The narrator is Bill Ratner, and his VO work consists of almost entirely narration or announcer work with the only other notable role is Ambassador Udina from Mass Effect

I'm super hyped for some King's Quest. I REALLY hope this is an opening for even more Sierra games (you really can't go wrong with any of them). Quest for Glory series is still my favorite overall and I'm not ashamed to admit I was the right age to play a lot of Leisure Suit Larry as well! ;D

I feel like Monkey Island would be very fitting for Jared. The comedy mixed with the graphics and setting should be a good fun mix for a playthrough. It's also not as dated as most of the classic point and click games so it's easier to take in.

22:30 You have no idea how happy I am to hear that someone else knows that. Though you forgot to say WHY it's written as "ye". It's because most(if any) printing presses didn't have the letter Þ (thorn), which is pronounced "th". So many people decided to use the letter y since it looks like a Þ cut in half and therefore the most fitting letter.

Growing up, my grandpa had an old Compaq PC in his home office that came with the CD version of this game. Every time we had family gatherings and holidays at Grandpa's, my cousin and I would lock ourselves away in the office and play this game the entire time and it honestly cultivated some of our fondest most nostalgic childhood memories.

There's a charm in games that are between the old text adventure style and the modern visual style they evolved to. Especially when they have a great narrator voice.

I've been away on the Northwest and came home to this! I adored this game growing up. 100% agree on the narrator. I hear his voice in other games! As a ReBoot fan, I'm sure you know Tony Jay who voices megabyte is Cap't Saladin (aka. Frolo from Hunchback). Lot's of great voice acting in this game! Benson (Alexander) is the Beast from Beauty and the Beast. This game was so graphically amazing and a huge step up KQ5. I'm so excited to watch this play through!!!!!!!!! One of my favorites ever....just make sure you have the CD-Rom book. You'll need it...like any good KQ game...

Never played this, but I'm 100% in after this first episode. The sheer enthusiasm for the game is really magnetic, as well as the game itself... you can just feel how much love and craft went into every character so far, every interaction, every line of dialogue, every room and environment, and I have to agree, that narration is on POINT. To round it out, Vlad really came in hot with some fantastic visual translations of jokes here (Legend of the Hidden Temple was a nice nostalgic sight for me!). I'm so into this and excited to see more!

I started watching this not knowing what to expect, and then, for 1993, this game's presentation is amazing. Then I hear Tony Freaking Jay of all people as a talking anthropomorphic collie. Then we got some good advice ABOUT advice. And THEN, when Alexander's in a bookstore, I make a joke about him looking for Animorphs books just before Jared does too. This is going to be something special.

Jared's brief mention of "ye" reminded of something I only recently learned.
Apparently, "wherefore" is not an archaic way of saying "where". Instead, its meaning is something to the effect of "why" or "for what reason". So, in that famous line from Romeo and Juliet, "Wherefore art thou Romeo?" carries the meaning of "Why are you 'Romeo'?" (or rather, "Why are you 'Romeo Montague', member of the house that my house is feuding with?"). It makes sense in hindsight (considering a line after that asks him to "Denounce thy father and thy name"), but it's just something that no one ever cleared up for me in school.
That's it. That's my ramble. Have a nice day, everyone.
