. 🌹Xo Sam

Great and thorough review! Although I’m not a huge fan of Le Labo. I’ve never found one that I liked enough to buy.
Try Le Labo City Collection only available in the month of September.

Rose 31 is one of my favorite perfumes.
Yay, nice one! 🌹Xo Sam

I would love to hear thoughts on your recent Maison Crivelli discovery set. Big fan from Aus xxx

Really want to sample Santal 33 just to see what the buzz is about 🤍
Hm yes, you may aswell, but I'm sure you've smelled it around already. 🌹Xo Sam

Ooo, love that! 🌹

Ylang 49 is a beefy powerful Noir de Noir, i swear

Only fragrance I like (of the 10 or so I've tried from the house) is Rose 31.
I LOVED that fragrance. Unfortunately it's been reformulated 😖
Oh nice. Yes it has, hasn't it? I got an old bottle I believe.🌹Xo Sam
How about Iris 39? I love that one.
That one's less popular so I didn't include it, but I like it! 🌹Xo Sam
