It's actually what put Ateez on the radar as an amazing performance group because of how sick it is! It's not as crazy and experimental as guerrilla and Halazia are (their older music is more subtle) but I think you'll still love it!
Hala Hala is pretty minimalistic in comparison, nowhere near this baroque, but it's quite unforgettable. Its live performances are just insane, there's nothing similar in kpop as far as I'm aware. Forgot to mention - Ateez dropped Hala Hala and Say My Name 3 months after their debut. It was their first ever comeback and I knew as soon as I saw how powerful and charismatic they were in both that they would be a force to be reckoned with. You'll see this as you delve more into their music but they are an incredibly well balanced group.

Hi Guys, Thanks for reacting to Ateez again. Just wanted to point out that Halazia and its MV are a very big part of the Ateez lore. There were a couple of storyline videos that Ateez dropped ahead of Halazia's release that might be helpful in filling you in on the lore for the MV if you want to watch those on your own time. Also, I said this before in the first video you reacted to for Ateez, but this is a highly experimental group whose producers like to do the unconventional. Halazia, as well as Guerrilla, are probably two songs that exemplify this very well. But I think that as you go backwards in their discography to their older music, you will find that experimentation to be much more subtle and their songs a lot more conventional. They're still very interesting and filled with the unexpected but it's not quite as stark as Halazia or Guerrilla. As for next reactions, if you react to Hala Hala I would highly suggest reacting to Say My Name after as they are double title tracks. Say My Name in particular is probably my favorite Ateez song because it's the one that grabbed me by the throat and dragged me kicking and screaming against my will into their fandom. LOL. So glad I decided to stay though 🙂. I love that this group never lets you guess what direction they are going to go in musically. For me as a fan, I have loved that element of surprise. If you want to check out a great b-side in between title tracks, I would highly recommend To the Beat. It's such a fun bop! Hala hala is more like the manly version of Halazia. While Halazia is aesthetically pleasing with many twist, Hala Hala more bold and the dance are as if your life end tommorrow. Both have pleasing dynamics, god tier level vocals-rap-vocals and I believe if that song release now, both of them are the ruler of their song

I listen to A LOT of KPop and while many groups try different genres or styles, they generally stick to a signature sound. ATEEZ has one of the most varied discographies I've ever encountered, in any musical genre.

This became my song of the year from the first listen, it's so freakin good! Had it on repeat for a few days. Loved the start, then the first chorus didn't convince me, but after that I got hooked, it was just so satisfying on the second half, and that epic ending!
