Awesome video, I have been dealing with 0 nitrates in my tank despite my heavy feeding I think I might turn off my skimmer it is a little bit big for my tank and I don’t have a lot of fishes

So I just setup a RedSea nano-tank with a nano-skimmer and I am impressed with how much gunk it accumulates. However it seems to need “tweaks” at least once a day. But it came with the tank “for free” 🤪

Adaptive Reef's skimmer comes with them! Haven't seen any made for other skimmers yet.

Great Video! I have a video idea!! how to paint dry rock to look like live rock! ive seen people used plumbers non toxic paint, plumbers primer! but is it safe?

Think about what salt water does to most surfaces, finishes, materials, etc over time. and you'll have your answer.

@@billydanzz almost all the finishes fade or flake over time. The salt and UV is hard on them. That said the good ones last long enoigh that the tank builds its own color.

my guess is a food-grade dye with UV protectant would be a better option than plumber primer

Bought one for my new setup then I decided to go with an algae scrubber instead. I don’t think I’ll need both but I’ll keep my skimmer shiny and ready to go just in case.

Great vid Ryan the Mam 😊. That tank you do 3% water changes , do you add kalk or Alk or calcium or mag or any additives or do the water changes keep things stable ?
