Thank you so much. My surgeon is not answering my questions or communicating with me. I’m having to learn everything online. He ordered physical therapy for me at 4 weeks post op but wants me to stay in the hard collar for 6 weeks so the physical therapist is very limited in what we can do until the collar comes off. It’s been very frustrating and scary. I had a 2 level ACDF and I’m 5 weeks post op today. I still have a lot of neck pain and have no idea if this is normal or not. Your video was very helpful to me. Thank you so much

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m glad our video was helpful to you during this challenging time. It’s understandable to feel frustrated and concerned about your recovery, especially when communication is lacking. We wish you a smooth and speedy recovery.

Thank you for your question. It’s important to follow your surgeon’s specific recommendations regarding driving after ACDF surgery. Soreness in the neck muscles can be normal as you continue to heal, but it’s best to consult your surgeon to ensure your recovery is progressing as expected and to get personalized advice on when it’s safe to resume driving.
