After sooooo long and problems filming it's finally time for part 2 of my India haul! This video is all about the things me and my mum got from India when we went in December!! I went a little overboard and had to buy lots for all the weddings I have this year as well as making up for not going to India for 15 years. I get so excited when I get Indian clothes. My mom and I love to shop together for them. In fact, I just got back from India this summer and we had an entire suitcase filled with beautiful cholis, blouses, kurtis, and jewelry/bindis.
I really like your videos because there aren't very many 'western' indians on UA-cam and I really relate to and love your videos. Keep doing what you're doing, you're great at it!

So so beautiful. I am plain old Canadian and grew up with an Indian best friend. Her mother was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen and when she dressed for special events she was breathtaking. I have always wanted to have a few pieces of Indian clothing as there is really no other style of dress as beautifully coloured, intricately worked and more stunningly, purely, flatteringly feminine as Indian women's clothing. Having seen the comments from women who would call me rude for wearing such gorgeous garments, I am so sad. I know cultural appropriation is a huge issue but for me it would cultural appreciation and ideation. It is too bad that some bad folks ruin things for others. I love every piece you chose and you will be sheer perfection in every look. Congratulations on a successful shopping trip!! :)
I love seeing actual Indian people saying that they don't mind people whom aren't Indian wearing their cultures cloths, as long as it's in a respectful way. I have to respectfully disagree. I am an Indian btw. I don't mind when people wear Indian clothing and henna. However, I do believe cultural appropriation exists because I see it whenever girls wear bindis with Western clothing to create a sort of boho-chic style. That sort of thing annoys me. ☺ Just wanted to share my opinion.

Sarees will always be timeless it never goes out of style, if you want to reinvent an old saree that's fine but they never go out of style that's the reason I will never wear any other clothing but ethic wear. 😊.beautiful collection you have created from those sarees love them .love your whole collection. They are all exquisite - I'd love to own any of them! I went to school in Chicago and forever have been in love with Indian culture - especially the food. My roommate Manisha showed me so much and dressed me in a Sari for an Indian event , and for thirteen years my mentor Anila was an Indian Dietitian who taught me all that I know about my profession - I've moved to Alabama now and miss this culture around me terribly - so nice to watch your channel!

This video and the other 101 part was so so so helpful. I'm going to England (from Canada) for a wedding in August. I love how everyone is saying I wish I was Indian and I am Indian and it makes me very happy because I always watch American people's videos and to see like an Indian youtubers is so awesome
Listening to your accent is so endearing because it makes me feel less alone about how westernised mine has become hahaha. I'm a fellow curry, and my traditional curry accent has been almost fully ironed out by Australia. It's sad. My aunties and uncles giggle at me when I'm speaking Urdu or Hindi loool. All that is left of my accent is a sad husk of an accent which I now can only use when I try really hard, so I use to make impressions of my curry relatives :P

Completely agree. Born and Bred in England and I lost the mothertongue (urdu/mirpuri) when I hit full time education. My dad's side of the family are always laughing at the pronunciation/accent added when I attempt to speak the language.

My absolute favorites ...the saree from Kalkifashion, lime green and turquoise saree from friendshipindia and coral red saree with navy blue border which I assume is from bawree? Simply love love love them.

Not to be a hater but as someone who grew up in India and works in fashion, you should have maybe checked out some of the better stores in South Mumbai. The suburbs (North Mumbai like santacruz, parla etc.) have very 'bollywood bling' stuff which is honestly really bad quality and mocked by anyone who grew up in India. The stuff you have is actually quiet dated and a little bit tacky. No one with taste wears this stuff in Mumbai and to be honest we kind of make fun of Indians abroad in their traditional clothes cause most of them have no clue what's current and in trend. They're usually wearing things 2-3 seasons behind.
who cares if the different suits she showed are behind in style, it honestly is all based on opinion and what she defines as beautiful to wear.. you're just being critical for no reason..stick to what you like and back off!!!! stop being so darn judgmental..
