Its so unique how capes can so very in personality! Ahaha, ours is named Echo, and hes so chill, hes not really loud for the most part, hes really good with our 4 and 5 year old, as well as tolerate to being handled by most people! Funny as hell and very docile/friendly. I guess technically not a true cape, but I cant tell if hes a Grey headed or brown necked.

I cant tell if mine is a greyheaded cape or a cape too actually! Their actually like human beings very true! Im planning to do another video on my cape-Love him so much! I love it how you interact with your cape with your kids, they definitely ned a lot of interaction and very important to have more than one primary handler in the family. Good job! :)

When he says give me a kiss. He makes the kissing sound and kisses my lips. He eats out of my mouth. I've had him before he had feathers. He was naked. Haha. I just can't keep him any longer but I need a true bird lover and owner to talk to

Hey there. I myself have a cape parrot. Hes legit. Not a hybrid. Hes about 13 years old. He says so many words and sentences. Examples. Quit being crazy. You have a text message. Get in your crates. Naughty naughty baby. I love you. Give me a kiss. Happy birthday. He opens doors when you open them he sneezes like me. Coughs like me. Laughs like me. And says ready. Go go go go weeeeeeeeeee. His name is Eli. He says hi Eli. He says. Hi. What are you doing. He says so much. I've documented over 100 words and have them all on video. Would you know anyone that would like to purchase him. I will give you my contact info. This is not a scam. Thanks.

@@TheParrotLife I have previous experience w/ cockatiels. They were easy to care for physically but required a lot of attention. Are Cape Parrots easier than macws or African Greys?

@@joslinnick Right! small birds are so much more work sometimes. Not at all, to those who want a cape parrot I recommend with owners living with two people in the house or remote workers so they can always be with them in the house. Capes get lonely very quickly and super high energy actually. They need a lot of interaction, and they are definitely unpredictable than Macaws if that answers your question. But probably no Noa is actually a lot of work, he def doesn't just chill in one spot lol he def bites too and hurts more than my macaw and dive-bomb

I lived in Zambia for while. Those parrots were not rare and there is lots of nature largely untouched by modern life. Some places are beyond basic. There was European who was breeding these birds readily. never succeeded to get permits to ship them out as I am recalling.

Deforestation is still continuing in Africa thats for sure. Maybe back then there was more parrots but definitely their numbers are decreasing. But thankfully cape parrot project have been saving its numbers because thats why you saw a lot.

@@TheParrotLife latest satellite photos by Nasa show that planet is getting greene. nobody was logging on the way from lusaka to the lake Tanganyika,.24 hours bus ride with nothing to see. just vast emptiness.do not repeat this mantra. world is changing and thousand of places are protecting the planet.no export of birds did safe any of them. really.it is renewable resource. better methods of care would be the solution. Tanzanian government banned a beach net use because people overfished tilapia. within a year I saww thousands of tilapia everywhere. Government just took the easy way out. What about those people on the shore. Food source was taken away. Guess what they got though. Massive cell phone tower in the middle of the village. At one time I qas told that certain fish is gone from the lake. One guy who did not know where it lives spread that rumors and everybody repeated it. So much BS just to scare us and draw money from everybody
