🇨🇳 many Chinese believe I am paid by the Americans,
🇺🇸 many Americans believe I am paid by the Chinese.
All these people have been clearly brainwashed by their own media,
and they are not able to think for themselves.
Liking or disliking an aspect of a country,
doesn't mean being paid by any of their governments.
When I was making a positive video in Philadelphia 🇺🇸
I didn't show the negative aspects of the city.
Why should I show the negative aspects of a random city
in China if the theme of the video is positive?
My channel is my life experiences.
    Sometimes they are positive,
    and sometimes they are negative.
Liking or disliking an aspect of a country,
doesn't mean being paid by any of their governments.
    If you don't appreciate honesty,
look at yourself in the mirror
and figure out what is wrong with you.

    Goodbye China, it was nice.
Now let's start the Vietnam series!

I was watching your first vlogs from China and honestly I had impression that you were invited here by China tourist/propaganda company. It was because you always were with 2 Chinese girls + there was one more english speaking vloger with you. I am looking forward to your Vietnam vlogs coz its more my cup of tea. Concerning China I didn't watch all your vlogs but I can imagine you were impressed with this country. I personally visited Hong Kong and China in 2004. I was invited there by Microsoft and I had occasion to visit several China cities and companies and it was eye opening for me how well China was developed. I had chance to compere these China tech companies to mine and it was no compression to be honest. It was almost 20 years ago so I can only imagine how it can look today. Powodzenia w Wietnamie!

As a subscriber of yours for many years, I have followed you through numerous countries around the world. Europe, central and South America, Asia, and Africa. NEVER, have I seen you dealing with a situation such as this, that you recently encountered in China, with this A-Hole of a landlord. I also find it interesting that the contract you signed with the agency, so conveniently could not be found! I’m inclined to think that this landlord was doing some dealing under the table. I do understand that as a foreigner, and not speaking the language created barriers for yourself to deal solely with this situation. Thankfully, your Chinese friend has stood by your side, and helped you to retrieve that two hundred dollars! For what it’s worth, I hope this friend of yours can spread the word about this jackass landlord, so that other future travelers will avoid this place. I also realize that this landlord does not reflect all landlords in China, because you’ll find the same type of crooks here in the USA. Not a fun experience for you this time around, but another chapter to add in your autobiography! Be well and remain positive! 👍💯⭐️👏😁

@@KenWiggerAnotherAncientGamer Michele was indeed pissed. Were it myself, I would have been much worse. Being a foreigner and not speaking the language put him at a great disadvantage. Yes, he did have the option to contact Alex, yet thankfully his female friend, who he never named did manage to get him that deposit back, along with a bit more (so he claimed). If we ever go to China, take into consideration that there are many bridges to cross on the way to the Hilton. Careless and unfortunate accidents do happen in life. Just saying!

The only negative experience for us in our twenty-day stay was in Chongqing. In our hurry we picked the wrong kind of taxi and after boarding we noticed that his meter was running fast. It was not the usual green or black taxi and when we informed that to the driver, he started to get belligerent. It was our fault, this guy unlike the rest was standing at the door of the mall entrance peddling his taxi. Halfway down when my wife told him to let us down so we could take another taxi he started getting loud. One word silenced him and that was when my wife, through our translator app, mentioned POLICE. He went quiet as a mouse and dropped us near our hotel, but he wouldn't go to the hotel entrance in fear of getting reported. Contrary to our expectation with cops elsewhere, the POLICE still have respect.

I booked a room for 1, 5 months and I asked the owner if it's fine to pay half of the second monthly rent, so I don't need to book 2 months (that would be cheaper), so he could rent out this room. In the end he pretended that he didn't understand me and I had to pay waaay more than for 2 months. i was so angry! also my place had no bed & sheets when I arrived and no heating for 3 days and it was -10°C outside 😅

Landlords like that exist everywhere,i am very surprised you have stayed so composed during your travel in China even when facing such situation for such prolonged time.I think Japan is better for rentals, especially agencies in there, you would never face things like that. That landlord was obsessed with his financial reasons.Thats why i try to rent hotel at all times, but sometimes apartments if you stay for like 2 montths is really nice.About brainwashing thing, let those idiots be where they want to be.They are attention whores,so try to avoid and i know how hard it is to not pay attention to such people.Hopefully Vietnam would serve you better.I have learnt from your experience Michele, thanks a lot of posting such honest video.I have been to Vietnam last year for a week and i really liked Da Nang.May your trips gonna be blessed in Vietnam, but bad experiences in China exist for good experiences in Vietnam. So thats why i know Vietnam would be better,if not the best.

    1. 1550rmb/month is pretty cheap for rental fees in ChongQing and even so considering the building compound is beautifully located. It’s not a premium premium price. With low rental fees, you should have few expectations.
    2. Usually the tenants should maintain the cleanliness of the house. If the living room and public toilet are not clean, you should talk with your roommates to do some regular cleaning work.
    3. Isn’t it a norm in everywhere that you should clean the room before moving out? You are from Europe, I think you know it.
    4. In China, a lot of people don’t sign rental contract, but rent the room by oral agreement.
    5. You complain a lot since you entered China. I think you should stay in your comfort zone, you are not qualified as a low-budget traveler.
    6. If you don’t move out timely, who will compensate the landowner’s loss for not being able to rent the room to next potential tenant? You only consider your own interests, not others.

Michele, I suggest you try to visit the Philippines where foreigners from all continents flock because of our extreme hospitality. We will definitely welcome you like a member of our own biological family. 95% of Filipinos can speak English from the basic to the most fluent. Although some speak grammatically incorrect, but everyone can understand you and may be able to communicate even in their simplest way.

    我在意大利米兰租房子,遇到两个意大利房东找各种借口不退押金,非常恶劣,恶心。

You look very unhappy and tired. You should go to Southeast Asia for a vacation and relax.

Sorry you had to go through this. But one thing is universal. There are A-holes everywhere in the world. With that said I think that China is not on my list of places to travel. It just seems that their general isolation from the rest of the world in terms of day to day life, make it pretty difficult as an independent traveler.
