It’s very interesting watching you get established in China, I’m lucky my wife is Chinese I’m from Australia and we have only just moved apartments recently so I appreciate what you went through getting an apartment. A little tip the same thing with your electricity going off can happen to your water and gas.BTW your youth and adventure will get you through any problems you find.
I've heard that rental housing for young Chinese people is becoming very popular, whilst also being actively encouraged by the government. Is this true? High housing costs puts people off getting married and having kids. Low cost rental housing seems to be a good solution!
Congratulations (you) love birds ! 😊 By the way, my favorite episode is "... High Tea in China" - so peaceful! Expecting more beautiful videos from you guys. (-Your Canadian viewers 😁)
This almost looks like Qingdao. I'm also in the apartment search as I'm arriving back in Qingdao, and it looks like you two likely have the same budget (3500-6000rmb/month), am I right? Good luck in the new apartment.
Glad you guys have navigated the process of getting a place. It might have been easier to ask help from your local friends to screen for you and make a few recommendations first, since there would be too many options.
I will be going back to China to work few months later, and I will definitely have to experience the same thing as you. The good thing for me is that I can speak Chinese, the bad thing is that I will be doing all of these alone.
As a Chinese person, I have to say some of the realtors in China these days are just shockingly unprofessional. They used to dress up in suits and tell you all the information in advance and everything. These days, it’s just a young person showing up dressed for as if they have come from a bar, knowing nothing and just sits around playing the phone when we are viewing. I know the job market is tough for everyone and he/she is probably not happy with the job, but please show some professionalism!!
Congrats on the moving, Lauren and Alex.
All the best to your new life in your the new apt. ❤
Thank you so much!

Happy moving Alex and Lauren. You’re doing what tons of millions of other newly wed Chinese couples are doing to set up a nest. Enjoy!
Thanks so much! :)

恭喜,新家生活愉快🎉
谢谢你 😁
By the way getting an ayi/maid/household help is quite easy and inexpensive in China. Some can bring their supplies and tools.
Congratulation on moving to new home. haha
Thanks so much!

When we were livin in Tianjin, in 2018, trust me on this, getting a comfortable apartment was a real hustle for us as international students😅
