In this free video drum lesson I'm going to treat you to some 'meat and potatoe' drumming from Matt Sorum on the intro to the song "You Could Be Mine" by Guns N' Roses.
The Intro uses a really common drum lick known as the Quad. This lick has been used on countless recordings and is a real classic.
The second part of this video drum lesson shows you how to play the drum groove that Matt then moves into.

My favorite drum intro of all time

We have a really bass heavy floor where I work so whilst waiting for the kettle to boil when I am on my own I often play this in my head or the triplets in Dazed and Confused. Nicely played and I agree easy enough but still sounds really nice and best intro G n R ever had. I think Matt Sorum is better than meat and potatoes. No idea why they brought Adler back.

Nice lesson! It helped me a lot. Please, can you tell me if you are using a special pedal, because mine's is from alesis kit and I haven't improved very much since I began half a year ago.
PourthePuresofPoors ™ for 230$, pearl p932 is really good. for the same price used pearl p2002. lot of people dont like tama and dw is heavy for double bass drum bit lot of kick something like killing in the name.

Haha, I have no problem how people hold their sticks, but there are quite a lot of new drummers who just finished their first lesson of how to hold the sticks, and they wonder around teaching experienced drummers how to hold the drum sticks correctly.
