  • Often associated to fire, Saffron is considered as the most auspicious colour in India. The monks and sages of Hinduism wear Saffron clothes as a symbol of abstinence from all the material things, thoughts and pleasures. It has always been a part of BYREDO's founder Indian upbringing both in smell, taste and colour. The fragrance is inspired by this idea of unity and inclusion.
    Top: Juniper Berries, Pomelo, Saffron
Heart: Black Violet, Cristal Rose, Accord Cuir
    Base: Blonde Woods, Raspberry, Vetiver

Hey everyone, next few videos (and this one) have been dug up from the “vault of the unposted” while I finish up the last few things installations in my studio.
    Enjoy!

Besides your intro, where can we hear some of your other music?

The “vault of the unposted” sounds both intriguing and sinister 🤣 Interesting that you talk about it being a bit like a Tom Ford fragrance, that hadn’t occurred to me

BAhahaha literally 😆 although some videos are cursed with camera focus issues, camera stopping half way through (but audio continues), lost files, or content I’ve just felt didn’t have enough constructive input when rewatching!

Great review, and sounds like this one is not for me 😅
Love to hear your thoughts about Byredo’s Mumbai Noise and Bal dafrique. Also wondered if you’d ever consider doing reviews on some of the dupe brands to see if their versions of some of the high end fragrances are any good or not. Good luck with the new studio and look forward to seeing more content when you’re back! 🤗

Thank you Liz!! 😄 I LOVE Mumbai noise, I don’t own it yet unfortunately but filmed a review on Bal Dafrique 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately I need to locate the files since it was the last video I filmed prior to switching to my new system 🥲. I do own a few dupes and as usual I’m brutally honest and wouldn’t want to shatter the illusion of some people believing they smell identical hahah, but I think really breaking some down they become day and night, especially with brands like lataffa and Armaf! But I may consider venturing into dupes in the future as I have bought a few from Zara too but never posted them. 😊

@@FragranceFiend oh me too! I sampled Mumbai Noise briefly in Mecca and I think I really liked it but then got confused whether it was that I was smelling or not cos I tried on so many others - I got in a bit of scent tangle!! 🤣
I’ll keep a look out for your vid on Bal dafrique. 🙌🏾
The dupes thing is interesting as it’s being ‘sold’ to be very similar or close to the original but cheaper, but if it it smells different on the skin then that’s also good to know. Typically all the niche perfumes I like or that work well on my skin (which is not that many) cost hundreds of $$$ especially here in Oz!!! I wish Australia provided more perfume samples in store so we can to try them out - most places I go to don’t even stock any!! See you back online soon! 🤗
