I like this album ❤
LOVE this album. The Only Thing and So Supernatural and Gun are awesome.
Great Album Cover
blue oyster cult are one of my all time favorite bands, and i had no awareness of this release. thanks for the vid!
I agree with everything you said. "twilight of the (old) gods". Thanks for your appraisal of the work. The guys that go to a BOC show for Reaper are probably not going to dig it. And that's ok. But for another chapter in the work of brilliant entertainment, I'm happy i have a hard copy and would love a chance to own the raw jams. Cheers
I haven't bought the album yet, though I have heard a few tracks from it. I think I would have preferred a release of the demos as originally recorded. George Geranios has released other song demos of the band and I found them interesting. It's easy to say that these songs are substandard, but they had a way turning jams like these into substantial songs eventually...but again, I would prefer hearing original recordings as opposed to material AI'd and overdubbed with modern technology.
I'd very much have liked that as well, ideally a package with both versions.
Not very memorable, but it is still pretty good. I like it.
Uh, no. It's pretty obvious why these songs didn't make the cut back in the day. This one falls firmly at the bottom of the catalogue.
I think you are misusing the term Pollyanna-ish. Pollyanna always looked on the bright side of things and tried to inject a positive spin whenever possible.
I think that's how I was trying to use it? I might have been unclear in context.
I heard this album online and it sucks big time
The studio version of 'Kick Out The Jams' peaked my interest , pretty lack luster album from the stella B.O.C . 🪐
