I would agree with most of the list. I would rate nearby Milngavie better than Bearsden. Although attractive places, Melrose, Dunkeld and Dunblane are small enough for all the inhabitants to know most of the other people who live there; something I would find a bit irritating. I would have thought some towns in East Fife might be worth a shout, although I know that St Andrews is expensive for property prices.
Good video, nicely compiled. As others have mentioned it is handy to know that in Scotland we pronounce "burgh" as "bur- ah " . . . handy to know if you need to ask for directions.
Helensburgh has an `H` on the end of it and its pronounced as `Helens - BURRA` NOT HELENSBURG. I wish people would at least try to get place names correct. At the 1:01 mark, i stopped watching as i don`t wish to hear anymore butchering of our place names.
Oh gosh I think it's really frustrating when the people who come up with these lists actually haven't done proper research and can't pronounce the very first place name on the video.
Why is a picture from Los Angeles of a Melrose Avenue street sign in your video of Scotland? That Melrose Avenue street sign is in Los Angeles CA USA...not in Scotland.
Don't you just hate it when they can't pronounce 'burgh'? I'd have thought there's a good few more candidates too, such as St Andrews, Broughty Ferry, Perth, Peebles, Dunbar... I like North Berwick, but it has next to no ordinary shops in its' high street now, at all!
Sorry to bother you, I'm Trying to be more social and meet new people to share ideas and opportunities with, I'd like to share with you if You don't mind?
I live in the US But I’m tired of it To be honest I want somewhere more mellow and I heard Scotland is very nice country to live and raise a family I told my wife we should visit and if we like it try to give the UK a chance does anyone have any advice if we did move to Scotland I’ve heard mostly good things obviously it has it downs too but I’ve heard many Americans love it when they move there .
As someone who has recently just moved away from Dunblane, nice for a visit but to live no thank you. Full of very entitled residents who blast everything over community Facebook pages. Beautiful backdrop and good schools can’t make up for feeling like you are always under a magnifying glass.
Sorry to bother you, I'm Trying to be more social and meet new people to share ideas and opportunities with, I'd like to share with you if You don't mind?
Very disappointing that although Helensburgh (burra) is stated as included in the Top 8, its pronunciation is abysmal! It is like Edinburgh (pronounced as Edinburra). Research is key.
try pronouncing the names of those towns correctly first before making another video of scottish towns i could not stop laughing at your attempts though good job you did not have strathaven milngavie ecclefechen falkirk ect ect ect

2.24 i could be wrong....pretty sure i'm not.....but that is not Bearsden. Could be the palm trees that give it away :)
