Can't believe my eyes actually get to see this - when I first started listening to the blues in the late 1970's, the existence of videos like this was just a rumor
So true Spoonful. It's great to see and listen to the Chicago bluesmen of that era. On the other hand, it was a hell of a lot easier to see live blues being played back in the seventies.
Not only was I blessed to see them perform in person, but also to know them and drink with them. I played the chittlin circuit off and on with Little Richard's All Stars and Pete "Guitar" Lewis back when I was a youngster. Strange seeing nearly all my friends from back then deceased and I'm still here.
So many memories…to see a youthful Muddy Waters with his “South Side” hair processed into that flamboyant pompadour is so cool. Had the honor of seeing him live….pure magic…
Thanks so much " Bob the Juke" with " Otis Spann - piano and vocals: Muddy Waters - guitar." : magnifiques grandioses bluesmen à toujours 🙋🎼💜🎸🎷 🎻🎹🎺🌺🎧🎼🎩🎩🎩
I don't know if any official lyrics exist in print or online (I couldn't find any). But I've noted what I hear below. There were just a few words I couldn't understand towards the end of Cold Feeling talking about what he promised to the preacher but I believe the rest to be accurate. NOBODY KNOWS MY TROUBLE Nobody knows my trouble people the way I do Yes nobody knows my trouble people the way I do You know I been around the world I done searched it through and through I done seen everything peoples but the bottom of the sea Yes I done seen everything yes but the bottom of the sea Going out with my baby So the little girl can care for me Learned me a lesson peoples everywhere I go Yes you know I learned a lesson peoples everywhere I go That learned me a good lesson You know from runnin' from door to door Nobody loves you baby little girl the way I do Hey nobody loves you baby little girl the way I do As long as you stick with me baby Lord I would love on with you Babe I work for you honey my whole fingers down to the bone Hey little girl I work for you my poor fingers down to the bone As long as you say you miss me women Little girl after I am gone COLD COLD FEELING Got a cold cold feeling just like ice all around my heart Got a cold cold feeling just like ice all around my heart You know you's a sweet little girl But we made such a bad bad start Don't never say I don't care for you I'd give anything in the world for you Don't never say I don't care for you little girl I'd do anything in this big world for you If I could reach the moon honey Little girl I'd bring it back down home to you Little girl when we first got married we promised the preacher we'd be ourselves Remember when we first got married we promised the preacher well you'd just hide me from wrong You know what things done changed now baby Lord you know we made such a bad bad start
that other guitarist playing rhythm is killin. check him out. of course during his solo the avant garde Dane camera man focuses on the summer and the pianist hands. clueless
Absolutely gold! We owe a lot to the afroamerican culture. Greetings from Uruguay!
Pure gold ! Otis was only 40 when he left this world . But what he left was fantastic and uncomparible . R.I.P brother
Você sabe me dizer porque ele morreu tão jovem ???

Otis Spann is one my fav' blues artist. What talented man he was.
Thank you, Hugh Laurie, for introducing me to the great Otis Spann.
You should host a bluesy jazz special for ALLto see and hear.
No one knocks a piano like Mr Spann.
For ever and always....Otis is my all time fave Blues piano player...lost him way too soon...
Robert, Pinetop could play better, but Otis was still a baaaaad, bad mfr though.
Man, that voice and timing, the entire sound. Just magic.
an argentinian girl today knew this artist and definitly becomes a legend who broadened his musical horizons
So many memories…to see a youthful Muddy Waters with his “South Side” hair processed into that flamboyant pompadour is so cool.

I love Spann's singing just as much as his piano playing.
buffalobilly same, exactly people forget that he was a brilliant singer too.
Yeah it's fucking great.
Fantastic! Otis and Muddy - blues doesn't get any better than this
otis playing n singin is amazing
Cgilbert Otis is the one awesome piano player And may God bless his soul
Cgilbert what's his last name
there is an album called The Blues Is Where Its At on ABC/Bluesway that capturses his skill about 1967 with almost this lineup
Might be my favorite Muddy Waters Blues Band lineup ever
This whole set from Copenhagen is unbelievably good. It's on YT somewhere, about 30 minutes long.
A lot of jazz- and blues guys stayed here in Denmark, because they liked the fact that here they were only people and not a color.
It don't get any better than this,:):)
So brilliant the supreme leaders of the blues:):)
С Днём Рождения Отис!
Вечная тебе память

NOBODY KNOWS MY TROUBLE
Nobody knows my trouble people the way I do
Yes nobody knows my trouble people the way I do
You know I been around the world
I done searched it through and through
I done seen everything peoples but the bottom of the sea
Yes I done seen everything yes but the bottom of the sea
Going out with my baby
So the little girl can care for me
Learned me a lesson peoples everywhere I go
Yes you know I learned a lesson peoples everywhere I go
That learned me a good lesson
You know from runnin' from door to door
Nobody loves you baby little girl the way I do
Hey nobody loves you baby little girl the way I do
As long as you stick with me baby
Lord I would love on with you
Babe I work for you honey my whole fingers down to the bone
Hey little girl I work for you my poor fingers down to the bone
As long as you say you miss me women
Little girl after I am gone
COLD COLD FEELING
Got a cold cold feeling just like ice all around my heart
Got a cold cold feeling just like ice all around my heart
You know you's a sweet little girl
But we made such a bad bad start
Don't never say I don't care for you I'd give anything in the world for you
Don't never say I don't care for you little girl I'd do anything in this big world for you
If I could reach the moon honey
Little girl I'd bring it back down home to you
Little girl when we first got married we promised the preacher we'd be ourselves
Remember when we first got married we promised the preacher well you'd just hide me from wrong
You know what things done changed now baby
Lord you know we made such a bad bad start
Thank u so much
🎉ho ho wow❤
Luther Snake Johnson on 2nd guitar, Paul Oscher on harp
Luther could play the shit outta that axe! Muddy always said that next to Walter Paul was his favorite harp player.
Sonny Wimberley (bass), S.P. Leary (drums)
Legends
Great Bob, thanks for share!
Bom demais. maneco - Brasil.

VERY WEL............................
Someone could hep with the lyrics
Please!!
Ryseck1, I know it's 9 months later but I've posted the lyrics to both songs just now. Hope you can find it.
Check muddy one cool dude
that other guitarist playing rhythm is killin. check him out. of course during his solo the avant garde Dane camera man focuses on the summer and the pianist hands. clueless
Plus the sound man buries Otis's piano in the first song completely
I believe muddy is playing rhythm and Luther snake boy Johnson is playing lead
muddy getting 2nd billing here???
Don't you have anything better to do?
guitars walking all over his parade . Can't hear his piano solo for guitar hogs
Sorry but that guitar is very annoying, sound like John Lennon trying to play blues....
Wow...
