Hey CGB! Just wanted to say thanks. I just made it to Diamond for the first time after watching a lot of your videos and playing decks you made. The win that pushed me over was with the Mono Black deck you uploaded yesterday, and following your comments at the end of the video I took out the Hostile Hostels and put in two Lair of the Beholder. Thanks so much for your dedication to sharing your knowledge and experience!
Totally just did the "Even Money Dance." Thanks for all that you do man, started watching you about a week ago, and running a budget version of PVDDR's mono green that you showcased! It's working pretty dang well! went from Bronze to Diamond following the concepts you've laid down.
Wow I just realized how long I’ve been watching your videos when you did the even money dance, man time flies! Sweet vampire burn deck though, I have a feeling Crimson Vow is gonna be crazy.
@38:00 This is what I really hate about playing against mill, it seems that whenever I play against mill, the mill isnt really random, I always get mana-screwed. Even with milling, it should not change how my hand shapes over the first few turns, but it really seems to, although I'm not sure where the data to capture this would be. The shuffler clearly favors milling land. Does MTGA Assistant provide data on how many lands players can get on the board vs mill decks? And with Dimir Rogues in the last cycle, there was plenty of experience with it.
THANK YOU CGB! I have been sad for a while that I couldn't play Standard Events (pay gold to win gold events) and it was just hidden. Thank you for showing that.
Great video. Seeing you run through an event is a welcome return, I think it adds a great narrative arc that isn't always felt in grinding the ladder. Without the promise of a qualifier, seeing those mythic numbers change doesn't carry the same emotional impact of that feeling of being down 2 losses with 3 games left; at least in my experience as a player. As for the deck, I respect the push to the spikier content that you instituted last year, but I think this video goes to show that spike content isn't mutually exclusive with more experimental attempts to punch up and through with tier 2s. After all, that's where a lot of innovation can live. Still though, perhaps I will eat crow when you eventually try it out on the ladder. Regardless, cheers and thanks for the video.
Not sure if its important, but that player at 31:00 is actually a streamer (goes by "jonhlikesgames") and is usually a super wholesome dude. Teaches/promotes good life tips and pratices just being awsome. Great seing him farming gold as he usually plays janky stuff on stream xD
I've been doing a critter aggro version of this with Dual Strike for the Timmy combo with Hungry For More. You can build Rakdos vamps a few different ways, and they're ridiculously fun.
Return of the Even Money Dance! Celebrate- even “if you keep it all inside”. 😁. Great idea to highlight this hidden play mode for newer arena players too!
I've just got the Vampire on the thumbnail yesterday from a mastery pass and I was pretty surprised XD Haven't got to use it yet so it's awesome I can see you play it before I do
I'm running a similar deck and Thermo-Alchemist is a great addition as it's very synergistic with a lot of the Vampire cards thanks to the zero mana face damage. If you've got Thermo and Socialite on the board and five mana you can get three damage from Thermo plus eight from Hungry for More. Westgate Regent is also a great addition, it's a late-game win-con all of its own and can work wonders alongside Florian.
oww can't wait to have all those others flappy vampire coming out in november, btw do you think some controly/nasty grixis is manageable in the meta ? like with no 5mana red lizards spamming treasures for exemple ? (not targeting anyone)
Love the content! This deck has seemed powerful as always. I have been tinkering with Azorius Disturb in Standard. Have you encountered any builds with the possibility of potency?
Hi CGB, I confess I absolutely remember the Even Money Dance 😂 It's so satisfying to see the 7-win prize being claimed. Was getting a little nervous after the 2nd loss at 41:00, but with 20 more mins in the video, I made me feel hopeful 😂
My therapist says sometimes the brain protects itself by isolating traumatic memories and they stay blocked until a triggering event occurs. Thanks triggering my repressed even-money-dance memories.
Not only do I remember and personally hum the even money dance, I remember the days of Oko and the cat oven...I even remember the precious days of grixis superfriends and 8 teferi esper control....good times.
Wow I was testing a burn deck too Lmao! I just use Meathook Massacre with Hungry For More and Roiling Vortex to prevent lifegain decks from spoiling the fun! Vampires definitely need more help from Crimson Vow
I was there 3000 years ago. I like both, the mythic games and the standard events. The mythic ladder can be a bit monotonous about the diversity of decks you see, and in the standard events the viewer sees all the matches and not only the good ones, and for me the "other" matches are still very interesting. And i like the even money dance, i do it for myself (in my head)
Hey CGB I noticed you have been doing standard event recently instead of ladder (and yes I do remember the even money dance, even though I don't practice it myself). It is actually quite fun, there is always a bit of suspense involved! I get that the reason you do it is to test the deck because you don't necessarily believe in the deck's performance on ladder, but no matter it is still really entertaining.
Oh yeah I remember the even money dance. I was trying to do some burn with Adversary also but kept it in the play queue as it was pretty meh. I didn't use the wildcards for Florian and I tried some different black spells like inscription of ruin and that new egg thing,.. smoldering egg.
I wonder how these new Rakdos vampire cards (and Innistrad vamps in general) would combine with Ixalan tribal vampires. What kind of a deck is it possible to make combining all that?
I actually drafted a deck close to this with thermo alchemists in it. Not sure if they would make sense here but they turn on vampires so easily they felt like the honorary vamps
I do not do the even money dance. I will however bust out a rope of salt rage quit shuffle occasionally. Also I would like to see more event videos like this. I enjoy the channel and watch daily. Thanks for all you do.
This is similar to the deck I'm running so far I'm 32-5 but happy to see you do so well with it - always enjoyed your standard events - and as always you rock!
Liked this videos and also the deck (it's fun outside the ladder). Also I think from time to time some fun and/or tribal decks to play outside the ladder-world ist nice to see here
It is nice on occasion to see a return to Event, if only to see what others are bringing to it. But generally and as we saw, people bring tested Bo1 decks, often as not one of CGB’s.
Really cool deck and built it myself. Got to have fun my first two matches vs two other random brew decks. Sadly starting to run into izzet dragons or G/W midrange. Ran into izzet dragons 4 times in a row lol.

40:53 for anyone curious, that was 11 converted mana cost worth of cards milled by the laughter :)
The way CGB pronounces "igneous" is quite ingenious.
You fools, like this comment more!
In before he talks about comments like this in the next video
^_^
I literally read it as "ingenious" myself every time until I saw this comment
lol he is constantly mispronouncing stuff, it's part of his charm i guess
I REALLY loved the Standard Event format you used to do. Love seeing it again. Really missed it :')
It was amazing seeing you climb your way up to 7 wins, I’d love to see more of it… once or twice a week, or whenever you feel like
6:02 "Ingenious" Inspiration... Yes. That is what that card says. Let's make this a thing.
I just ran through the comments to see someone sharing my pain :p
I get triggered every time he says it. A few other you tube arena video making guys say it the same way. It's a shame its a clever name for the card.
This is the CGB of old I love. Janky deck, standard event. Having some fun, win or lose. Need more of this CGB 😃
Been a LONG time since the even money dance happened. Good to see it again.
Standard events are a lot of fun, I missed them. You get to see a variety of decks and the 7 wins are very satisfying. GGs!
These young folks wont appreciate the Humpty Dance reference during the deck tech but it had me rollin!
Do the humpty hump!
I wish CGB would do the events more often. I remember him doing them in the Eldraine meta.
Totally just did the "Even Money Dance." Thanks for all that you do man, started watching you about a week ago, and running a budget version of PVDDR's mono green that you showcased! It's working pretty dang well! went from Bronze to Diamond following the concepts you've laid down.
I remember the even money dance! I don’t do it myself, but I do hum the little song.
This deck was so fun to watch! More of that please!
Neat list, and cool to see the Standard Event again! I may try this subbing a couple Roiling Vortex into the mix
Wow I just realized how long I’ve been watching your videos when you did the even money dance, man time flies! Sweet vampire burn deck though, I have a feeling Crimson Vow is gonna be crazy.
Love the tribal deck and would enjoy to see more Standard Event runs.
I’m so glad Rakdos Vampires are back! So much fun!
I just love tribal decks
Love seeing standard events again and even more so with silly tribal decks best video ever
One of the coolest decks you've posted in a while!
Loved the Standard Event videos, and while I do enjoy the Ranked too I always missed the Standard Events. Great to see it again.
@38:00 This is what I really hate about playing against mill, it seems that whenever I play against mill, the mill isnt really random, I always get mana-screwed. "Confess woman, confess"... CGB said we should confess and I am about to fetch the comfy chair.

Nice Humpty Dance reference CGB, I love that we are getting old together! Keep the streak alive!!! I'm here everyday with the WOOT!
Man, even money dance actually made me nostalgic. It's been a long ride!
Same but a great one!
Really loved this video! Great seeing some sightly janky but still well tuned decks
Not sure if its important, but that player at 31:00 is actually a streamer (goes by "jonhlikesgames") and is usually a super wholesome dude. Teaches/promotes good life tips and pratices just being awsome. Great seing him farming gold as he usually plays janky stuff on stream xD

I'm here from 2.5 years ago! Ah, the days of Standard Event. Now CGB tears up Mythic, and I'm here for all of it! Keep up the good work.
48:42 so proud that I knew the exact song 🎵
I've just got the Vampire on the thumbnail yesterday from a mastery pass and I was pretty surprised XD Haven't got to use it yet so it's awesome I can see you play it before I do
Love the classic Standard Event gameplay, hope to see more of it!
Liked the video the moment you quoted digital underground!
One of the many reasons you're cool!
Watching cgb play in an event and talking about the even money dance realy took me back to the good old days
I’m just here to say that I appreciate all the effort you put into making content for us, ty CGB
ssh

igneous ingenuity! Really like the return to the Standard Events.
Looks like a solid deck, I'll have to try it for sure.
"I mean I get it. You like predators......that doesn't sound right." 😂😂😭😭
I really enjoy seeing you play alternate formats besides ladder! Would love some more Brawl!
I love watching you play in this event. If i see all the game no matter what happen, i will never miss that!
Seemlessly reference The humpty Dance during deck tech = LIKE
Loved the video! Always fun to see some different opponents than in ladder. People like to throw jank in the tournaments, fun to play.
Just hit Mythic for the first time, been playing magic for about 3 months, thanks CGB.
oww can't wait to have all those others flappy vampire coming out in november, btw do you think some controly/nasty grixis is manageable in the meta ? like with no 5mana red lizards spamming treasures for exemple ? (not targeting anyone)
"Hot Blooded Vampires"
"Sanguine Scorchers"
"Burning Bloodsuckers"
Are the only deck names I could think of
Curious if he would've put a stop before Draw step on the game with mill could he have cast the burn for the kill before the loss from the draw?
Love the content! This deck has seemed powerful as always.
I have been tinkering with Azorius Disturb in Standard. Have you encountered any builds with the possibility of potency?
love this deck, I keep searching for good ways to use the fire adversary and thats a nice one
Hi CGB, I confess I absolutely remember the Even Money Dance 😂

20:43
CGB: I get it, you like predators.... that doesn't sound right 🤣
Even my non-magic playing wife appreciates the Humpty Dance drop, nice work!
I've been reminiscing on the even money dance. I'm glad to see it's faithful return.
i could feel the stakes in getting the gold, you should do this more! awesome vid!
The first time I've ever seen the easy money dance, but cant lie it's already iconic
Since you’ve done werewolves and vampires I’d like to see your take on a zombie deck, maybe like zombie control idk
I remember the even money dance!! Back in the war of the spark days :)
I remember the dance, but I don't do the dance...sadly. Nice games today CGB!
Congrats for inovating again. You're inspirating! Thanks
CGB, content is content. We enjoy everything from top 10 ranked to bottom 10 janked. Put out whatever you want🙂
My therapist says sometimes the brain protects itself by isolating traumatic memories and they stay blocked until a triggering event occurs. Thanks triggering my repressed even-money-dance memories.

I'm here to say I like the events more than high mythic yo-yo gameplay. Keep up the good content!
I remember the Even Money Dance and I love it! As a free-to-play player it is my favorite dance :>
I actually drafted a deck close to this with thermo alchemists in it. Not sure if they would make sense here but they turn on vampires so easily they felt like the honorary vamps
Wow really cool burnpire deck. I must try it out.
So, we saw a vampire deck, with burn spels right to the face and the Even Money Dance. What a great day
For sure would enjoy more content like this and would suggest Selesnya Tokens as a deck
What happen if you cast the roil eruption with kicker from the adversary trigger ?
I do not do the even money dance. I will however bust out a rope of salt rage quit shuffle occasionally. Also I would like to see more event videos like this. I enjoy the channel and watch daily. Thanks for all you do.
when i saw you queuing in that event i already knew you would do the even money dance, that tells how long i'm watching this channel lol
I love the event idea instead of the unranked. I always forget that as a testing option for a deck
Also want to say you piloted this deck extremely well .. don’t think the average player wins some of those
My favorite deck right now. Doing quite well with it.
This is similar to the deck I'm running so far I'm 32-5 but happy to see you do so well with it - always enjoyed your standard events - and as always you rock!
you got a list for a fellow vampire friend?
List! Help us out!
Whoa! 2:05 CowboyGoBlue!
Liked this videos and also the deck (it's fun outside the ladder). Also I think from time to time some fun and/or tribal decks to play outside the ladder-world ist nice to see here
I am here since april 2020 and I well remember the Even Money Dance. Glad it's back!
Love seeing the even money dance again. Crazy its been so long 😄
Hungry for more has been over performing. It's so good
What are they gonna do, waste spells to kill a creature that's gonna die anyways?
Call it Fire and Blood! I remember the even money dance, I don't do it but it's always in my mind.
My favorite tribal and magic player! Let’s go!!!
Why not use Stromkirk Bloodtheif? Seems to synergize very well with the deck.
I liked this, its a nice change to see an event. More please.
I remember the even money dance. You used to also say you liked events more then the nebulous grind more then the ranked ladder
White has Usher and Aspirant and Rem Karolus seems made for burn. Would an RW version work?
Tried the standard event you mentioned, Jesus Wept, everyone takes forever to take a turn in that format! Or maybe I was just unlucky.
mind if I ask which card do you suggest to change shock into in paper?
"Burn after Bleeding"
It is nice on occasion to see a return to Event, if only to see what others are bringing to it. But generally and as we saw, people bring tested Bo1 decks, often as not one of CGB’s.
Really cool deck and built it myself. Got to have fun my first two matches vs two other random brew decks. Sadly starting to run into izzet dragons or G/W midrange. Ran into izzet dragons 4 times in a row lol.
Nice spot for Immersturm Predator, which is a vampire.
epic standart event! Nice video cgb.
