The album 'Passport' was an international bestseller, and her voice, to my young ears, seemed to contain something that undefinable, but magical and spiritual. Now, years later, Nana's voice transports me back to my childhood, to feelings of innocence and joy. Long may she sing in our hearts.
Discovered her in a record store around 1976 in San Francisco . It was playing throughout the store. Fell in love with her voice. Ran a little cafe and we played her music softly during dinner. Big hit!
My wife and I listen to all of Nana's recordings almost every day, and sometimes we put on a CD at bedtime, when we just want to hear her beautiful voice as we go to sleep. We were lucky to see her perform twice in the United States.
Thanks to you tube we get the chance to see these clips - I have loved Nana for all my life but this sort of recording is her at the best that we all keep in our hearts

Nana Mouskouri's renditions of these songs was haunting and very moving. Neil Young's After The Gold Rush: Nana Mouskouri brought the song to life. Day Is Done (Mon Enfant) Nana put her special touch on the song.
