Cabbage Patch Kids (1985)

The Cabbage Patch Doll craze was in high gear in the 80s, so Ralston figured it couldn't hurt to license the dolls for a cereal. This stuff wasn't very sweet and kinda bland, but the boxes were lots of fun.

Whatevs - everybody wanted a CPK! Didn’t matter if you were young, old, girl, boy! It was the craze of Christmas 1983! Yeah my brother, sister and me had one. I also collected the garbage pail kid stickers and then moved on to Transformers! I recall one time the garbage pail kid stickers became a problem at school. Too many kids (mostly boys) we’re preoccupied with trading! The memories of being a kid in the 1980’s! Good times!

Yep, this was probably the blandest cereal I ever ate as a kid.
It was pretty on par with Kix and Cheerios trying to be a 'healthy' cereal.
There's a reason why this cereal didn't last very long.

First of all Xavier Roberts cabbage patch kids are not original. The ones made in 1975 by Martha Nelson are the originals. Xavier just stole the idea from her and became rich at her expence.
