My uncle is at this incident spoke to him briefly before he said it's hard going. With them reducing crews. Now are asking Merseyside fire crews to assist
@andrew Hunt not heard anything since. The flames were out when I left at 6pm, just smoking a lot but looked like it could collapse so I'm guessing the fire crews will be there atleast through the night.
Definitely at risk of collapse. The full video I'll post tomorrow shows there's nothing left inside apart from the brick walls. Only takes some wind etc and it'll collapse.
Just out of interest - (I'm a drone flyer - from Fleetwood originally, but now in Australia) - do your UK drone flying rules allow to film such events..?? I can't film anything to do with emergency situations here in Oz..!! Great shots by the way :)
Yup. As long as it's under 250g, we can fly wherever we want as long as it's not in controlled airspace such as near an airport. We have an app we check to confirm the area. Plus, the drone won't take off if it's in restricted airspace. 😀
@@Connors_World True, but a caviat to that is we must not fly if deemed to interfere with emergnecy situations. Given that you were quite a height and distance from the actual fire means you followed this rule 100% and turned out to be great footage.!
Great video, such a shame to see this building on fire yet again. Having lost my father th fire inhalation due to fire, hope nobody was hurt. But nice to see from this perspective. By the way, if you put hashtags in the description box, do so at the very bottom and the first three of all the hashtags (for which you can put as many as you wish) will show up above the title.
Excellent footage Connor, looking forward to the follow up
Someone made sure Hackett's was destroyed 3rd time lucky.
Probably refused the council/government offer to house dingy divers so MI6 sent in the arson squad!
Apparently a resident saw children inside this afternoon. Could be related?
@@mikehipperson MI6 lol, it's been empty for years just like your skull.
Shame on Blackpool Council get a Grip here.
Do we no how the fire started?

I believe they had fire crews coming down the M6 earlier.
Might be worth contacting BAE Warton fire response and see if they could assist, if it still needs assistance maybe?
@@Connors_World anyone know if there's any updates with the fire

Thanq for the video, I wonder where it started & what started it
Very lucky it doesn't look to have spread to other hotels
" Good Drone footage."
Wow lovely footage time to bring it down to rubble
Hope there’s no chance of it falling on the prom. It’ll bugger up a major route if they have to close it until it’s demolished

Hope the local hotels kept the fire fighters supplied with refreshments.

@@Connors_World Soooooo restricted here... I need to come back to Blackpool.!! 😁

@@mananddroneuk what too close to interfere is I’m not sure.
I would say this is about the limit to be fair.

Mmmm I knew I saw a drone 😂 I got some shots with my drone as well.
There was a large commercial drone there but I was using a small DJI mini 3 Pro
Caused by propane gas
Cinlinder not turned off
I bet my last pound they had fire 🔥 insurance
Insurance will only pay out if it wasn’t arson if it was started deliberately get nothing but a rising sentence
Very bad fire there
