I just realized that what they meant by 'watch for snipers on thermal' is they're looking for Archer and Toad (the snipers who supported you throughout the mission) so they can kill them too. Then a few seconds later, the radio says, "all targets destoyed." RIP to the both of them as well.
Fun fact: It was also in the original radio chatter if you listen closely

The way Ghost screamed "no" will always hurt me. Think about it, he had just desperately dragged his injured best friend through a field of mortar strikes and advancing enemy troops. He helps Roach stand up and believes they're finally safe, and then at that moment of relief he witnesses his friend getting shot right in the chest. The surprise, desperation, and shock that you hear all at once is gut wrenching
All that anxiety and surprise with that "No" is then silenced almost instantly at the sound of a .44 Magnum going off point blank in Ghost's abdomen. Instant death.

I literally commented this in another video HAHA, like man, is so much like you can imagine him saying "... Why?..." While he grabs it
I think what makes this scene a lot better. Is how Ghost puts two and two together, when it comes to Shepard saying "Good, that's one more loose end". He does a glance at Roach and snaps back to Shepard realizing what he is going to do, but sadly he was too late on the draw.
They were already done, anyway. Even if Ghost managed to kill Shepherd, there were literally zero escape. Shadow Company soldiers were already around them, not mentioning the attack choppers and such in an open field. Even if they hijacked the helicopter Shepperd was in, they'll just be shot down.

I like this detail. Modern Warfare Remastered was full of little additions like that. That's how remakes should be made, there's always something you can improve, and not just overall graphics.

I was 13 when I experienced this scene and I will carry it for the rest of my life... So much shock and so much heartbreak, I would not wish the pain on even my most hated emime
Little details I noticed during pre-mission cutscenes:
When the Image Database System (aka the HUD in seen in the cutscenes) changes colour depending on what database it is.
Rangers is yellow.
141 is blue.
CIA is red.
Another detail when it changes is that the outline where the small faction logo goes changes depending on the shape of the logo.
The Rangers logo outline is a curved box.
The 141 logo is a circle.
Everyone upset that Ghost dies but no one cares about poor Ozone and Scarecrow :(

ActuallyAtlas Didn't they both get overrun in the original? And if you try to save them, Ozone would get shot by a sniper while Scarecrow would be blasted by mortar fire, both of which are scripted.

Everyone being like: I hate Sheperd even more, he doesn't show any remorse.
His facial expression just before shooting Roach shows disgust to me. Like, he's forcing himself to do it, but you can see he clearly doesn't want to.
And when Roach grabs his arm, he doesn't pull it away immediately. He freezes for a millisecond, before looking at Roach for a second, then AGAIN he does this "hardcore" face, and pulls his arm away.
For me it clearly shows Sheperd isn't heartless nor enjoyed doing this and have regrets.

Idk, the animations look unfinished to me. Specifically at 16:37 you can see clipping and awkward movement. Also, I don't like Shepherd's redesign, he looks really cartoony, almost like a Pixar character or something.

You know what’s more sad? They never got a proper burial or funeral and they just disappeared to ashes right there with nothing of them left to recover
There was no way preventing it, even when Roach was fast enough to grab the gun and shoot him Shepherd would grab his arm and say “friendly fire will not be tolerated”.
And I thought they couldn’t make shepherd even more hateable but that hand grab says otherwise

I really love small details they added into this remaster.
The small hand grab from Roach, and Makarov pointing at you in No Russian, saying “THAT was a message.”
Subtle gestures like that are actually making this purchase worth it.
There’s also the one we’re ghost was confused when Shepard says “good THATS one loose end”
Roach has at least some willpower from that hand grab to stop Shepherd even if it's too late... Also he's still alive as you can see in that scene...
This scene made me hate Shepherd even more. Even though Roach was shot by Shepherd, he still held Shepherds arm, which was like a way of asking Shepherd “Why did you do this?” and then Shepherd yanks his hand away in disgust.
Nah you don't get sympathy from Roach he grabbed Shepard's arm to say you aren't getting away with this
He looked like he did slightly regret it. He took a moment before his entire face changed and he yanked his hand away.

When I played this mission years back it didnt felt as emotional, probably because I was full of adrenaline playing on veteran mode. Watching this now, all the emotions that I should have had back then came back twofold.
