Thank you for another great video. We are trying to get our 2 year old goldendoodle to clean up her toys, but she is only interested in playing and dumping the toys out of the storage bin. We watched the toy clean up video, but any additional help and advice is much appreciated. 🐶💕
Some dogs are much slower to learn that skill than others. If you think it about it there are a lot of smaller skills paired together to get to the finished product of saying the cue "go pick up your toys." It will be important to stay on one of the beginning steps of teaching this skill long enough for your pup to understand what's expected before moving on to the next step. The most common reason a pup has difficulty following a cue is that we went too quickly during the training process and we need to dial way down. In same cases we have to start all over at the beginning. This is what we help our students with, if you'd love more help, lets us know :-)
I have read lavender is toxic to pets. I’m always surprised when I hear otherwise. What evidence do you have that lavender is safe for dogs, especially if ingested?
The lavender plant contains a compound called linalool, which can be toxic to animals like dogs and cats. However, the plant has such small concentrations of linalool that toxicity is not a common issue. The problem happens when dogs ingest an enormous amount of lavender. We suggest lavender in very small quantities as a scent only, not for ingestion.
