For reference, the brass body models all have a 1 in the Yanagisawa numbering. For example AWO1 and AWO10 (these used to be the A901 and A991 respectively). The bronze body models have a 2 in the numbering; AWO2 and AWO20 (A902/A992 previously).
There's not really a better or worse, it's really down to your own preferences based on the type of sound you are trying to produce and the resonance you like to feel.
Simon Bates is the best. In 30 seconds he captures the essence of each saxophone, with each note he adjusts improvisations to suit the instrument, and presents it audibly, with excellent explanation afterwards. No one else does it so succinctly. Thank you Dawkes.
I own a TWO2, and it plays great. The sound seems to pop out of the horn with clarity and overtones. It responds well. I've owned a The Martin 50s vintage. It was stolen...what a horn that was too. Had a Selmer VI, but it turned out to be a lemon. Had two repairmen work on it in Boston and could not make it play well. It could have been the neck, but I sold it and will never know. Owned a Couf Superba I great sound but was flat in the left hand palm keys. Again, repairmen could not get the pitch up. Owned a SA80 Selmer for 30 after that and it was a great sounding and playing horn, but after comparing this TWO2 to it for 6 months I sold it as well. Not bad mouthing Selmer, my alto is a 62 VI and it's the best I've played. Anyone looking for a well built sax would do themselves a favor to at least try a bronze Yani. I've had it two and a half years now and it has the most fun playing horn I've owned. I've owned a few...nice video comparison.

Don't want to be a smartass, but the comments on the material is not entirely correct. Brass is Copper and Zink (CuZn) whereas Bronze is Copper and Tin (CuSn). Bronze contains at least 60% copper, Brass min 50%. So the comment on a higher copper content is generally correct. But typically there are also other metals involved so I firmly believe that Yanagisawa did a lot of research on the composition and found their magic formula. Bronze is harder than Brass, not sure though if this is the main property to determine sound.

For my ears the brass sounds more consistent across the octavs; with the bronze I got a sense of a bit lost focus in the lower octave accompanied with slightly pinched or nasal sound... (listening through decent headphones).
I don't know if any one else feels the same about Yammies in that I feel they err on the bright side. Though with the 875 "less" so than the other models (e.g. 52, 82Z). Not uncomfortably but if I had to nitpick...more so than the Yanagisawa's I've heard (played by different players using different mouthpieces/reeds, room acoustics...).
I suppose too that if the buyer is using the sax live in a band they would want this. in their sax...though, of course we can adjust the sound with the mouthpiece...if we wanted more brightness/growl or darkness.
But, if you're learning and playing only for yourself...then perhaps Yamaha might not be the right brand.
Love to see you compare the 875 tenor to the Yanagisawa W02 using a "dark" sounding mouthpiece like the Theo Wanne Ambika then using their SHIVA...would pairing the SHIVA and the 875 be "too bright"? Even for live settings? On even the alto 875? Maybe do a 3-way comparison...adding the Keilwerth MKX alto and tenor...
for me the quintessence od difference was when Simon said: the bronzeone is for a Paul Desmond sound, the brassone is for a David Sanborn sound.

Generally speaking, bronze is an alloy of copper and tin. There are some alloys of bronze such as phosphor bronze which I believe is used for manufacture of instruments that contain some zinc as well so that might be the source of confusion. Do you know what alloy is used for each horn?
The Awo 2 bronze is made from phosphorus bronze which usually has as much of 92% copper mix. The alloy being tin. Phosphorus could be between 0.3 to 2%.
I am in market for Tenor. So for soft mallow sound it’s Bronze else brass is great
I've heard some good things, mainly from classical players, about Yanigasawa! Neither of you seem as fired up about these horns, as you do Yamaha. I'm a Yamaha person, but I am curious about Yanigasawa!

What would you guys reccomemd for classical music? What type of yanigasawa? I enjoy the sound of yamaha 875, but looking to get yanigasawa. So for Solo performances like weddings, church events, street performance, etc? Thank you in advance!
Hi Oleg - It does depend on your set-up and preference, but we generally feel the bronze model Yanagisawa's tend to work best for classic playing. So, the WO20 or WO2. If possible, try and play them all to compare :)

To my ear the bronze is slightly "darker". Super close though.
On my iPad Mini speakers I don’t hear any difference. Is one heavier or more more delicate than the other?

I know that the TW01 Saxophone is brass and the TW02 Saxophone is Bronze but what is the actual difference between the TW01 and TW010

Rib construction as opposed to post to body. Also the underslung octave key and more cosmetic features. The TW01 is lighter because it is post to body as opposed to rib construction. I own a TW01 and I love it.
