I just want to say, you don’t have to explain to anyone painting furniture. Even if it is a “real” antique. I get so weary of the wood idolizers. Value is in enjoying a piece and it serving a purpose for the owner. You do you, girl. Furniture is your canvas and you make beautiful art from furniture.

@@sambally3684 I always prep my pieces the same way and if there is a shine I scuff sand, I always “over prep” if that’s even such a thing :)
People can’t get the fact that if u choose a forniture for your home, it must match with all the ambient, design and what you need from yourself!!

I have a beautiful marble topped victorian dresser in my bathroom for storage for toilet paper, etc. For years 2 drawers didn't fit right and stuck out until I realized I had them in wrong! Lol

Thank you! Teaching us if it is a repro or an antique! I have a piece of furniture with different woods and the mirror that attaches only works with two distinctly different screws. I love it. I have a wall unit that is just not great. If there is any moisture the whole thing will warp. kinda sorta like particle board. I'm TRYING to gather the courage to refinish it! I really like it for practical purposes. THANK YOU! B~}

Since I'm a super novice, I like these basic blending tutorials. I don't know why people feel free to lecture others on anything, especially what they do with their own property. If I feel like burning my furniture in a campfire to roast marshmallows, I'll do it. S'mores anyone?

I have been watching your blending videos (along with others) so that when I am ready to do my old grandmothers cedar chest she left me, I will have the knowledge I need.
I am planning on leaving this chest to my grandson so I want it to have a funky witchy hippie vintagey vibe to it!
Also plan on adding some vines, branches, leaves and flowers appliqués.

Hi Crys'Dawna- how glad am I to have stumbled across this and many of your teaching videos recently. The ease in which you explain highly advanced paint techniques gives us hope me might be able to attempt the same as well. I'm not a big commenter on videos (but like, bookmark & subscribe often) but you mentions a hateful comment on your recent bedside table for your hubby in a bright green. I am trying to gather the reason for even commenting negatively. I do not like many combinations I see online but I love the ability to watch and learn how two or more impossible mismatched shades can blend and do so impressively using a good technique. In fact my mind has been change a dozen or more times in terms of using colours outside of my comfort space. I salut your amazing channel of work....a fan

I have a burl walnut China cabinet and just because the wood is so pretty and expensive I left it, if there is not attractive wood even it is an antique I see nothing wrong with paint, (done right).
