I looked it it up. This is what I found: "Soup is a beverage when it is simply broth and you drink it like so. Soup is food if it's thicker or has things in it." So basically, soup is food that can become a drink if there isn't anyting in there except broth
Ah yes, how to forget the legendary never ending discussion between chat and Meimi over soup bineg a drink, it was truly one of the talks of all time and Meimi slowly losing it over chat determination to say is a drink was peak comedy. Thanks for sharing this clip with us Meimi and big thanks to the clipper too, the editing is funny.
Let it be known that I stand corrected concerning cereal milk as an ingredient and this is indeed the leading cause of the inferior cookies in my area 😔Meimi's still wrong overall about soup though and no amount of tactical victories can change that
Ngl, it's prolly best that I missed this stream, cuz I would've been MALDING at chat. I'm down for trolling as much as the next person, but some things I just CANNOT entertain trolling about, and soup being a drink is one of them. It's a food, not a drink, despite it being able to be drunk. I would never just order soup broth as a drink anywhere. These heathens need to be taught a lesson Meimers.
So I agree that soup isn't a drink, but by your argument, it DOES MEAN boba also cannot be a drink. To deal with this paradox, and because I have no better argument against soup being a drink, I have no choice but to concede that soup IS a drink, unless it has "chunks" (as Nano says) in it i.e. meat, veggie, etc.
@@MajokkoMeimi So then you must accept that the broth is also a drink, minus the solid ingredients in the soup! The protein, lipids, and carbohydrates in milk tea are similar to the protein, lipids, and carbohydrates in a broth, just in different proportions. Both soup and boba must be drinks or must not be drinks as they are too similar to split into different categories.
I ALWAYS HAVE MILK TEA WITHOUT ANY ADDITIONAL TOPPINGS, and it is considered boba or "pearl milk tea" anyway. the toppings alone are not considered soup! however, chicken noodle soup is not the same without the chicken or noodle. there's hardly any soups out there that contain no additional ingredients. because then it's called a broth! if you must harp it then perhaps broth alone is a drink but it's mostly an ingredient.
Meimi sent me here to say that she is completely wrong and that soup can indeed be considered a drink due to the fact of it being in a consumable liquid.

Now just put this on loop for 3 hours or so and relive the live experience
Now I'm confused if soup is a drink or food
Thanks for the clip sweetie I found the debate pretty funny
These are soome high tier editing, absolutely awesome. Also chat trying to gaslight all the way, lol.

ship yourself some cereal milk cookies to take the sting out of being WRONG. milk bar has yummy ones
Soup is afternoon cereal
what the
This is cultural. For the west, soup is NOT a drink. She's right about it being a noun and a verb and they're separate concepts.
Oh dear god, the legendary debate lives once more
Meimi is cute when she gets heated in an argument
Meimi is sending chat right back to kindergarten with this one
“You can drink soup” so soup is a drink
Though soup is meant to be eaten
No, you can't drink everything about soup! Drink is both an action and noun and the noun part is not in play
I can only imagine how much will power you had to use just to get through editing this together without losing your mind again. XD
lol I pointed out timestamps and what I wanted and got the editor to do the hard part BECAUSE I COULDN'T raaa!!
The vine booms 😂
Soup is a drink with extra steps Meimi
the extra step is called EATING
You could say smoothie isn't a drink since it has food in it 😎
it's blended to liquid tho you can't just eat it anymore D:
@@MajokkoMeimi but what if it has bits in it like strawberries?

I've truly learned a lot today
Soup is not a drink. You do not drink soup. You eat soup.
The rant is correct
Soup can be a drink
no!
Dang Meimi, I always knew you were based, but I had no idea you were THIS based
I slurp the soup on the bowl!!
Learn table manners
@@MajokkoMeimi yes ma'am.

The boba milk tea is a drink. No one thinks the pearls are a drink!

Chat becomes delusional when they think they have a chance of pulling a fast one on their Oshi, my honest sincere take lol
Soup is not a drink!
Soup is not a drink because it has solid chunks of food, I just came to that conclusion 🤫
Soup is not a drink. You don't consume a drink using a spoon.
Is Boba a soup?
Wait I asked this before finishing the video, good job chat
@@StichanXD NOO IT'S MILK TEA WITH OPTIONAL TOPPINGS

How would a cat consume soup
You do drink broth but eat soup

Don't mind me. Just passing through to cancel this streamer.
